She’s the mistake I want on repeat

I built my empire with a ruthless edge.
Control isn’t optional—it’s everything.

Then Juliette Lawson walked in.

Smart. Sexy. A legal assassin in heels.
And the daughter of the man my father destroyed.

She’s supposed to be off-limits.
She wants justice.
I want control.

But the second I touched her, I knew—
this would never be just business.

And the line between love and war?
It was never built to hold.

Hi, I'm Alexa,

Spicy Contemporary Romance Author.

Romance novels have always been my sanctuary, a delightful escape which inspired my writing journey.

My stories? Against a backdrop of small town sunsets, and the occasional city lights, they dance through themes of second chances, enemies turning into lovers, and more.

They are led by strong men and complemented by strong vulnerable women navigating the inevitable drama of love and heartbreak, but always with the happily ever after's we all crave.

When I'm not weaving tales of love and passion, you'll find me globe-trotting. I'm a big believer in "But first, Coffee," because every good story begins with a great brew.

Join me on this journey of love, laughter, and the endless pursuit of happy endings.

The back and forth, the betrayals, the relationship building… Alexa Whitmore wrote a fantastic book.

I stayed up way, way, way too late reading this, and only put it down when I couldn’t keep my eyes open. This wasn’t just enemies to lovers, this was full-blown scorched-earth hatred dipped in loathing to lovers and it had me hooked from the start.
The opening chapter had me worried (and I’ll be honest, I sneaked a peak of the end to confirm I was going to be ok!), and then had me hooked.
Then, after that shocking, tantalising, devious opening, we enter into a world where our heroine is sharpening her claws on CEO’s, and apparently he's a glutton for punishment.

The way that the author built their relationship was masterful and devious, and it worked. We had hate, lust and intrigue all combining via manipulation to create a powderkeg that kept them in a state of hyper-awareness. Cue the heartbreak after she finds out some devastating information and then our hero starts to bring out his new golden retriever personality just for her. I actually started to feel sorry for him as you could feel his confusion about her back-and-forth, and his determination to forge a connection. Then, when the author brought it all together? Tied with a bow - I couldn't really find anything that was missed. The only issue is that the final confrontation and resolution was super quick...

The intrigue, the betrayals and the love story? All combine to make an absolutely fantastic novel and I would really love to read over and over again.

Will their love survive?

Will their love survive? This is a question I couldn't answer until in later chapters. I wasn't even sure they were going to get together. They both had lots of family issues. He was unaware of the burden and grief she was carrying. Evan was a billionaire and Juliette
was a lawyer. There was one event after another, love, fighting, threats, murders, hospital stays. That's why I wasn't sure things would calm down enough for them to be a couple. The only thing needed was a little more and descriptive love making. I haven't read Ms. Whitmore's books prior to this but I intend to start on another now. Can't wait. I wasn't provided a book nor was I asked for a favorable review.

1.5/5 - Way too far fetched…

…to be able to suspend any sort of disbelief.

Quasi-vigilante lawyer who has a major chip on her shoulder AND is a virgin? Double it and give it to the next person cuz no one is buying that. And another thing, for a supposedly unrelenting and cold lawyer, Juliette sure is highly emotional and immature which makes her characterization all the more unbelievable. Let’s root something in reality here.

Poor MMC has no idea what’s going on the whole time and yet still willingly chooses to be dragged along by Juliette’s little vendetta.

Love Hate Obsession

This book is a captivating story of hate, retribution, forgiveness, and romance. It has drama, anxiety, and unexpected turns which keep you from putting it down. I highly recommend this read even though there are a few language and formatting errors in the book. It's not enough to stop the interest.

Loved Evan the male character as he is generous honest and caring
I was not too fond of the female character but I understand where she was going through although you can’t blame the innocent for the sins of their fathers just the way she treated Evan wasn’t sitting well with me
Over all I loved the book couldn’t put it down

Evan Sinclair

The book is indeed a good read. But the one thing that is burned in my head is that small picture above every chapter. I have tried and tried to make it out.
Never do this again, Ms Whitmore. People like me find it hard to concentrate!

I didn't need the darkness in this book, but I liked how the main male character was able to forgive.

Great book - enemies to lovers (more on her part). They explode when they finally get together but things from the past threatened to derail them. Good suspense and great world building. When I first started reading the book, I wasn't really sure where it would end up!

Juliette has to avenge her father killer. The Sinclair legacy has been revamped by Evan Sinclair his believe in opportunity, integrity, when necessary brutal to those who betray him. It’s a story that brings two people together and one is punished for his father’s past. This story is smooth, straight to the point. I enjoyed it ..
