Pain is weakness. And failure is not an option.
Playing as the center for The Thunder Knights, I’m not just a hockey player. I’m a weapon on the ice. As long as I win, none of my brutality matters.

The coaches and teachers turn a blind eye to my mistakes, the girls fight between themselves for my attention, and my teammates give me the space I need to hold onto my armor.

Until one day, I crack and he’s there to pick up the pieces.

Unlike others, Liam Meyers isn’t afraid of me. He talks back to me, looks at me like he can see through the layers of ice I’ve built around my heart. And the worst part?
He knows my secret . A secret I’ve struggled to keep from my teammates and my brutal father.

I want to punch that radiant smile off his beautiful face. I want to break him and ruin him. And keep the pieces to myself. All because he caught a glimpse of the shattered soul behind my monstrous persona.

He’s become my obsession and I’m determined to keep him to myself even if it means I have to fight the darkness within me.
Grab this dark, steamy standalone MM college bully romance featuring an obsessive, possessive closeted hockey player and a sweet, gentle, wears-his-heart-on-his sleeve nerd who crashes into his world unannounced.

I couldn't put this book down. Right up there with the tropes I love. Just dark enough, hurt-comfort enough, opposites attract enough, found family, hockey. All the things.
I loved it. Sloppy at times, but I enjoyed it.

Thoughts as reading:

I'm giving this a fair chance because I see it has low ratings due to mislabeling🤔. Apparently not a bully romance? (But it sort of is.) Also, we are told at least twice about Hayden's dark hair, yet the cover has a fair haired model, just a bit distracting is all.😉 Points off for continuing to call it ice hockey.😐, we know.
A very captivating start.
The ideas are all there but at times the delivery feels a little amateur at the moment, but that gets better.

Liam caught the attention of a predator, an obsessive stalker staking his claim. The night he saved Hayden he sealed his fate. Hayden's 'bully' tendencies were rooted from trying to protect himself from his real bully.

Off topic: I care about the books/stories. I hardly ever check on the authors. But this just felt off in some way. I looked up the author and found her other pen (?) name and books (FM)
What annoyed me is at the end of the book she writes that book two is already out, clearly it is not. What's going on here? also a FB page that is empty :/ not the best promo.

I expected this to be bad, and I wasn’t … wrong but not bad in an unreadable way just bad in a cliche way. Why was Liam never reacting to Hayden having evil mood swings that would’ve been interesting to go into but no it was just glossed over because they knew they were meant to be since they first met. Easy fun popcorn read
