Ice & Fire: Ukraine, Russia, lsrael, Palestine

Rate this book
How are the wars in Palestine and Ukraine connected? Is it possible to support one occupied nation without supporting the other? The Palestinian refugees in Gaza and the people of Ukraine have much in common, now and historically. Both are resisting invasions, mass repression, and war crimes. Biden supported Ukraine’s resistance but is now backing Israel with the widely criticized 'Blank Check' policy, one hundred percent. Similarly, President Zelensky has repeatedly expressed 'unconditional support' for the Israeli apartheid state. The Hamas raid was criminal, and despicable, and warrants condemnation; however, it is widely viewed that Israel’s response is disproportionate, affecting primarily civilian victims and failing to prioritize rescuing the hostages. Diaspora Jews now face escalating public image problems because of conduct by Netanyahu’s ruling coalition. The cutoff of food, water, electricity, fuel, internet, and medical supplies violates the laws of war, and yet Netanyahu’s war cabinet ignored the plea for a ceasefire despite the expert opinion that his actions are war crimes, if not full genocide. "Never Again for Anyone" is a new slogan that honors the victims of the Holocaust, but also serves as a reminder that vengeance never justifies crimes against humanity. The editor and contributors oppose and resist all forms of racism, including anti-Semitism and Islamophobia, arguing against the inconsistency and hypocrisy of those who justify Putin’s aggression while protesting the actions of the Israeli Defense Force in the Middle East and NATO in Europe. The writers hope to point a way forward so that readers of this book will be well-informed and prepared to debate and analyze developments in the peace movement and the upcoming political contests of November 2024. This book tackles some of the hard questions dealt with in the author's earlier anthology, Stand with Debunking the Propaganda, with a hard look at the evidence and willingness to transgress some of the taboo topics that constrain the free and frank debate the topic deserves.

Excellent content with an absolutely atrocious quality of editing. Respect the contributors and hire an editor. AI generated cover art is cringe and should not be repeated.
