Background After reading the first page, I realized that this is the famous Yaqeen Ka Safar drama starring Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Ali. I have not watched the drama, and I am surprised that I had missed reading this from Farhat Ishtiyaq. I have read almost all of her books.
Review A story of Zubiya Khalil and Asfandyaar Khaan. The backdrop is so pathtically common - A girl living at relative's place and outsed and accused for no fault of hers and has to run away to save her self-respect. Were have you read it before? In a million other stories.
Asfand is arrogant-yet-caring dude. Cliche'. Zubiya spent her life in a restricted household and falls for 'love' promises in her early teens. Cliche'. Asfand also has his share of a very familiar twisted past.
And then happily ever after. For forty pages, it is a typical Farhat story. But I can tell this will make for a real good drama.
Infinity stars>>>> I loved the drama even when I was 12 and now that I've read the book as an 18 y/o my feelings for it didn't wither away with time. I don't care what everyone else say but this is indeed a complete story. Close to my heart. Asfandyar & Zubiya have my heart. Guess I've had an eye for green flags since I was a kid. We deserve more stories like such. Kia toota phoota review de Rai mai. But y'all get my point right T~T
because i was in love of this darama and it is one sitting read i read it again to mesmerize myself after reading Nimra ahmad's mere khuwab mere jugnu. which is more fictional then real but this bring me closer to the misery of human life ...
Reading this made me realise Pakistani dramas adapted from novels are so damn good if they cast good actors and directors. Usually the live actions are not considered good but I think here when the novels are adapted they are given more depth. The story in book was just okay, wasn't even memorable, sab jaldi jaldi hogaya, asfand and zobia ki koi khaas interaction nahi hui but ek din bus usse usse muhabbat hogaye 😭😭 even for a short story it was tooo early, alot of characters their ends and everything was much better in the drama, the chemistry of both main characters were also better in drama, I also liked how Asfand and Zobia had met in past in drama and were connected. But the non linear style in story was better than the dramatized version, I think if it was adapted in the same way where the story started from the present maybe it would've been more thrilling. The writing style was just okay, long descriptions, ling descriptive dialogues but this one was still better than Woh Jo Qarz Rakhte The. Most importantly, I loved how Farhat Ishtiaq highlighted the issue amd consequences of religious extremism and strictness on children especially young girls, domestic violence, and femicide.
This book is always on my shelf. A little story comprising of few pages and yet giving you a feel of a complete Dastan. I love it. Yes, its cliché. Yes, its about arrogant hero, soft and cute heroine. But for me the side characters are what add more to the story. Dr Asifa and Dr Sheroz, Sister Razia and the rest; everyone has their part, no one is sidelined. That makes it beautiful. And the crisp of a plot with poetry especially the one on the dinner table, its so entertaining.
I have read it multiple times and I don't think I will ever get tired of it.
It was kinda meh, I LOVE LOVE, LOVE the show, I don’t even know how many times I’ve watched it, but show aur book m zameen aasman ka farq h. I could be the leader of “books are always better than the movies “ club , but it just didn’t had the intended impact on me, it started from the interview scene and zubia’s back story got revealed by Zubia when asfi proposed her. And ugh, they just didn’t had the chemistry! Like, At All!!
It was a refreshing story. I was always surprised by how easily Dr. Asfandyar is able to tell what is going on in Zubiya's head. I think Dr. Zubiya is a little too self-conscious, but that is understandable knowing her background. In all honesty, it's a heart heartwarming! I loved the characters and I especially loved the drama adaptation of this book!
It is a classic, one of the best novels I ever read. Contains a story revolving around many characters and the difficulties they face and how they initially become interlinked and how there lives change due to certain issues and still they are successful at the end maintaining a happy life!!!
So what my mother's obsession with Pakistani shows has caught up to me? It was cliched but tolerable kind of cliched. Much better than the show. Reading it felt nice and to be honest, it's all I care these days. I no longer have the energy for criticism.
I love it when a man loves women so much that he don't care about her past. 🧎🏾♀️🧎🏾♀️ all he cares about is her, her well being and never disrespects her for her past I lovee so much Asfanyar 🫦
