Steel Me Away

Rate this book
Emmy thought that breaking free of her abusive fiancé, Robert, was enough to let her rebuild her life. With the help of J., and the Sons of Steel MC, she was finally able to fight back. But J. and the club still have problems of their own, and their troubles leave no room for Emmy to rebuild her shattered life.

Instead, Emmy feels like it's slipping away from her again.

After all, how can you build a future when you're still locked in a battle with your past?

In order for their love to move their lives forward, both Emmy and J. need to fight once more.

Against their enemies.
Against their families.
And against themselves.

Vivian Lux is a penname for author Theresa Leigh

Theresa Leigh is a romance author whose love of reading is so intense, she sometimes injures herself by walking around with her nose in a book. She loves writing stories that have you feeling every emotion... sometimes all on the same page.

After five years of writing romance under a penname, Theresa finally decided to own up to how she was spending her all time. Her mother now knows all about the kinds of books she writes. She reacted more positively to it than Theresa expected.

Theresa lives and writes in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York State (not the city) (that distinction is important to her), where she lives with her husband, twin sons and twin orange cats, Pumpkin and Jackie O’Lantern. When she's not writing or reading, she enjoys eating too much Thai food, walking around barefoot, and cooing baby talk at her cats.

It was an entertaining story but for my taste too long, with a lot of filler chapter.
Both learned important life lessons that from now on will help them in the new stage they are starting, forgetting the past and resentment.

Emmy and J.'s story continues in this book. Emmy is with J. at his clubhouse and is living with them. She does not feel useful and is just wandering through life. As usual, when things get tough Emmy runs. J. puts other things before Emmy one night and she doesn't know how to cope with his distance. She remains childlike in this book still. After running home to her parents, things come to a combustive conclusion with her and Robert. J. and Emmy realize they need to try to move forward. J. faces his own demons in this book and it was nice to see the conclusion to their story.

Second in the series!!

Wow, this sequel was amazing!!! All that I hoped omit would be. Finally getting Justice for Emmy for all that her ex fiancé did to her!! Standing up to her parents for what she wanted and believed in and getting closer to her brother, Andy again!! There was a lot of danger, action, revenge, and redemption!!!! Loved it!!!

I received an ARC of this book for my honest review. Loved it!! I like the chemistry between J., and Emmy. They are a perfect couple. You won't go wrong with this book. And don't forget #1. Can't wait until #3 comes out.

I liked this book so much more than the 1st book of this series. I am glad to see Emmy and J worked though their family stuff.
