Do fairytale's always have a happily ever after? Jay and Lil's had just found the love they once shared and foolishly lost. But, a horrific turn events threatens to end it forever. Jay must race against time to save his ol' lady Lil's and their baby before tragedy strikes. In this sequel we learn more about Jay, the deep love he has for his soulmate, and just how far he is willing to go to protect her.
This novella is approx. 50,500 words and does not contain a cliffhanger ending like it's prequel. However, an epic love story like Lil's and Jay cannot possibly be wrapped up in two tidy little novella's... now can it? Warning: This novella is intended for those 18+ of age and contains strong language, sexual content, adult situations and a direct continuation of it's prequel A Lil' Less Lost'.
I eventually finished this book after being on holiday. It was just as good.as book one. All the characters were great and there some I would.like to read more about and I hope I do in the next books xx
After the incredible cliff-hanger of book one in this series my expectations for this follow up story were very high. Thank goodness when I threw my kindle after A 'Lil Less Broken it landed on a soft spot because otherwise I would have missed this wonderful sequel!
I don't want to say too much because the plot twists and turns flow one after the other. I did get to know Jay even better and, through more flashbacks, gained more understanding of what brought he and 'Lil together. I love these two and the loving, supportive and badass people that make up their family.
Thank you Tara for a non-kindle throwing ending this time, but I'm so ready for book three! ~ Diane, 5 stars
This is the second part of Jay and Lils story. It continues straight on from book ones cliffhanger. The author did a great job of portraying the characters as real. Just love Lil and especially Jay.
Jay will do anything to protect Lil. He's a fantastic alpha male. We get to know him more in this story which I loved.
Highly recommend you go 1-click and read book one before you read this book. It was certainly a one sitting read for me. Looking forward to read book three:)
“This was a fresh start, a new beginning. I was cleansing my soul. I had allowed myself a minute to wallow in this, feeling fragile and vulnerable, but no more. It kind of feels like a rebirth, a salvaging from the ruin.”
“Life had gone by, with Jay and me losing our way and finding each other again, but this place was a constant, a reference point for us and part of our story.”
“Baby… this is where I told you for the first time that I loved you. I loved you for a long time before that and every moment since. I love you more than I care for myself, my life, and I would gladly give them both if I had to, to make you happy and keep you safe.”
“I was destined to love you and only you and I will love you every moment until there are none left.”
My Review:
This is my second foray into the MC genre and much like my initial experience from reading a Chelle Bliss novel, I am proud as punch and pleasantly surprised to have enjoyed it so much. Until a month ago, I had never read or even would have expected to pick up a book of this genre. I really should have known better, but didn’t think I would be interested or was qualified for some reason, since I have never watched Sons of Anarchy, am a well-educated, professional, pasty-skinned Anglo-Saxon woman, in her 50s, with no tattoos or leather clothing. I don’t even have a denim jacket. My only real-life experience with this sub-culture has been occasionally seeing Hells Angels riding in tight groupings on the freeway, from the safety of my personal car.
I adored this Little Less series by Tara Oakes like a new and delightful toy, and I didn’t want to put it down. I read both novellas in a day. Her stories were all involving, entertaining, and an easy read, yet something totally outside my own experience, and entailed learning a bit of new vocabulary. I saw elements of several blended genres, including new adult, family drama, women’s fiction, and erotic romantic, and suspense. I loved seeing bad-ass bikers described as romantics, fathers, lovers, brothers, extended family, and caring and tender souls. And the sensual scenes had me gasping, in a good way. I typically avoid reading series, but I hope I am paying attention when the next installment comes out. But for now, I am feeling the need to make a trip to the mall and pick out some boots and leather accessories, and just may troll the internet later and price a scooter.
Yes yes yes...more of the same good stuff as in the first book...but we get a lot more in-depth coverage of what went on in the past when Jay and Lils' first really started their passionate love affair. This book starts right where the first one ended...massive cliffhanger that left us wondering what happened and Jay in a real panic that his life would never be the same. WARNING: If you have not read the first book don't read any further! When Jay's worst fears are confirmed to be unfounded, he is determined to get his baby back safe and sound. He gives up a lot more than big money to the very shady Shade (perfect name for this creep) only to find out later that he is still not free from the threat and danger of the rival club's takeover attempts. Just when Jay and Lils' are about to get surprising news and hit a big milestone in their relationship, tragedy strikes again and what was most precious to Jay is no longer safe from harm. The stakes keep getting higher, mysterious unknown threats literally walk straight through the gates of the compound and the entire club is on high alert. Someone or something is causing trouble for the MC and pretty much when all seems back to normal, we are left with the unsettling worry of possible danger in the form of a new romance. I really appreciate how the author goes back and forth between NOW and THEN...you get the history of manwhore Jay as he sleeps his way through high school (not really "sleep" but you know what I mean), works hard to become a Prospect (with no help from his own father) and finally cements his future with Lils' when she turns 18 and graduates (their prom weekend was oh so sexy and sweet and just had me grinning through the whole thing). Jay's relationship with Tiny (Lils' brother) is also explored more in detail and we learn just how much like a real blood brother he is to Jay after all that they went through as young boys together. Again, we get the message that although the MC brothers chose this life for themselves, their women and children often become casualties of war so to speak, and it was as enlightening as it was painful at times to read. Looking forward to starting the next book since this one left SO many more interesting and unresolved loose ends to tie up and I really want to know who the hell Charlie is!!!

Email: sizzlingpages@gmail.com A ‘Lil less lost is the explosive continuation of Jay and Lil’s passionate love story. If you read the first book in the series , A Lil’ Less Broken then you know that it ended on a MASSIVE cliffhanger. This installment started off with a bang and kept me flipping pages hoping and praying for this sweet couple to catch a break. Jay is determined to get the love of his life back and save her and their unborn child.
Lines were crossed and deals were made. Whatever it took and Jay was going to get Lil back. What I loved about this series so far is that it has so many unique and different characters that add to the feeling of family in this dangerous yet vibrant and full of love MC world.
There were some twists and turns and even some added POV’s that made me sit up and take notice quite a few times. When Jay and Lil are reunited things are so emotional and I just fell harder for Jay. He’s one tough alpha who doesn’t hide his love for his woman.
Jay pulled out some romantic times and I was smiling and pleased with the sexy romance.I eagerly await the next book in this series and am so curious to know where Ms. Oakes will take us next.
Favorite Quotes or Lines: I have never felt pain like that before. I’ve been shot, stabbed, had bones broken, but nothing compared to the damage done when Lil’s left And took that love away from me.
NADBB was given an Arc in exchange for an honest review. That said we’re Tara Oake fans so we would have purchased it to do one! This is book 2 in Tara Oakes series and picks up where book 1 left off. Book one (A Lil’ Less Broken) review will be posted also. I keep my reviews somewhat vague, because if I truly like a book I think that’s a journey you must take, and not read here. And with that:
Synopsis:
This book is more about the love story of Jay and Lil. Their romance is a bumpy ride, but filled with beautiful moments. The way these two characters relate to each other, the strength of their connection and ultimately their love is drives the story and pulls the reader in.
In this book you get the answer to the cliff you were perched on in the first book. You get to see just how deep Jay’s love for Lil’ reaches and what he’s willing to do for her. If you liked the first book? You will LOVE this one.
The Good:
There is a lot of good in this book. I loved that I got to see it from more of Jay’s perspective this time. I loved that I got to see more of the Kingsmen and the MC life. The secondary characters were engaging and I want to learn more about Charlie.
The Bad:
I’m not a big fan of cliffhangers. I’ve had to put that aside to get to know Tara Oakes. It’s something I never regretted because she writes with a clear voice that sucks me in and get a “Lil” Lost. You don’t get a cliffhanger in this story. Still there were questions I wanted answered! Questions that left me going but hey! I want to know …… Still as is Tara’s style I’m sure book three will answer my questions.
The Review:
This book surprised me actually by how much I did like it. The lead character Jay might become a permanent book boyfriend.
The Rating:
4.3 to 4.5 Yes I’m in for book 3 please. Hurry up! I have questions woman!
Tara Oaks' book is called A Lil' Less Lost The Kingsmen M.C Series #2.
This picks up right where it leaves off in book one. So you will need to read the first book. Although, this book is not as on the edge as the first it is still engaging. In this book you will find out if Jay will find Lil's and if he will get her back safely. Some new characters are introduced in this book as well. You get to know Clink a little more in this book and he is the one who meets up with this new women Charlie/Charlotte. Charlotte is a nurse at the local hospital. Her Jeep is being repaired at The Kingsmen M.C.'s auto-shop. She has been wanting to get in with The Kingsmen M.C. for a while now. Her motives are unknown at this time. However, they do not look promising for The Kingsmen M.C.
Shade has completely lost his mind and is losing favor with The Slayers. Shades ol'lady Vicky was picked up by Jay and is used to get information. Talks and demands were made by Shade to return Lil's back. Once the demands were made by the Slayers, The Kingsmen made their vote and decided how they were to get Lil's back. The President of The Kingsmen M.C., who is Jay's father, and Jay had two different ideas on getting Lil's back. At the end of this book it picks up in excitement with the up coming rescue of Lil's.
This book goes back to the past of Jay and Lil's relationship. You get a little more insight into their relationship. You get an understanding of how Jay felt when Lil's left him. You get some POV of Clink and Charlie. This book does not end with a cliffhanger but it does leave it open for the next book. There are a lot of unknowns and unanswered questions. Why are the police targeting Lil's? Who is Charlie and what does she really want with The Kingsmen M.C.? These are some of questions I look forward to in A Lil' Less Hopeless that comes out in December of 2014. I give this book 4 stars. ~Nicole~
I received a gifted copy in exchange for an honest review. WOW!! No other words to describe this incredible novellla. This book picks up right where book one left us hanging but for the first few chapters its told mostly in Jays POV which I really loved seeing as we got to see his side of things. Loved how we got to see Jay reminscing on his past with Lils. Quite a few curveballs our thrown in with a woman named Charlotte or Charlie as she is called and Clink cant wait till book three to find out what that is all about. Even though this a novella it does not feel rushed at all and Tara managed to pack alot into this novella without skipping out on anything. I read this in a few hours its that good i couldnt put it down it has it all drama, killer storyline, off the chart scorching sex scenes and a little bit of humor thrown in. You will defitnely not be dissapointed reading this book but make sure to read book one first or you wont know what is going on.
This picks up right where book two leaves off. And thank GOD!! Lil's gotten herself into trouble again and it will take a rally of the MC to get her back. Tensions are high and the stakes are higher in this second installment of the Kingmens MC Series. Fear and Heartbreak at times will lend to the happy to-be-continued at the end. Jay pulls out the big guns to bring his ol' lady home and make sure she is safe. Promises are made that will bind their love and lead to the road of their forever. But they have to get past a few road-blocks first. One being to get to Lil' and it's definitely not easy to wait for it to happen.
I am anxious to get to book three to see where this story goes. There is still so much unsaid and new revelations that need to be answered. I recommend reading book one first as jumping to this one will leave you playing catch up and missing a lot of back story. Even with the bits you get in this book. Jay is still a sexy bad boy and one helluva book-boyfriend.
A Lil Less Lost picks up right where A Lil Less Broken left off and THANK HEAVENS cause I about lost it when I got to the end!
Lils been taken and Jay is going to do anything that he can to get her back...even if that means going against the clubs set plans. He just got her back and isn't willing to lose her again.
This is a fabulous continuation of Tara's Kingsmen MC Series. I love the dual POVs as well as the flash backs. They provide great insight to the main characters which help the explain why they are the way they are. This book introduces a couple of new characters which have me itching for book three!! The book doesn't quite end on a cliffhanger but definitely leaves you wanting more. And I don't know about everyone else but I WANT ME SOME CLINK!! Can't wait for the next book!
Can you say whoops!!! I can't believe I forgot my review for book 2. But anyways.......we are picking up where we left off from one. Lil's is gone and Jay will do whatever it takes to get her back period. His father of course wants to handle this differently but Jay just can't do it his way. I loved that I got the POV's from Jay and Lil's. I'm stuck on these type of books. Even had a little bit from Charlie and Clink. There's no cliffy here but we have a book 3 coming! Jay is one hot Alpha male and is NOT afraid to go to the extreme for his Ole Lady and unborn child! And definitely not afraid nor ashamed to show his feelings. I won't lie I was left for wanting more Jay and Lil's!!!!! I can't wait for book 3 it just can't get here fast enough.
Book 1 was a cliff hanger, so since the books are available with Kindle Unlimited I decided to follow up with book 2 hoping it would give me a final ending. I guess you can loosely say Jay and Lil's have their happy for now. But another character was introduced into the story, Charlotte aka Charlie, whose goal is to infiltrate the MC and bring it down. We don't know why unless the little insinuations that possibly a federal agency is watching them means she's with the feds. But then again she might be related to a girl who died in the book and is on a vengeance trip to destroy the club. It's one of those stories that while the main couple MAY be in an ok spot, there's questions that do not leave you feeling like the whole story has been told.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I loved this book, once I picked it up I could not put it down. This book I feel had more to it, more story, more drama, more everything! I love how strong each character is. The book started off where the last one ended and it was non stop intense. Lils' traded herself to save a friend (But later to find out Shade lied about her getting let go) She also had no idea what the result of her pregnancy test said. Jay is on a mission to get his woman back. There is so many unanswered questions that finally get answered. I also loved how we got to see some new characters, Clink who is the one who brought Jay into the club and took ownership over him while he was a prospect and Tiny (the brother of Lil). The book just seemed to fall perfectly into place and I am looking forward to book 3!
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, betrayal, danger, suspense, and heartbreak.
If you have not already read the below I recommend reading them first: A Lil' Less Broken (The Kingsmen MC #1)
This is more of Lil’s and Jay’s story. Lil’s and Jay have loved each other forever. When Lil’s finds herself in danger she must once again get help from Jay. Will he always be there to bail her out? What much can they both take before they are even more broken? Can Lil’s be protected from even herself?
I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next part of this story.
I started reading A Lil’ Less Lost straight after reading the first book in the series, I couldn’t stand not knowing what had happened, due to the cliffhanger it was left on. This book starts right from where the first book ends so we do not miss anything in between. Jay is going mad wanting to find Lil’s, and the suspense near killed me waiting to see what would happen with Lil’s and whether Shade would get his comeuppance.
I liked learning more about Jay too and the club too I was nice to get some more background on the people mentioned in the book.
This book is written with both Jay and Lil’s POV and it also has a kind of reminiscing in the form of writing Then and Now.
In this next installment of the Kingsman MC series we think we are on the road to the HEA for Lils and Jay. But are we? What will happen to Lils when she tries to save her friend? There is more on the line here for Jay as he races to come up with a plan to help save the love of his life before any harm come to her or his unborn child.
There is plenty of angst, and twists in this one. Hang on for a ride. The steam factor is awesome, Tara Oakes knows how to create really sexy images of hot bikers and uses plenty of descriptive words to describe those sexy scenes.
A Lil Less Lost begins seamlessly where A Lil Less Broken left. In typical Tara Oakes fashion, this book has super steamy scenes, lots of action, twists and turns and drama. The first part of the story is told in Jay's point of view, which was really interesting. I love him reminiscing about Lil and their history. I love that he is willing to do whatever he needs to do for Lil and their unborn child. While this book does not have a cliff-hanging ending, the ground work for the next book is clearly laid. Who is Charlie and what does she want?!! I cannot wait to read book 3!
This series continues to get deeper into the story and relationship that is building between Lil' and Jay. This time we hear from Jay's perspective more and it gives us an idea of how much she really means to him. A new couple is introduced and I can't wait to see where the future will take Clint and Charlie. There are still unanswered questions as the book ends that makes you have to start the next book in the series. Love this author.
NOTHING will stop Jay! How far and to what lengths would you go to save the one you are destined to live the rest of your life with?Apparently for Jay...there are NO limits... his Lil's is his entire being. In Book two,A Lil' less lost,we see his struggle to get his baby back to where she belongs---with HIM!Driven by love he would go against his own club...he is a man on a mission.Another beautiful sequel to this series I highly recommend.
What an amazing continuance to the first book! Can Jay get to Lil before things go way wrong! Can Lil make it through the craziness knowing she has to protect her unborn child! Twists turns and an awesome event, these two fight for each other and the family that they love! But there is something else that's brewing to come down on the club! I can't wait to read then next installment of this series!
Tara drags us tright back Into the action after the ending of book 1, which by the way had me on the edge of my seat. This is just as fast paced and I loved how it is told mostly from Jay's POV. A new mysterious character is introduced into the group and it's obvious she's hiding something, can't wait for book 3.
Really enjoyed reading lils a jay story I didn't like that every once and a while there would be a . Chapter for Charlie-who I still don't understand -&clink it just seemed random to me I was really hoping to just read the full story of jay and lils.... besides the feeling of things being just thrown in I really enjoyed their story
I read Book 2 immediately after Book 1 so I stayed in the story for the long haul. I was so glad the spelling and grammatical errors were significantly lower in A Lil' Less Lost. Thank you! I am definitely going on to Book 3. I can't wait to see what happens! I am so hoping there is more Clink! He is hot!
Love the character's, the storline took a twist in this book, alittle mystery with the hot romance and family of the Kingsman MC. Demoted a star for typos, now I'm not one to complain, but this book clearly wasn't proof read very well. Still an awesome book with great characters, you'll love Lil's and Jay they are a great couple!
I enjoyed book 2 just as much as book 1. The storyline in book 2 started off where book 1 ended but in was from Jay. A gritty MC read but a great one. I cant wait to see what's in store for the next book.
i found my new favorite MC books the characters are so life like you can relate to them ad want to be there to hug em and hold them. the storyline captures you and wont let go. once i started i couldnt stop reading this book and cant wait to read the next book.
