After losing my mom, I needed distance, purpose… something to hold onto. She always dreamed of coming here to forage, and now I’m chasing that dream for both of us.
What I didn’t expect?
The wilderness to bite back—to find a grumpy, possessive ranger in the woods who looks at me like I’m his next obsession.
SAWYER
I live off the grid for a reason. No one bothers me, and I like it that way.
Until she shows up. Calla Quinn. College freshman. Innocent. Curious. Wandering into territory she has no business exploring.
And now that she’s stepped onto my land, there’s no going back.
She’s trespassed, and that makes her mine by default.
She just doesn’t know it yet.
But she will.

Ranger’s Claim is an age gap, single dad, mountain man romance with a possessive alpha hero, wild terrain, and one off-limits woman who doesn’t stand a chance.
If you're obsessed with dirty-talking rangers and fast-burn heat, this standalone can be devoured in under 2 hours.
No cliffhangers. No cheating. Just a rugged HEA you’ll crave again and again.
✨Huge thank you to Bridget Adrienne and her team for sending me an ARC of Ranger’s Claim!✨
Let’s get this out of the way: this book is wild. And I mean that both literally (the woods are involved) and metaphorically (so is a snare trap, rope, and a whole lot of tension). Ranger’s Claim is the kind of novella you pick up thinking, ”I’ll just read a few chapters before bed” and then find yourself an hour later wondering if you’ve been personally stalked by a flannel-clad forest god named Sawyer Creed.
Let’s talk about the good: the setting is vivid (Pacific Northwest coziness meets danger), the emotional stakes are high, and Calla’s backstory has real weight. I appreciated that she wasn’t just a wide-eyed freshman—she’s grieving, independent, and stubborn in all the right ways. And Sawyer? He’s tortured, and—while definitely over-the-top—clearly written to tap into a specific brand of dominant protector fantasy.
But let’s be honest: this story asks you to suspend a lot of disbelief. The insta in the instalove is no joke. Things escalate from “we just met” to “I will ruin every man who looks at you” very quickly. The possessiveness gets intense fast, and if you’re not into dominant dynamics with a side of rope and dirty talk so filthy it practically scorches the page, this might not be for you. That said, it knows exactly what it is—a fantasy that goes hard, doesn’t apologize, and still somehow sticks the emotional landing.
While it’s written as a novella, I found myself needing just a bit more trust and emotional grounding before the rope and growling took centre stage.
That said, there’s definitely a beating heart under all the heat. The scenes with Sawyer’s son Liam are lovely, and Calla’s grief and financial stress add meaningful context to her choices. I just wish the emotional arc had been given a little more breathing room before it jumped headfirst into possessive obsession territory.
Overall? A spicy, wilderness-set fantasy that knows exactly what it’s doing—if you're in the mood for primal heat, morally grey rangers, and some very NSFW trail encounters, this might hit the spot. Just be ready to suspend your disbelief and embrace the chaos.
Thank you for sending me this ARC book! Yet again Bridget Adrienne sucks me into a quick love story! Ooh so spicy!!! When she says INSTA Love baby she ain’t playing around! Sawyer sees Calla and is instantly in love and possessive! For a 93 page book it packs a punch! While I do love that I can finish it quick, this story I would have liked a teeny few more details to give more background. But it really does not take away from the story, it’s just me being nosey! The side stories with ex and the young and dumb ranger really make it intertwined in a keep me interested way! Love these short insta love books, can’t wait to read more!
In this installment of the Untamed Rangers series, a series full of Insta love romances and Rangers with filthy mouths, we follow the story of Calla and Sawyer.
Calla is a 19 year old college student who finds herself at the mercy of a workplace creep. This is when we meet Sawyer, a single dad who’s nearly twice her age, built like the Brawny man himself, with ruggedly good looks. Our Ranger steps in to save the day more than once throughout this 80 page adventure.
This was a thrilling and fast paced adventure, there’s nothing sweet about it— aside from his undying love and need to protect our FMC. Oh and our wonderfully heartwarming HEA.
This is a perfectly quick steamy ride, don’t miss your chances to take it free with KU!
Thank you to the author for a copy of this ebook in exchange for this honest review.
I love me a strong tough man. This couple goes through the thick of it. Somehow they come out the other end better than ever. This was a quick read but the fire was there from chapter 1 and NEVER STOPPED. This whole series has been amazing. Love love love.
🌶️🌶️🌶️ This is my fourth book in the Untamed Rangers series (all are standalones), and y’all — I’m still completely obsessed. I actually reached out to be an ARC reader after devouring the earlier ones, and now I’m circling back to catch up on the rest because I need them all in my brain.
In Ranger’s Claim, we meet Calla Quinn — a smart, fiercely independent university student getting through life without much support (and yes, we’re serving the virgin trope here. Also, I think she’s 19? I forgot to keep track, sorry!). Enter Sawyer Creed: an older, grumpy, single dad in the middle of a messy divorce… and let’s just go ahead and toss in that age gap while we’re at it.
I loved the single dad angle — no spoilers, but it adds so much heart to the story. The only thing that pulled me out a bit was the insta-love that escalated from zero to ropes real fast. 😅 It felt a little too quick for a virgin FMC, but hey, the Untamed Rangers series has always leaned heavy on the spice with just enough plot to keep it addictive.
As for Sawyer, his possessive anger flares were intense (which I don’t mind), but I did wish we got a deeper look into what fuels that rage. A little more emotional background would’ve helped round out his character.
That said, still a fun and steamy addition to the series. Virgin FMCs aren’t usually my go-to, but if you enjoy that trope? This one is right up your alley.
And I can’t resist sharing this quote that gave me a full-on coffee snort: “Here you go. Black coffee. Enjoy your… darkness.” 😂 I am the black coffee drinker. I am the darkness.
Tropes: Age Gap, Possessive MMC, Instalust, Single Dad
Huge thanks to Adrienne Bridget for the ARC! 💌 This is book 2 in the Untamed Rangers novella series, and listen—there’s something about a grumpy, broody ranger in the wilds of the PNW 🌲 that just works.
After losing her mom 💔, Calla heads to Mt. Baker to start over and study Mycology 🍄 (obsessed with this unique touch!). With no family and bills piling up, she takes a job at a little roadside coffee hut ☕—cue fate stepping in when she meets Head Ranger Sawyer.
From the moment he sees her, Sawyer is locked in 👀. The man is gruff, older, and way too protective—but it’s giving feral, mountain man soul mate vibes, and I’m not mad about it 😏. Their age gap (20 years!) adds to the taboo tension, and every scene drips with chemistry—even when he’s trying to stay away. (Emphasis on “trying.”)
Let’s talk about that mouth on Sawyer... 💦 The man could melt glaciers with his dirty talk. The spice is intense—think smolder and sizzle.🔥
My one wish? That this was a full-length novel! 💭 I craved more build-up, more stolen moments in the woods 🌲 or at the university library 📚. The instalust hit fast, and while it was hot, I think their story would've thrived with more pages to explore the emotional slow burn.
Still, if you’re craving a short, steamy, emotionally vulnerable escape featuring a cinnamon roll wrapped in grizzly bear energy 🐻, this is one worth checking out.
✔️ Quick read ✔️ Protective single dad ✔️ Spicy with heart ✔️ A heroine chasing her dreams 🍄💪
A quick and spicy read that I finished in one sitting and omg—panties are DROPPING for “Mr. Park Ranger.. sir..” 🥵 Calla is a new-to-town 19 y/o working at a cafe in the park. Sawyer is a park ranger that grows an obsession for her—it’s INSTAlove for a reasonnn! ⚡️ Sawyer is YUMMMYYYYY! The age gap was 🧑🍳🤌🏼💋 Compared to Ranger’s Obsession, I enjoyed the more back-story and personal side we saw of Sawyer here. Calla softening his ex-wife’s heart and meeting Liam 😭 it was so sweet. Usually with novellas, I am never fully satisfied because I feel like SOMETHING could be added to the plot, whether that be tension, build up, back story, side characters, etc. Given that this book is only 91 pages, I feel like every mark was adequately met! It hooked and held my attention, Trevor was a great (but shitty, IYKYK) side character, his custody battle was an excellent addition, they resist each other just enough before giving in. This was a great read and would make an excellent addition to your TBR! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.25 stars from me! The perfect read to get you out of a slump! My ARC review is coming in late, but regardless, thank you Bridget Adrienne for my Advanced Copy in exchange for an honest review!!
Tropes: Forced proximity | Age gap | Protective MMC | Virgin FMC | Instant love
For starters, if you’re looking for some QUICK burns with extra spice, you’re in the right spot here.
Calla and Sawyer— such a quick and sparking love between them.
Sawyer was married, now divorced. Has a son, Liam. His ex wife cheated on him and she now hates him and wants to ruin his life and relationship with his son in this ongoing custody battle.
Calla just started working at the local coffee shop three weeks ago and quickly had eyes for Sawyer. He’s much older than her and she’s a virgin still. No experience on the intimate side of things. Struggling to pay her bills and make ends meet with her part time job. Her professor offers her a part time assistant job with amazing pay and we soon learn that her professor is actually Sawyer’s ex wife. 😅
There’s so much heat in this book, so much tension in such a quick read. If you want quick spice and a fast read, try this book out! I enjoyed another book by Bridgett already and look forward to more!

Calle & Sawyer 💖 Age Gap 🌲 Possessive Ranger 💖 College Research Assistant 🌲 Single Dad 💖 Insta-Love 🌲 Protective MMC
Bridget has an amazing way of kick-starting a story with incredible characters and a fast-paced storyline that keeps me turning the pages. Her novellas are insta-quick and her style is insta-love. 🌲 A portion of proceeds is donated to national parks 🌲
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Insta-Love and Insta-Heat. Ranger Sawyer is exactly the guy to get stuff done. Fiercely protective of his forest, he is even more possessive of a fresh new college research assistant. His protective instincts are on full display when Calle is threatened. Sawyer won't let anyone stand in his way when it comes to claiming Calle, not even himself.
💖 And that's what scares me most. Not that he's so much older, or that he intimidates me. But that if I let myself need him, even a little, I might never want to stop.
Firstly, thank you Bridget Adrienne for the eARC! I love being apart of your team!!
Secondly, the review! I love Bridget’s style, I always enjoy reading her writing. They are heavy spice, heavy passion while still keeping it a light, easy read. Plus, I always have a chuckle while reading!
I didn’t love this one as much as the first. I just personally don’t like reading about “first times” and it being so intense like that. I prefer when the FMC is a bit older, but maybe because I’m old and it just doesn’t feel right 🙈
This book is full of spice, a morally grey MMC, obsession and possessiveness. If you want a quick read (can take you one two hours!!) with a HEA then this book is for you!
“Ranger’s Claim” by Bridget Adrienne may be short, but it definitely packs a seriously spicy punch! From the moment Sawyer lays eyes on Calla, the tension is electric, raw, and downright addictive. Sawyer’s possessiveness is primal, protective, and so fuggin' hot. You feel his need to claim her and Calla just melts into that heat with every touch. Their chemistry is wild, unfiltered, and oh-sooooo-satisfying. This novella wastes no time delivering all the steam, sensuality, and emotional pull you want in a fast, fierce read. I devoured it in one sitting and wanted more. If you're looking for insta-love and insta-fire, this is a total guilty pleasure reading for you!

A broody, single dad ranger, a grieving college freshman, and a primal obsession that turns possessive fast.
If you love dirty talk, fast-burn heat, and verrrry protective alpha energy, this will hit the spot.
Park Ranger Single Dad Instant Love Fast-Burn Dirty Talk FM HEA
Calla is a grieving college freshman in a new state looking to follow her and her late mother’s dreams. Despite her rough past, Calla is a strong woman determined to make everything work.
Sawyer is a divorced, single dad, and the head park ranger. Everything in that forest is *his*, including the coffee stand Calla works at.
This is a short read with an even shorter fast-burn between the couple. No cheating and HEA.
I love a short read, especially to re-set before a bigger book, but there are so many moving parts in this book, I wish it was longer. With that, there were a lot of things not addressed. There were also a handful of errors in names and grammar.
I love these short and spicy novellas! I read Ranger's Obsession and loved it, so when the opportunity presented itself to read the next in the series I jumped at it...and I'm not disappointed! Ranger's claim was just as spicy and fast as RO! I absolutely loved it, and would recommend...
If you love instalove romance, read this book! If you're looking for a spicy palette cleanser, read this book! If you're looking for 'touch her and XXX', read this book! If you love bratty FMCs, read this book! If you love a little drama that gets resolved quickly, read this book! If you love he-falls-first-and-harder, read this book!
Do yourself a favor and read this book if anything I've said sounds like your cup-o-tea! I read this book in a couple hours!
Wow Bridget Adrienne has done it again. The perfect next installment in the growing Rangers series. Checks all the boxes. Ultra fast burn, maybe literally with a hint of actual fire thrown into the mix, check. Hot, steamy, possessive alpha park ranger, also check. 🔥🔥🔥
Also props to the women in STEM representation. I love a FMC with a unique passion and career path.
The link to the extra bonus scene was the icing on the cake. I finished the book way too quick and needed a tiny bit more Sawyer and Calla. Park ranger romance is becoming of my new favorites. 🌲
I cannot wait for the next installment in this series ❤️
This is one of the hottest, most animalistic and the most intense romantic short stories that I have ever read, without it being about supernatural creatures claiming their mates. The chemistry between Sawyer and Calla is off the charts hot and steamy as well as purely kismet. It's well written, with interesting characters. It's a page turner that you won't want to put down. Probably best not to read this one in public. A recommended read for fans of Age-Gap Romance, Single Dad Romance, College Romance, Small Town Romance and BDSM and Dominant Kink Fantasy stories. Don't forget to check out the bonus scene download link at the end of the book.
Just finished! It’s a super quick and steamy read! Calla, a young college student looking for a fresh start in Washington, meets Sawyer, an older, grumpy, and possessive park ranger AND a single dad used to being left alone. The age gap amps up their instant, intense connection! Plus, Calla even helps Sawyer navigate a better co-parenting relationship with his ex-wife. If you're into age gap, single dad romances with alpha heroes and a touch of family dynamics, this one delivers a fast-burn, rugged HEA. Perfect for a quick escape, just be aware of the trigger warnings!
If you’re looking for a spicy short read with a little bit of drama, then this is for you! I finished it in less than 2 hours and loved every bit! Sawyer is a possessive, primal park ranger and Calla is a bold, determined college freshman.
Oh. Did I mention her professor and boss is also his bitter ex-wife/baby mama?
This is definitely an over-the-top story. I am glad I read the trigger warnings, it permitted me to really enjoy this book for what it was written to be, a primal love story. Sawyer may seem a little rough and controlling, but there is no doubt he loves Calla and wants to protect her. Calla may only be 19, but she is very mature, independent, and fierce. She knows what she wants and goes for it. This is a standalone with no cliffhanger, and a lovely ending. I found this to be a very entertaining read.
Short & spicy. Perfect for a lazy afternoon. Sawyer is a 40+ year old forest ranger who is instantly drawn to the new barista at the trail head coffee shop, Calla. A college freshman. The electricity between them sizzles and it’s not long before Sawyer stakes his claim. I’m rating this 4⭐️ mainly for its great spice while sticking to a plot - considering it’s a short novella, that’s not always easy. But this author always delivers! 🌲
This novella is such an addictive read. I was hooked right from the start. Its a fast burn, spicy good time. Ranger Sawyer is HOTTTTT, possessive, ALL alpha. And he's a dad. Like say less. Calla is so sweet, smart- we love a STEM woman right? Their chemistry is off the charts fire. I absolutely loved them and can't wait for more of this series.
Already love our independent girl Calla. DADDY SAWYER COMING IN HOT FOR THE RESCUE. okay, definitely wasn’t prepared for all those connections! How’s it gonna work?!?! OMG IT WORKED. I also love how Liam came into it and really truly helped Calla out. I cant wait to read more of her stories!! Bridget is TOO good at creating these foul mouthed hotties

This little Novella was far better than I imagined!!! Such a good story for a short spicy read!!! Her professor is part of his history…. She’s a first year college virg!n… He’s a possessive and protective dad… plenty of “mine” and “good girl”!!!! The only thing I missed is her initial reaction to seeing ALL of him!!
This novella and this author has so much potential to actually become novels.
From where Sarah having the instant change of heart, could have dragged it out longer and create drama.
My only complaint is that in the beginning of the book where Calla and Sawyer meet, Calla states his name but she has no idea who he is. Might be an editing overlook but that bothered me.

I genuinely feel like what keeps these from being a 4⭐️ read is that I WANT MORE, please give me more back story, please give me more getting to know you, please give me more drama and spice!
This novella is a quick, fast pace, insta love story that has a big age gap and spicy dirty talk.
Calla and Sawyer collide in the perfect way. I really just wish there was more.
3.25 stars While the first book in the series was entertaining and brimming with instant sexual tension that left me wanting more, this one just didn’t quite measure up.
***Mild spoiler.*** I have no problem with super-fast insta-love—I enjoy a quickie romance every once in a while—so that wasn’t the issue. What didn’t work for me was how the conflict was magically resolved in a single conversation. It made what could’ve been a great short story feel rushed, and the resolution felt unearned. Even a sentence or two acknowledging that things weren’t so easily fixed could’ve made the story more satisfying.
That said, based on the two books I’ve read from this author, I’m definitely a fan of her writing style, and I’m looking forward to book three! Sincere thanks to the author and BookFunnel for this eARC.
Super thankful to be part of the ARC reviewers! This was such a good spicy book. It took me about an hour to read, so a really great quick read! The connection between the characters was really good. Definitely a book I would’ve enjoyed really if it were longer to get more into the characters and their story.
Although this novelette has the freaking virgin trope that I despise, it wasn't played on too much or in a weird way. Like obsessed with her virginity type of vibe. Also I love the name Calla Lily but Calla Lily Quinn? Say that 5 times fast! 🤣 Daddy Sawyer can drag me off to his cabin in the forest any day 🫠
This is a slight difference from the mountain men book but on the same line. The characters are well written the story is short But there are several lessons in there. I learned about mushrooms that I knew nothing about other than I like to eat them. Forgiveness is another thing that's in this story And loneliness. You have a HEA
good lord that was hot! quick and dirty. so unbelievable that a virgin could take it that rough right away but, we suspend our disbelief because it's a story. and the bonus scene? 0.0 if only insta-love was real! Ranger's Inferno is up next!
