Welcome to Vyrewood University, where the children of criminals are groomed to become the world’s most elite hackers, trackers, and hitmen. Power is currency. Secrets are weapons. And love? That’s the most dangerous game of all.
Arlow Skyes was born into a fate she never chose. A prodigy raised by a legendary hit woman and a hacker king, she was supposed to escape the Obsidian Society—not rise in its ranks when their demands are loyalty or death. But when she’s fast-tracked into her sophomore year and assigned to share a dorm with Xanthe Astorga, Vyrewood’s golden boy and infamous playboy, the last thing she expects is a war of wills… or the slow-burn spark that catches when hatred meets heat.
Xanthe is untouchable, cocky, brilliant, and effortlessly adored. Girls fall at his feet. Everyone wants to be him. But Arlow? She’d rather set him on fire than give him the time of day, and that only makes her more intriguing. As their rivalry escalates from sharp words and sabotage to something far more dangerous, buried family grudges resurface, secrets begin to unravel, and fate begins to pull the strings.
She’s the brooding shadow to his reckless light. Hades to his Persephone. The genius with a pet python and a plan to tear it all down. He’s the hacker hiding scars behind his smirk and secrets behind his screen. In a school where masks are mandatory and love can be lethal, the line between enemy and something else entirely begins to blur.
Midnight Skies is a love letter to the Greek gods, a myth-soaked, enemies-to-lovers dark academia romance where attraction is a battlefield, secrets cut deep, and falling for each other might be the one thing that brings them both down.
Because at Vyrewood, nothing is ever just a game. And some hearts were made to burn.
If you’ve read any of Evies other stories then you will see so much of her writing growth in Midnight Skies. The story was so good the character development was great! Looking forward to book 2
