Endings close a chapter. Beginnings start a new one—unwritten, unexpected, and found only by those brave enough to turn the page.
After a career-ending scandal shatters her life in New York City, Tessa Bellwood retreats to the one place she swore she’d never a crumbling bed-and-breakfast left behind by the mother she barely knew. The quiet town of Rivermill was supposed to offer a fresh start. Instead, Tess finds herself battling a ruthless developer, confronting the town’s corruption, and uncovering family secrets that unravel everything she thought she knew about her mother—and herself. Complicating it all is an unexpected connection with a man who challenges her trust—and the growing realization that not every battle is about saving a piece of property. Some battles are about saving yourself. A story of resilience, redemption, and the surprising courage it takes to rebuild from the ruins, The Inheritance is perfect for readers who believe that second chances aren't given—they're claimed.

Following Tess as she went about finding her true self and finding her home was a Rollercoaster ride. Tess was a truly resilient young woman. I was exhausted on her behalf , it was one thing after another. But, she kept going. Digging deep and realizing she needed to make peace with her past before she could truly move forward.
Loved every sentence in this book. The angst that the daughter carried. The eccentric mother’s legacy. The twists and the happily ever after, were beautifully woven.
