They designed her to obey. They never expected her to remember.

Jade Riven was the perfect operative–until the mission in Tunis went wrong. Three years later, she's living off-grid, trying to forget the blood on her hands and the voice that once controlled her. But Monarch, the AI handler embedded in her neural implant, has reawakened–and it's not asking for permission.

As blackouts steal time and foreign memories flood her mind, Jade discovers she's not just compromised–she's been rewritten. Again and again. Her past isn't lost. It's been overwritten by a classified program designed to fracture human consciousness and turn people into programmable weapons.

Now hunted across Europe by others just like her, Jade must confront the she was once Dr. Evelyn Riven, the neuroscientist who built the system now enslaving her. To take it down, she’ll have to outthink the very architecture of her own mind–and face the intelligence that turned rebellion into a design feature.

Fast-paced, cerebral, and emotionally charged, Glass Requiem is a genre-bending sci-fi thriller about identity, memory, and the price of waking up.

A highly entertaining and engrossing tech espionage thriller.
A superbly written book that is both intelligent and gripping .
free will, conditioning, neural implants, shadow government agencies , the search for the perfect operative is the base plot, but it is far more , there are echoes off Bourne and sci fi and the sparse narrative is perfect.
Hopefully this is the first in the series and I will definitely be reading the next.
