Sad to see it end, even happier I got to read it.
After book two I didn’t think there was any more big information we could learn about the ancients, boy was I wrong. Stacy Stover did a wonderful job of sprinkling in new information, building tension, and giving us the big revelation at just the right timing. All the new information had the goals for our characters changing slightly throughout so that there wasn’t a feeling of waiting three books for them to solve one problem.
The sass and confidence of Sylvia really shined in this book. So many of her internal quips had me giggling or say you tell em. I enjoyed where her and Altyr’s relationship and bond went. While they may spend most of the book apart or having their relationship tested I felt they both came out understanding eachother better and left me feeling it would be more than just the bond keeping them together in the end. Plus let’s not forget about some good spice sprinkled in.
I am still reeling from the ending. I’m trying to pretend not all of it is true/find any evidence in the book to un-break my heart just a little. (And if you have it please give it to me).
