Enjoy all of Maya’s wisdom in one handy volume. This ebook includes fun sketches, hilarious quotes, and a few special sneak peeks at Maya and Alex today.
I'm not going to bother rating this because I had no business reading it when I've only read a few books in this series. This novella/compilation of quotes, etc, is not enjoyable to anyone but fans who are very familiar with the characters.
Maybe I will revisit this when I've read more of the series.
The author warns that this book should be free, but I see it here on Amazon for 99 cent. Not sure if the price actually changed or if Amazon is just scooping up 99 cents per copy. Anyway it's freaking hilarious. All these little tidbits are Maya-isms (or quotes from other characters) from the beginning of each chapter of every book leading up to this one. Omg that last chapter is Operation Quill Snatcher. Check out Freakin' Purrfect to see how that works out. I love Maya. I wanna take bada$$ lessons. Sigh. Inside I'm a dragon, but outside I'm a squishy human. 9/10 Unicorns 🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄
The first half is a collection of most, if not all, of Maya's quotes over the series to date. Funny as heck, especially when combined with an update on her brood. She's still got a mouth on her, Alex still is exasperated and the twins are mommy's little devils. Great lunchtime read.
Well it’s safe to say that this is a book for fans of the Ridgeville series. You have lots of funny Mayaisms at the beginning to keep you laughing along the way. Amusing to say the least to get inside our queens head. I haven't read the whole series, only a few books, so couldn't tell you if they were new or a grouped selection from other books but they were fun to read through all the same.
A couple of Maya quotes that I found amusing from the long list this gives you:
"Live by the three "F" rule: If they don't fuck you, feed you or finance you, they don't matter."
"You should always have a freezer full of ice cream. You never know who's gonna stop by."
There is a small short story at the end of the funny quotes that was good. Interesting getting a snap shot into what life is like now for the shifters and what trouble Maya can get herself into this time, with a little extra help from her boys and best friend in tow. Her mate Alex can't stay mad at her for too long though. One growl is all it takes for his mind to wonder to other thoughts. So all’s happy in Maya’s world then.
If you like the series then you will get a kick out of reading this. With it only being short it’s the perfect in between book when thinking about what to pick up next.
Finally! Maya’s words of wisdom are all collected in one place! If you are an avid follower of The Ridgeville Series by Celia Kyle, you will recognize Maya, the loud, obnoxious, overbearing and totally, completely loveable Prima of the Ridgeville Pride. That woman has an AWESOME mouth on her – and she isn’t a bit scared to use it!
After ten stories, the series is done (boo hoo!!! Wahhh!!!) but this final is a compilation of the various words of wisdom from the Queen of Sass which is sure to make you laugh till you pee your undies…. Grab your copy and enjoy!
Oh, and one thing . . . we all know that Maya is, well, fluffy and the Queen of Booblandia – so why is the woman on the cover skinny as a rail? Humm? Pft.
Oh, and, Wisdom From The King?
Maya is always, and forever will be, right. — Alex O’Connell, lover of Maya, father to her cubs, and the luckiest male ever born. At least, that’s what Maya always tells him.
Maya was in part one a nice woman. I had no difficulties with her but once she became queen, she has an injection with a lot of bitch. Dzjiezes.... a whole book with her crap. I really like Celia Kyle books but I don't know what she did with Maya. Some people have to grow in a role (like being a queen) but the minute Maya became queen she was instantly the worst queen ever. Queen Elizabeth can learn a lot of bossy-ness from her.
This book is hilarious. It's really only relevant to people that have read the Ridgeville series, but even those who haven't read the others will probably get at least a few chuckles out of this book of Maya-isms. Anything from Celia Kyle is great, but the Ridgeville series is extra funny!! I'd recommend it to any PNR/UF fan!!
Your books never fail to make me chuckle. You have such a really weird sense of humor. But seriously, I just love reading everything you write. Mayaisms are the best and this collection is great.
Maya is a plain spoken lioness who shares her wisdom with women she finds worthy. This book will have you rolling on the floor. Underneath everyone of her sayings is a pure nugget of truth.
As usual, Celia Kyle entertains. I loved this whole series of books, but I must say that Alex and Maya are my favorite characters. Maya is totally bad ass and Alex loves her enough to put up with her.
I do not think I have laughed so much in ages. This is just all of Maya’s outrageous, funny and crazy expressions and statements that have been made, stated and thrown out at random throughout this series. Pearls of wisdom indeed.
A peek into the lives Maya her Alpha her family and friends. It also gives a little information on the future of Maya. Love the whole series and wish for more!
The words of wisdom that Maya shares will keep you laughing. It's also gives you a little more insight into the wonderfully awesome mind of the Ridgeville Prima!
