This was such a sweet romance with a fake dating setup and a stunning Rome backdrop, the vibes were dreamy 🇮🇹💫

Aurora is a former ballerina who’s been through so much, still holding on to the pain of losing her dream after tragic accident and constantly comparing herself to the people around her who have found love.

Then there’s Elliott, her childhood classmate turned neighbor, who accidentally pulled her into a prank back in high school and ruined her big shot. She hates him. But when she needs a fake boyfriend for her sister Violet's wedding in Rome, he agrees… only if she stops playing piano at night 💀🤭

He was honestly the standout, supportive, patient, and carrying his own emotional weight after losing his father and raising his brother Johnny. I really loved getting to know his side of the story too.

One of the things I really loved was how Elliott gently encouraged Aurora to discover a new passion for singing. He helped her rediscover fun, teaching her soccer, taking her exploring around Rome, and encouraging her to step outside her comfort zone. It was so sweet seeing her find joy again, especially after missing out on so much in her teen years.

My only gripe was that some of the emotional beats felt repetitive, and the writing really needed tighter editing. I noticed quite a few grammar errors, which distracted me a bit.

Still, It’s charming, comforting read about second chances (not romantically, but in life) and learning to open your heart again.
