Sachin is a bird shifter from another dimension. He rescues Paige from a killer and brings her to a sort of safe house for troubled girls. Paige is young and he visits every so often, she is in love with him and gifts him her virginity when she is 21. I always find, the older man waiting for the girl to grow up so he can have sex with her theme disturbing so this I did not like. After intercourse he disappears for a year. Sachin didn't think much of humans but had no problem sleeping with as many as he could. He was also an elitist, he couldn't touch a woman below his station but had no problem having sex with her. When he returns to Paige, she is engaged then she procedes to cheat on her fiancé with Sachin. I didn't like the characters.

I liked Sachin and Paige's story very much. If you read the first book in the series then you know who Sachin is already. This story's events start before the previous book, but end after them. Sachin likes coming to the human realm, mostly for the company of the women. He is heading back to the portal one day in his half-hawk form and hears a scream that draws him to a disturbing scene. He ends up saving a girl from the man who murdered her mother. He takes her to a woman he knows of that takes in troubled teens. Over the years he visits Paige often and watches as she grows intimate into a beautiful young lady. Though he desires her, he knows a human would not be accepted in his realm.
On her twenty-first birthday, Paige decides that it is time to give herself to the man she can't get out of her head - Sachin. Though he tries to resist her, he can't. But he also can't let her find out his secret. When his wings come out, he panics and flees.
Will these two ever get their happy ever after?

Sachin was a manHo for soooo long. He said all the wrong things. He caused so much drama with his mate. He was a hot mess but I love Mason Lloyd so flipping much and Sachin was called a horses ass enough to calm down my anger 😡. I will never be comfortable with the word Quim byt that was my only complaint. Mandy can write a shapeshifter book like no other 😍!

I have no idea how this book got such good ratings. It is truly terrible - I basically hate-read it.
The bird men come from bird planet and have bird gods as they are all described. There are portals to Earth that the bird men can fly through. The only women you meet in bird society are either in a harem or work in the kitchen. The poor kitchen maids have a part time job of having to have sex with the various males around as well as working in the kitchen. The bird men despise them and call them whores. The harem workers have to not only service the king, but his brothers and men as well. They are also called whores. There are no other bird women mentioned. None. The only women with any power are the human women who mate the various members of the royal families.
A few of the books have the bird man hero masturbating in a hall or the kitchen and leaving the mess for the maids (who also have sex with them and are also despised) to clean up. There is also a lot of time spent describing the hero's sexual past and how extensive it is, which is not surprising considering they're hundreds of years old, but the way they describe women is unpleasant.
This book was truly terrible (less than one star), but on the plus side it was very short. The hero, Sachin, was a good guy in the previous book, but in his he sucks. Also: A human woman??!!? Giving up near constant sex with women who don't have a choice?!!!?? He has sex with his mate to be and traps her with the mating and doesn't tell her about it. He masturbates in the hall and leaves the mess to the maids. I don't know if that's what royalty do or did, but it sucks that the maids have to have sex with these guys and clean up after their other sexual activities too. This book features a magical necklace that is never used in any of the other stories to help things out. Anyway, the Sachin has sex with his virginal mate and flies away from her leaving her naked outside and doesn't return for a year. Not only that, but he totally forgets doing this and only remembers when he's forced to see her again.

Well, the storyline was good but there were questions left unanswered, at least for me. The female protagonist was questionable, it's difficult to explain while not writing spoilers, but she will make your head shake. Sachin, the best friend of Kabril and leader of his guard, has run in to a situation on one of his many visits to Earth realm. The story is basically a novella on the results of his actions.

So many things I did not like about this one (man whore who uses women to meet his “manly needs” while away from his love 🙄, woman who forgives too much immediately, cheating..) Really bummed because I liked the main character in the series starter, but he was an asshat in this one.
Can we just agree that the man whore thing has played out and was really never that attractive? Won’t be continuing with this series sadly (note to self- stop buying entire series before reading the first couple 🤦🏻♀️)

Why isn’t it longer!? 🥺
I was so excited to keep reading this series- I just finished reading Kabril and Rayna’s book yesterday and couldn’t wait to read Sachin’s book. But it’s so short😫 🥺.
Sachin goes to Earth very often. Yes, in the beginning, he admits to going to be with women but then one day he hears a scream. When he flies to investigate, he sees a teenager, Paige, (18) with blood all over her and a man attacking her. He interferes and kills the man. When he goes to the woman, she tells him the blood is her mother’s (whom the man just killed). She loses consciousness and he takes her to Sarah, a woman who he knows cares for troubled or disadvantaged kids.
Three years pass and he continues to visit Paige and Sarah. In fact, they both have crushes on each other. When she turns 21, she tells him she wants him as her present and they are intimate. The problem is that he somehow binds them by reciting his vows to her in the middle of their lovemaking, and once she replies with yes (to accepting him) his wings unfurl and she becomes his mate. But, because she doesn’t know what he is and he isn’t ready to reveal it to her, he abandons her once they finish.
A year passes and he’s miserable without her. She has moved on and has gotten engaged. However, he’s not about to let his mate marry another man, so he’s going to get her back.
I have to admit; I was here for the anger she felt towards him when he came back. I wish she would’ve resisted him more (I love the push/pull between characters) but I understood that it was inevitable that they’d be together. The scenes between these two were scorching 🥵 🔥 😋 💦. My goodness...
SPOILER*** I read reviews that stated Sachin was with more of women during the year they were separated- he wasn’t. She, however, does cheat on her fiancée as soon as they are given the chance, so that might be a trigger- but we don’t really see that other relationship in the book, so I didn’t feel attached to it- maybe if we had seen the development I would’ve felt the betrayal?

I hate the the ending feels rush. Ugh. I’m finding that I want these books to be longer. Overall, good book. I just wish it was longer.

To start with I liked the characters for the most part; I thought Paige was an engaging character. I really liked Sachin in the first book, he added a layer of sarcasm and humor that I liked. This book he was okay but his arrogance got annoying at times. I also really liked the idea behind the story. Sachin and Paige meet and things get steamy but then he disappears for awhile. I thought that was interesting; I was looking forward to him seeking her forgiveness. What I didn't like and was the reason for the lower rating is how fast everything seemed to happen. There were also two instances that just left me either confused or annoyed. Like I said I liked the premise of the story and it could have been really interesting if it just went a different direction.

Hot & Fun Read!
Once again Mandy Roth has me smiling from ear to ear with her talented and creative writing. This second installment in the Talon’s series is so cute as we find out why Sachin holds so many secrets that even his King doesn’t know about. The story kept me glued to the pages and I could clearly visualize every scene as it produced such excitement from the drama foretold.
The characters Sachin and Paige were perfect for each other and had me smiling and laughing at their playfulness. The erotic scenes were absolutely thrilling getting me all excited with arousal as I read the in public (Side of building in Town) sex scene between Sachin and Paige – so freakn’ HOT.
Sachin and Paige’s HEA was perfect and had me laughing in the end as this strong tough guy (Sachin) faints when Paige goes into Labor and then faints again when just mentioning his daughters growing up to date. LOL This was truly a cute story.
You know this is an awesome read when I am craving for more in the end. This is one series I highly recommend for your hungry minds sexual quick fix and your need for exciting drama. AWESOME READ!

A trained assassin, Sachin gave up his mate and left her in ignorant bliss of what he is besides she wasn’t supposed to be human and she sure wasn’t supposed to agree to marry another man in this riveting erotic paranormal romance. The story is enjoyable and entertaining even though it is over entirely too quickly although that might be a good thing since I couldn’t put it down until I had read every last word.

Hmmm. This one lacked the humor that was present in the first novella, and I'm not a fan of the whole leaving your mate only to reclaim her years later theme.
Sachin was an ass, despite being Paige's childhood savior.

This is the first Mandy Roth book I've read, and although I enjoyed the theme, there were aspects of the characters' behaviour that I found head scratching.
I understood the heroine falling for charming, mysterious Sachin, but him leaving almost mid ****and then their reunion didn't work for me. Her behaviour towards her fiance, a good man, was unforgivable.
Sachin was also a bit of a misogynist, happy to use women for sex and then leaving without looking back, including the virgin heroine. Sure he got the guilts about a year afterwards, but his behaviour wasn't very 'heroic'. The author was probably going for 'the love of a good woman changed his attitude' theme, but it took a year apart for it to sink in and even a few hours before going back to her he was encouraging a friend to use another woman and physically getting off on it. So 'be nice to particular women, but the rest are dirt' type attitude.
There was also some repetition of the night the couple met (as a reminder) was unnecessary, especially as the actual action had only happened some 20 pages before. in a 60 page novella, this was unnecessary.

Sachin is a bird shifter from the other realm. When he hears someone screaming, he goes to where he hears it and finds Paige cowering in a hiding place and a crazy man looking for her. He takes care of the man and takes Paige somewhere safe. He leaves Paige with a woman that knows her, and he visits whenever he is near. Paige has developed feelings for Sachin over the years and when she turns twenty-one, she decides its time to make her move. He tries to fight his feelings but ends up giving in. However, he disappears soon after because he doesn't feel like he deserves her. When he does show back up Paige is trying to move on with a local man. Will Sachin convince her to give him another chance?
This is a great story that will hook you in from the first chapter on. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Sachin and Paige met when he rescued her from the man that killed her mother. He had kept in contact with her and Sarah, the woman that he had brought her to, and fallen deeply for his mate. Then a situation that scared him happened and things went wrong for a time. The characters are terrific, with great backstories and intense feelings. The storyline had several plots, with the war happening back home, the relationship with Paige and Sachin, and the local tales of bird men. Loved their chemistry, but he had little faith that Paige would be able to handle what he was when they became mated. The magic on the sheriff was interesting, and no talking needed. Great ending... it is always the big macho guys that faint quickly.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout in exchange for an honest review.

I wasn't a huge fan of Sachin in this book. I get the whole humans are vermin mentality ... and that he met her way before Kabrill hooked up with Rayna, but he's basically a man-whore who he-mans his way back into Paige's life.

Sachin a bird shifter and the kings long time friend and right hand man, finds himself drawn to a human he met years earlier. Laws prevent them from mating with a human. Although not long ago the Kings found his true mate among humans, Sachin still tries to stay away. I wish the author Mandy M. Roth would have extended the battle between the Sheriff and Sachin’s battle for Paige's attention. That would have really spiced up the story instead of finding a magical way to end it. Otherwise it was a good read.

Like book one and book 3 I read in one setting. I laughed so hard I cried. Our MC in this one is the captain of the guard/kings advisor. The book actually starts three years before book one. And answer some questions from book one. About him going to earth all the time.
Like book one and book 3… You have the big strong Hawkman wrapped around a petite human woman's finger from the minute he first sees her… In this case she's only a teenager. He can't deny his attraction and friendship until she turns 21… And from there the story gets real interesting. Definitely plan on reading this at a nonstop.

The author kept hinting Paige needed to keep Sachin away from the house until she talked to him first. This hinting naturally leaves the reader thinking Paige had given birth, but this wasn't true, so what's with the hints? And for Paige to have succumbed to passion again that quickly after being emotionally hurt to such a level, went against the strength of her character that she displayed at other times. So a couple weak points, but again, I'll keep reading this series.

Second book in a series
This is easy to read as a stand alone but is the second book in the series if you like reading them in order . Not too long and full of twists Heat rating is on the hot side , just right for a winter evening . Even fierce warriers can be defeated by a natural event so keep reading right to the end for the biggest laugh in the book

This is Paige and Sachin story. Sachin saved Paige's life from her mother's murderous boyfriend. He brought her to a woman named Sarah who took care of her. Sachin tried his best to stay away from Paige but being fated mates had him returning.

This is the second book in the King of Prey series and things are really starting to get exciting. This is turning into an excellent series so far and really am looking forward to reading more in the series. Sachin, is a trained assassin and head advisor to the king but he is at risk of loosing his true mate to someone else. Loved it.

This is the first book I read in this series, but I love stories with bird shifters or bird-like or winged species, so I had to pick it up. On a trip to Earth, Sachin rescues a teenage girl from her mom's boyfriend who just killed her mother and would have killed her had Sachin not rescued her. I didn't like these characters, nor some actions both Sachin and Paige took. The story is on the short side, but that was fine because this couple was not a good fit for me. 2 stars.
