M.C. Cerny is a USA Today Bestselling author of fresh sexy books. She experienced her first real ugly cry reading, Where The Red Fern Grows, and never looked back. She lives with a menagerie of human and feline fur-babies in rural NJ. When M.C. is not writing, you’ll find her lurking in Starbucks, running stupid marathons, and eating all the tacos while plotting her next book.
Abigail Holliday is a lawyer and is looking forward to escape from her dad’s law firm and looking forward to taking a few weeks vacation with her boyfriend Lucas, but he is backing down at the last minute. Abby decides to follow through with her plans and goes to Gold Beach, which is where her late mother lived. She rents a cottage from Maddie, a very kind lady who immediately makes her feel at home. She just received a message from Lucas telling her that it’s best to take a break and see how things are when she returns. After 3 years she begins to consider whether she wants to continue the relationship, and at that moment she meets Roman. She and Roman do not start off on the right foot, they constantly argue. But one day, after too many drinks, they kiss and that’s when Lucas decides to appear. Abby feels somewhat guilty but thanks to a call from her sister Leah the feeling passes and it is that it turns out that Lucas has been fucking her sister. Abby decides to spend the whole summer in Gold Beach trying to figure out what is the next step in her life. Back to LA and the firm? And what about her relationship with her sister? Her father calls her every day to come back to work but she ignores him. She decides to spend more time with Roman. Roman takes to his Seattle, which is where he normally lives and works and they fall in love but no one says it. It is not until Abby has to return that she declares her love for Roman. Weeks passes until they meet again, but when Roman finds out that Abby kept info about his mother murder, he leaves her. But Leah help to bring those 2 lovebirds together.
“I’m worried this one summer of reckless abandonment of my old life will have consequences to my heart I’m not ready for... I like her a lot. I think I want to love her, but we need more time.
“Why can’t I ever stay mad at you?” she whispers. “Because I’m the only one who lets you be who you are.”I know without a doubt Roman is my safe place in the storm.
Abby: I love you…if I had given her a chance to speak… if she had only fessed up to it… I would have never let her go. “Yeah, I love you too, Hollywood, except I’m going to say it to you in person, you little chicken-shit, and then I’m really going to spank you,”
“I’m scared she won’t be the same girl I met here and fell in love with. I’m scared she won’t love me back. I’m scared I don’t know what love really is…”
I’m not with Abby anymore, but when she clings to me from her bed, begging me to stay with her, just to hold her, I can’t pull myself away. We lay reverently in silence until the sun rises in the sky again.
Loved this book. Abby is a mess in the beginning. Roman is a bit of a pain int he ass. However, as they get to know each other, they start opening up and I fell for both of them. It's a story of finding what you need in the face of great trials. Definitely a good story.
This story had it all for me. Loved the writing, the story and the characters.
It starts with Abigail’s plans for the summer being scuppered by her no good boyfriend but leads her to a much better option. After a period of adjustment and irritability Abigail finally pulls herself together and succumbs to the feelings she has for Roman, the confident sailor. Can’t wait to read the next instalment of their love story.

I want to say a Big Thank you to MC for giving me an opportunity of reading this book for an honest review!
It was just supposed to be one summer for Abigail Holliday.
One summer to escape from under the thumb of her controlling father. One summer to escape from the fast pace LA life in a law firm. Just one summer of peace with her boyfriend Lucas to see where they were going...
Instead, she’s left with more questions and disappointments as reality sets in. Heading north to Gold Beach, Abby finds Roman Winters with not only her suitcase, but baggage of his own. Now Abby has feelings she doesn’t know what to do with.
Roman Winters is a man used to relying on himself. A tragic past leaves him trusting no one, laying down no roots--until a blonde bombshell with a snarky attitude wakes up parts of him he thought long dead.
He’s drawn to her: teasing, smiling, and tormenting reactions out of the pretty little ice princess. Just when he thinks he found something that lasts, Abby comes face to face with a decision that could rip her from his arms for good.
It was just supposed to be one summer, but that summer leaves both of them wanting more… Wow! What an amazing love story. The characters were awesome and amazing. The chemistry that Abby and Roman has is great. This was an emotional read and I wouldn’t change anything about it. Abby and her family has been through a lot and I am so glad that Roman was there for her. I got a little ticked off with Lucas don’t get me started on him. If anyone deserves an HEA it is Abby. How can you not love the characters in this book expect Lucas. Would love to read more about Abby and Roman. Its one summer that Abby nor Roman will ever forget Thank you MC! For writing an amazing story. You did an awesome job with this one.
I received an ARC of 'Summer Ever After' from M.C. Cerny, in exchange for an honest review.
Oh my, 'Summer Ever After' was my first book I'd read from M.C. I started reading, feeling intrigued with what I was about to read. I will say Abby was a bit of a mess at the start, it was meant to be her Summer away with her secret boyfriend, a chance to have some down time together, but he'd stayed back. So Abby drives 14 hours across the country to the place where her mother grew up. Roman, WOW what can you say about Roman, the man always comes home to help out around the island during the Summer season, nearly everywhere on the island he's there helping. At the start Abby & Roman somehow have this hate love type of relatioship, which was fun to read, but also tiring at the same time & then the dynamics change. Things start to spiral & then the dreaded phone call....
'Summer Ever After' made me laugh, cringe, hope, then ball by eyes out.... but I loved every moment of it.
I actually loved this book. just got it on the" move" because I needed something to read on a bus and and am glad I did. Its a lovely story of surviving many lost and finding a way to move on.
A story about love, heartbreak, loss, family, friends, and life. They met by circumstance, her running away and him making amends. They clash like oil and water. She hates men and he hates spoiled little rich girls. But when they come together everything ignites. Her family won't let her be her, he sets her free. He can't move on from his past, she makes him smile. But can her family and job end what they have? I enjoyed the story. The end kind of confused me, I don't get why that one was extra special. Maybe i just tried to read too much into it. It was a great day read. Voluntary review of an advanced reader's copy via booksprout

Abigail Holliday made a plan to escape work and her demanding father/boss, to the town of Gold Beach, her mother's home town. At a beachside bed & breakfast, with meddler for an owner, she meets Roman Winters, local and custom boat builder. Told in alternating points of view, readers will rally for their relationship and be entertained with their banter. I laughed, I cried, I rallied.
Roman and Abigail's story was a story I found myself smiling and crying with a well-written book. I would recommend this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I also bought the book.

There was en excerpt from this novel at the end of my copy of Elastic Heart. It didn't say what it was about, so I just read the excerpt to find out. Of course, like always when I read excerpts, I got hooked so I ended up getting ahold of the whole thing. It was surprisingly good actually! I read that there will be a sequel (yay!), sadly it will come out 2017, so I will just have to wait...
This book had spelling and grammar errors. It's very difficult to focus on the writing when that continues to occur. The story began well however once Roman was introduced a complete life summation rolled out into 2 paragraphs....very poor development. The writer needs to work on flow and development.
It's a love story that surpasses a summer. It's about a family torn apart. It's about a love you can't deny when it strangles your heart and won't let go. Its beautiful at the same time out rips your heart out just in time to out it back together.
I fell in love with Abby and Roman in the novella I am so happy that MC Cerny made it longer and answered some of our questions about the novella. I love Summer Ever After
