Growing up in the countryside of Wisconsin, I always wanted to be a writer. I've dabbled in poetry, short stories, and more daydreaming than most. Way back when, I remember long Sunday afternoon drives with my parents where they'd
tell us eight kids to, 'Look out the window and see something!'

I've been looking out the window ever since . . .

In the great Northwest pines, I saw a woman who had nowhere to run find refuge in the arms of a tender warrior seeking his own road to healing.
In the hills of Wyoming, I saw a broken man who thought he'd lost everything
rediscover the man he was in the eyes of a pretty girl.
And in the Dairy State, (yes Wisconsin), I saw two people fall in love
and overcome horrific obstacles on their way to happily-ever-after.

Life is short. Pick up a good book. Read. Write. Enjoy.
Look out the window and see something!

Oh Harley, how I have waited for you!!! I am a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE fan of Ms. Winters. She completely sold me in Alex and each and every book in this series is simply amazing. I have loved Harley from the beginning and have been very anxiously awaiting his book. Ms. Winters you did not disappoint. Poor Harley has suffered so much with PTSD and you really get an insight to what he is going through and not just that, but you really feel not just what he feels, but what his loved ones go through and feel as well. I truly felt that I was right there in the thick of things, going on every twist and turn, up and down with every single character. Ms. Winters has a way of writing that is unlike anyone I have ever read before. This whole series is amazing! I truly can't say enough about them. While they are a series and you see previous characters in each book, each book is so different from the previous. All the characters, main and secondary, are so real you will feel that you are right there with them. There is heartbreak, suspense, and love in each book without any book feeling like you have read it before. It's new and different in each book. Each character has their own story and each book will leave you just waiting for the next. It will grab you on page one and keep you biting your nails until the very end. I for one have this author on my MUST READ list!! I highly recommend this book as well as all the rest! This is a 5+++ AMAZEBALLS stars for me!! Can't wait to read Connor's book next!!

Not a fan of this Harley

This book was not about Harley. It was about everyone else. Harley played a supporting role. Most of the time I couldn't figure out what was going on or who was in the current scene. This book was written like a script not a book. Hate I paid for this one.

This is the 4th book in the series.

The heroine knew loving our hero wasn’t going to be easy. They took little steps and she’s had to push for the bigger ones. This time she’s going to go for what she really wants. However, when the hero disappears and takes some of his work equipment with him, along with one of the alphabet agencies coming in and arresting her, she starts to have her doubts because she doesn’t understand what’s going on. When the same alphabet agencies start to push her telling her the hero left her for her boss’s wife, she knows it’s not true. When the hero’s employer shows up to help her, they team up to find their other half’s.

We’ve met our hero in the first book and learned a tiny bit more about him in the next few but now he gets his own book. However, when his injuries and memories of when he served come to the forefront, he’s struggling. He can’t remember anything! When he’s jolted back to the current day, things are really confusing for him especially when he can’t remember the heroine!

The plot was a good one but confusing on how it started out and in some areas. I feel for the boss when he gets attacked like he did. Also, the other person who helps the person take the boss’s wife was likable once you got to understand him. You always knew the boss’s one person who could come after her would, but it was interesting it happened at the same time as our hero’s breakdown happened.

I hope they keep on getting interesting like this one and the series keeps me curious to see what the next book brings.

In the Company of Snipers is turning into one of my favorite romantic suspense series. Irish Winters knows how to write a fantastic story, having us invest our hearts and minds into these characters. We know Harley from the first book in the series when he finds Kelsey. Now both Harley and Kelsey are missing and no one knows where to even begin looking. Winters writes this one with so much suspense, and so much compassion I found myself totally lost in the story. Kelsey's path took her down a road that had me almost in tears. She is so strong, and I love her ferocity, loyalty and ability to love. Harley takes a road that is so difficult, and so visual its impossible not to feel his emotions. With all of our favorites intertwined, bringing in Alex, Mark and Zack, adding in Judy and Roy, I can't wait to see where this series takes me next. It's original and hits all the buttons I love in a book.

The narration by Troy Duran enhances this series. He has a smooth sound that is easy to listen to, but when it comes to the suspense and alpha males, lays it all out there and lets us see the story. His voice has it all, and his ability to go from adult to kid, male to female is seamless. I always look forward to his performances.

I listened to this on audio and read the ebook.
This has everything. It is touching. Exciting. Dangerous. Steamy. Has team/family loyalty. The author takes the lives of military people and shows us the life they have to adjust to after returning from protecting our freedom.
Harley has a traumatic brain injury TBI. He has memory loss and other issues. When an accident pushes him into the past his team is searching for him along with Judy the woman who loves him. Yet, she wasn't his past. Does she exist in his new present?
Meanwhile, the wife of the company owner's wife is kidnapped. So much happening. So many people who care--oh yeah, the team has been hired by the FBI to find a serial killer in DC--with their hands tied.
The narrator is spectacular. There is nothing about this but the highest praise for story and audio.
My strongest recommendation.

OH Harley. I love him. I waited for his story since I read the Alex. Poor man I cried so much for him, when he was so confused. I love his southern demeanor and I just wanted to crawl into the book and hug him. I love how all the other characters got some role in this book. They are like family and it warms me every time I got to witness their affection and loyalty to each other. Alex and Kelsey are jut amazing. I hope they get their wish in the next books, because my heart broke all over again for Kelsey. Next up is Connor.

This book was more about Alex and Kelsey again than it was about Harley and Judy. I was very disappointed that so much of the focus was pulled away from the main couple. Also, how many times are you going to have Kelsey kidnapped? FFS this is the third time already. Having her be a damsel in distress, (even if she does work actively to save herself) and having to see Alex and everyone else freaking out worrying about her, is getting old. Enough already, with putting Kelsey in danger.

Book four in the company of snipers and a very good companion to the first three. This one is a very emotional book and really highlights the effects of PTSD and the distress of war. The demons followed Harley and he couldn’t remember it all. They catch up with him after he is involved in a major car wreck on the expressway. The memories come crashing down on him without rhythm or reason so he runs thinking he’s back in Iraq. But someone else has sinister motives.

Severe PTSD and difficult to read his story but soooo good and well written. One thing that has bugged me since I read "Alex" was that Kelsey's boys were introduced as Tommy and Jackie, but Jackie's name has bounced back and forth from Joey to Jackie and back a few times in "Alex" and now when mentioned in this book Jackie is Joey. Noted also in "Gabe". I'm just saying, that should have been caught in editing.

This is not normally something I'd read (or listen to) but I received a copy of this Audiobook for free and decided to give it a go.

I very much enjoyed this story. I enjoyed the different POV's and elements to this story. I was interested and intrigued throughout.

Troy Duran was the perfect narrator for this book. If I had to rate this on narration alone I'd give it 5 stars.

Wow! Wow!

Phrases like, "couldn't put down" are usually over used but not this time. There are so many action packed storylines going on in this book I lost count. Don't worry none of them are going to bore you. I am going to.risk another old line. If never read any of the other books in this series, you have to read this one. Then I bet you read the others.

This is the fourth book in the amazing Series In The Company of Snipers, a Romantic Suspense. In this story, Harley and Kelsey, Alex's wife, disappear. The storyline is fast-paced, emotional, intense, and suspenseful. Troy Duran did a great job with the narration, as always. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series.

So many puzzles, so little time.

My heart is still pounding from all things the fell on The Team at once! Where do you start? Who is the priority? Who do you turn to? It starts and ends with the boss, but his world is shredded most of all. Have no fear, but have tissues handy.

Harley is stuck in the past after an accident. Tge lines are blurred and the love of his life can't help him recall it.

It's funny life will take you on a diffrent journey but no matter what it will lead you back to the love that is dear to you and in this book that is exactly what haopened.

I am new to Irish Winters and after experiencing Harley (In the Company of Snipers) I will certainly be reading more from her. From the very start I was drawn in. There were several story lines intricately woven into this one book that I just had to know what would happen next. I loved that it told a complete story, while weaving several different story lines into one fantastic book. I found myself not wanting to put this down and when I had to, the characters stuck with me until I could get back to them. Irish Winters created a world that I immediately felt immersed in. The characters were real and believable and written in a way that I cold.

US Army Corporal Harley Mortimer is thrown back into his days being deployed in Iraq after experiencing trauma. All his brain seems to do is be on a continuous loop of the men he lost. He can't seem to wrap his mind around who Judy is either.

Judy O'Brien is a trauma nurse who has her live planned out perfectly, until the love of her life disappears the same day Kelsey, Harley's boss' girlfriend does. The two have a tangled past. This alerts the FBI and everything seems to fall apart from there. Will her life ever be the same again?

After experiencing this fantastic story, it makes me want to read more from Irish Winters. I fell in love with many of the characters in this book and would love to know their backstory as well. I am looking forward to reading more from this talented author in the future!

PS- The audio version of this book is incredible and only enhances Irish Winter's work. Troy Duran is new to me as a narrator, but this will certainly not be the last I hear from him. I loved his versatility and he kept me thoroughly entertained from start to finish.

Harley (In The Company of Snipers Book 4) by Irish Winters
5 out of 5 stars

I have been waiting impatiently for Harley's story, he has been a favorite since I started the series. Winters did not disappoint! This is actually the fasted paced, most action packed book yet! With Kelsey and Alex coming back in strong and then Judy and Harley's story, this is full of revenge, PTSD, grief, guilt, and healing love.

As always Winters is ever mindful of the plight and sacrifice our military members and veterans go through to protect our country, but I truly appreciated her showing how that sacrifice spills over to their families as well. As an Army wife I appreciated the acknowledgement that their struggles and sacrifice takes a toll on the whole family. So when Harley suffered with PTSD it wasn't just his fight, it affected Judy and his friends and co-workers at TEAM. Then when Kelsey is kidnapped again, like a family, they suffer and pull together to find her and heal as a unit. It is the heart understanding and the respect shown for our service men and women that makes me an Irish Winters supporter, but the love and honesty in her stories that make me a true fan!

Wow. Just wow.

I rarely get so emotionally caught up in a story. But there were at least three scenes in which I could have personally destroyed the bad guy. I cheered on Kelsey and Judy and willed them some of my anger, though had plenty.

Harley tugged at my heart with his PTSD, the intensity of his flashbacks was almost debilitating to the reader.

Keeping the excitement going

An excellent addition in the continuing series of Irish winters books. Well worth the read with twists and turns that you don't expect. Again this author finds a way to make heart felt footprints in black-and-white. It's worth your time, it's worth your money, it's more than a beach read, it's a good series to invest your time in.
