This book picks up where Accidental Crush left off. It can be read as Book 2 in the series or as a stand-alone novel.
Adrienne Torrisi grew up in Florida with naturally curly hair, so she speaks from experience to all her fellow curly haired girls! She now lives in New York with her family, who inspires her everyday. She has worked as a children's television producer for most of her professional life and decided to try a slightly new adventure. https://www.facebook.com/adriennetorr...
This author remind me of author T Torres. I loved this book as much as the first and will be reading the last. I felt like I was reading about "saved by the bell" characters. The common thing that the books have in common is that something bad has to happen for them to wake up and realize what's right in front of them. This is a great series for young adults and if you are young at heart because I sure enjoyed it. I wish I had people/family friends like these characters, especially Sid and Shane.
Ashley and Todd are finally together, things are looking up, not that they were ever really too bad. Unless you count watching someone you really like kind of be with someone else. I almost feel as if history is going to repeat itself…
When Todd, Ryan and Brian go away to summer camp and Ashley is stuck home working at the city pool with Todd's nemesis quickly becoming her friend, can her and Todd last long distance? Will her growing attraction to Casey cause issues with Todd? Can Ashley trust Todd? Long distance relationships can never be easy, with out trust that is. If you have trust and you’re a strong couple, you could fight through anything.
Of course those aren't the only things that prove to cause a wedge between Todd and Ash. A vindictive girl who wants Todd all to her self tries to destroy the happy couple. Will she succeed? Adrienne Torrisi did another fabulous job making me feel everything Todd and Ash go through, also making the other characters come to life. I definitely felt sad when any one in this book did, so much that I cried a little too. Shh, don't tell anyone. I can't wait to see if there is more to Todd and Ashley's story, or maybe this was the end? Who knows. ;)
A nice conclusion to a nice series! I read it all today :)
Of course like the last book, there's A LOT of drama and gossip throughout this book as well. And a love triangle, on Ashley's end this time.
Todd goes away for football camp and trust becomes and issue between the couple. Because now there's another guy, Casey, and he likes Ashley. And of course there's jealous Rebecca who tries to mess up all of Ashley's relationships. This book is really an emotional roller-coaster to say the least!
Anyway, as you read about all that the characters go through, you can see them grown and learn from their past. They have depth and real-life problems, and it's interesting to read about how they handle them and strengthen their bond. They really stick together through thick and thin...the whole group (Sid, Shane, Ashley, Todd, Ryan, and Brian). I thoroughly enjoyed their story and I kind of wish there was another book in the series :)

First of all, I love the cover! It is so cute and sweet! Just like this book, until close to the end...
Ashley and Todd are an adorable couple. I love seeing their relationship grow. It's nostalgic.
This book is very sweet and romantic. Todd is the caring boyfriend and Ashley is the quintessential high school girlfriend. She's insecure and jumps to conclusions, but Todd is always one step ahead of her, reassuring.
This book is more focused on Ashley's life than the first book, which seemed to be more focused on her brother, Ryan, and his friends and girlfriend seen through Ashley's eyes.
Towards the end of the book, relationship drama occurs. There are misunderstandings, vindictive past-whatever, and new challenges presented. Ashley and Todd are tested in a heartbreaking way.
This takes off right where the first book ends. One thing...they have a ton of drama in their lives. It is mostly sweet.
I'm freaked out a little bit by the fact that Ashley is a 14 year old Freshman at the beginning of the book, and only just turns 15 a few months later. She seems to be taking some pretty big steps for someone so young- I'm totally allowed to think this because I have a 14 year old that will be in high school next year and I would not be happy if she was making the same decisions.
The summer drama is a bit much, but makes for a good story. Lots of heartbreaking things happen. But in the end it's a good second book and I'm diving right onto the next one.
This is such a sweet series; it always makes me smile, for the most part. There were definitely some moments that my eyes bugged out of my head, too. I love how Adrienne Torrisi writes the characters because it absolutely reminds me of the high school drama from growing up and that first crush, first love. Ash tackles some interesting issues in this one and so does Shane, and I adored how each little moment makes you feel like you're a part of their story.
I think that this was splendid book that if you read the first one then you need to read this one. I loved how they got together and how they got back together the only part I didn't like was the time in between the breakup was harsh, but needed to add some drama. If you enjoy drama and romance and boys then you will like this book.(also Hospitals);-)
It was a great YA sequel. The first was super cute but both times I kind of wish they were older because it condones underage sex and she hasn't even gone through puberty fully yet to understand her feelings or her own body. I fell in love at 15 as much as a 15 year old could so I understand her young emotions but at the same time things were taken up a level that was a bit much.
This book is a fun follow up to "Accidental Crush"! Lots of summertime drama with Ashley and her BF, Todd! Highly recommend to those who love YA books.
Nice story but Ash should have been more careful what she was doing. I think putting underage boys in a college party is wrong. They are drinking illegally and the girls are older so what adult would put them in this situation? I was shocked at how young Ashley was. I thought she was 17 not 15. I couldn't really relate to the parents who didn't care their young kids were with guys who were messing around with older girls and one right after the other.
