Rate this book
Do you at times feel as if you’re too sensitive for this world? Have other people told you you’re “too sensitive”? Have you researched the Highly Sensitive Person and found it helpful but still feel something is missing?

Welcome to the world of the Highly Sensitive Empath. Using the term merely as a focal point, The Highly Sensitive Empath explores what it feels like to be so vulnerable and yet have so many strengths the rest of the world may know nothing about.

Written with humor and in a down-to-earth manner, the author shares personal experience and common sense to ease the burden so many sensitives feel in their walk. Advice, ideas, creative outlets are all part of this book.

Maybe you just know that you’re “different” and are looking for a kindred spirit – The Highly Sensitive Empath may be a good place to start.

Thank you Gigi

This book is basically everything I've ever wanted to tell people to help them understand my eccentricities... I'm not a freak I'm just outside of normal.

While the author is kind of all over the place (which she acknowledges) I found myself relating to a lot of the characteristics of being a highly sensitive empath. Short, but helpful read.

I found this to be an interesting topic and I have a couple of friends who may find this intriguing to check out and see if they can identify with any part of it. It's casually written more like a peer to peer than a medical professional to the public - a high number who fall into this category of HSE. Those who have high anxiety might check this out and rule it out or consider.

Actually I took my time reading it as I felt a little burdened at times. The end gets into Tarot which kind of threw me off but it's her book, her way of coping, her method. It was not an advised method of solving issues, just her method.

I think I'll read some more on this topic. The mind is so fascinating. I gave it 3 stars because I believe it is a subject matter that is a little taboo and it deserved a little more than meh - it was ok. If you question your own sensitive or if people always tell you "You're too sensitive" check it out. Maybe you are and it's not negative, it's just who you are and embrace it.

I was hoping to learn more coping techniques, things that might help living in this world easier...but there wasn't anything I didn't know or do already. I do however, think this is a good book to read for those that know a HSP/HSE because it'll give you an insight into who they are and why they do certain things or act in certain ways. And well it did help with the confirmation that I'm not alone or "crazy." Just different. And that's ok.

Right on the Button

This book will tell you all you need to know about living as an HSE. I've only skimmed a few sections but I feel I am home. Gigi understands how we are, and helps us understand it and cope with it too. She gives very detailed information. Thank you :)
