Born and raised in Texas, Ward is a mixed bag of creativity spinning tales of paranormal, urban fantasy and even dark romance and horror; wrapped within a love story.

She’s been dared by her readers to write a few contemporary romances but even those reads have characters that are real and twisted by their creator. It did, however, spawn her romance tag line: Romance - The Ward Way.

Mother of three diverse and independent bold children, Ward prides herself for being the “Queen Niche’ Bitch” which is a handy way of saying she sucks writing to market.
But her readers don’t seem to mind.

This book is one that compliments my Shadow-Keepers Series (the first novella was BEFORE THE MADNESS which was included in my collection of short-stories: Bits and Pieces- Tales and Sonnets.

Fans wanted to know more about the lead God in Madness so I decided to enhance the series with novellas that fill in the history of the secondary characters.

I enjoyed writing this novella and love all the characters of The Grid and I hope you enjoy the story of BOUNCE.

I liked Bounce in "Madness" but totally melted and fell in love with him in this book. I am looking so forward to reading "Lust" and seeing more of him along with the rest of the characters in The Shadow-Keeper Series.

Jas has a way of making you want to be Bounce. Makes you feel what he feels or may not want to feel. Happiness, confusion, lust, love and soul deep sadness. All the characters are well-rounded. The intimate scenes are not vulgar with language, in fact, it is done very tastefully.

I do recommend that you read,Before the Madness: Candyman, along with Madness first so you can get the feel for the other characters. Even though you don't have to read them in order, it does help to know the characters as some cross back and forth in each. Not to mention you get to see how Bounce is from the start of the series. I would recommend this book and the series to anyone. Job well done Jas!

Way to go Jas T. Ward! You create the legendary figure that is Bounce, then you make him like a favorite old stuffed teddy bear, completely lovable with a past that can endear him to even the coldest of hearts. All that soul-wrenching history may forever make anything he does seem okay.

Once again, Jas T. Ward does things her way, The Ward Way, unique, solid and heart stopping with a dollop of brutal truths on top. Keep your eye on Ms. Ward, this author is going places!

What do I think, well I'll tell ya. I FREAKING LOVED THIS BOOK!!! I want to say so much about it, but I won't because you need to read for yourself. This is the second in the Shadow-Keeper series and I can't wait for the next. PLUS the last line in this book is a OMG!!! moment. I just sat and smiled like a crazy lady.

I can't even begin to describe how I got lost in this book. Ward certainly has a way of writing that makes you read and read until you finally look at the clock and realize you spent the entire day reading and not doing the housework you said you would do. If you need a book to get lost in, this is definitely it.

You laugh, you will certainly cry, and you will fall in love with this world she's creative and constantly seek more. I know I have.

This installment of the series tells about Bounce and his history. As the story unfolds it takes you deeper into this unique world that Jas T Ward has created. The pains that these characters go through are so well written and the characters engage with such expression that it is like you’re there with them. Great read

Really enjoying this series. Each book so far builds the story world into a reality. I love delving into each characters individual history. I truly have my own mental picture of each. This volume added quite a bit of mythology which gave the whole world a tasy twist.

I was really looking forward to reading this novella. Just the snippets of Bounce in Madness and Before the Madness had my interest peaked. How can you not be intrigued by a character fascinated with the 80s and described as being around 7 feet tall, well muscled, and with a face chiseled to perfection? I had high expectations for Bounce’s story and wow did Jas deliver. Bounce is hands down my favorite character in the Shadow-Keeper series and now knowing who and what he is I’m even more wrapped up in Bounce.

I don’t want to reveal too much but let’s just say Bounce has a past and by past I mean if you think Reno was complicated he has nothing on Bounce. I found this novella a fun and emotional read. It made me smile, laugh and tear up. Poor Bounce, he didn’t know who he was but despite that lack of knowledge he was a trusting and good guy but all that trust comes back to haunt him in some tragic ways. The tragic events of his past have made him less trusting and less open. His mind is now completely on the war with the Eaters. It’s a war he has to end for some very personal reasons. The stakes are higher for him and he will do anything and everything he has to win.

There is so much going on and so much revealed in this short story. I had a million different thoughts going through my mind after I finished reading it. I just hope that a certain Goddess eventually gets the happy ending she deserves and perhaps with a certain God.

I will never be able to look at a Rubik’s cube again without getting a little teary eyed.

Let me start this review off by saying, if you are a fan of the Shadow Keepers series, specifically Bounce, then be prepared to be extremely extremely mad at Ms. Ward when you finish this book. Want to find out why? Well buy a copy and you will see!

Now, if you haven’t read the other books in the series, then I do think that this would be a great “first book” to read because it will peak your interest a lot into this world that Ms. Ward has created. There was a lot of everything in this book that kept my attention to it and wanting to read more.

I don’t want to say too much about the book because it is a short story and there is way too much that could be taken as a spoiler. But I will say that you should really read this book because its great!

I can say that since I have read the other books that this one makes me really want the next book in the series because I can’t wait to find out more about the world that was created.

As a fan of Ms. Ward's work, I can happily say I'm never disappointed when she shares her world with such fervid passion and raw abandon. That is the mark of a true writer, to know they have laid bits of their own souls bare for the world to see, to know, to feel. And when you can run the gamut of emotions from page to page, then you've merely sipped from the cup of brilliance.

Intriguing, horrifying, mysterious and elegantly savage, Bounce is an onion of countless layers that slowly peels away to reveal a true warrior, a guardian and despite his impressive heritage, a man. A hard man with hard views but in the game of survival, he's top dog.

This book was fascinating, fast paced and special to me for certain characters that Jas thoughtfully designed and truly "got to know".

Lady Ward, once more, your intelligent and vivid brain spins a tale of heartbreaking and brilliant beauty done with your unique tone and flavor. Vivat Ms. Ward!

I've always loved Bounce, since the first moment we met him in Reno's novella, Sweet Madness (found in Bits and Pieces), he's been the tough god that rules the Grid. Though we've always seen him as strong and very near the edge of anger, his story shows his vulnerable side. At his core, he loves deeply and only wants that family he's always wondered if he had at all. Bounce will break your heart multiple times, don't be surprised if you find tears falling as you read. Thank you, Jas, for helping us understand Bounce and why he is the way he is. I can't wait to read more.
