Follow Daisy on the fourth and final adventure of a girl seeking her family in depression-era Australia
It's 1930. . . and Daisy has finally had news that her dad is alive! He's gravely injured somewhere in the bush, and though she doesn't know quite where, Daisy is determined to find him. With help from old friends, she sets off on her way. But life on the road is hard, and before long, disaster strikes . . . Will Daisy reach Dad before it's too late?
Aw, now I'm finished with Daisy there's just Pearlie left! Until they publish more of course. I do enjoy these series - the books are such quick, half-hour reads, with fun characters and fast storylines. And they're educational too!
Finished reading aloud this wonderful book, just in time to start the Ruby books for Term 3. We really enjoyed learning about life during the Great Depression in Australia and look forward to learning even more with the next book.
This book concludes Daisy’s story and was probably the most enjoyable book of the four. I didn’t like the second book because it was too miserable, but if all four books had been published as one book then this wouldn’t have been a problem, as it would have been balanced by the way the story progressed in the last two books. Overall I enjoyed the series and I will certainly try some of the other “Our Australian Girl” books.
