The crash didn’t kill me, but this bond just might. Silver markings spread across my skin like wildfire, tying me to Kavan—a seven-foot, emerald-skinned alien healer whose touch ignites sensations I never knew were possible.
One little activation of ancient technology, and now we’re psychically linked—sharing every thought, every memory, every forbidden desire. When we’re apart, I ache for him. When we’re together, I burn.
But this planet isn’t just changing me—it’s killing others. A deadly epidemic is sweeping through the human settlement, and the cure lies in the alien medicine I can only unlock through my connection with Kavan.
Commander Hammond doesn’t care about the cure. He sees our bond as a threat, branding me as "contaminated" while using my friend Claire as a test subject. Meanwhile, storms are ripping the planet apart, and every tremor weakens the bond Kavan and I need to survive.
I never asked for this connection. I never asked to crave him. But now, saving my people—and the alien who owns my heart—means risking everything.
The clock is ticking. The storms are coming. And if we fail, we’ll lose more than just each other.
Reader, dreamer and frantic scribbler. I really do believe that love conquers all... and make terrible things for my characters to survive to prove it! (insert evil laugh here)
Author Ava York has outdone herself with this series. A science fiction adventure full of non stop action and fast paced possibilities within an extremely powerful and desriptive storyline. This is book 2 of an outstanding science fiction adventure with two medical personnel who find themselves drawn towards each other in ways no one ever expected. This series introduced us to the Nyxari who seem to have an uncanny ability to connect with humans in ways no one understands. Ms York introduces us to another couple Selene and Kovak who are extremely talented in the medical field and find themselves experiencing a connection that goes deeper than knowledge or understanding. The descriptive ability Ms York possesses is a talent one often has to learn but it's very obvious that she has the natural talent to create colourful worlds for us to enjoy along with her amazing characters as they find themselves dealing with very entertaining and dangerous situations. Selene and Kovak are able to evolve together through their own emotional growth and understanding, along with finding the technology that could help both the Humans and the Nyxari they both find they are going through changes neither would have ever expected but together they are stronger and far more aware, they find that are connected at a far deeper level functioning almost as one person rather than two. If you enjoy books that are challenging and suspenseful then the 'Alien Healer's Touch' will keep you totally captivated. With a storyline that gives the reader enough challenges with the details in this imaginary world, I found that the details given to us are incitful and creative allowing me to actually visualize the details given. I truly have not read a sci-fi so well put together as this in a long time with such a powerful style of writing and descriptive information I was captivated through each chapter not able to put the book down until I had finished it. Now I am grabbing the next book in the series to see exactly where this adventure is going.
Selene is a human healer who must work with Kavan, the Nyxari healer, if they have any hope of curing a disease that is devastating the settlement. They are hindered by Commander Hammond who has his own wrong opinion about the silver markings that appeared on Selene, thinking she has been contaminated when it was explained that her lifelines are responding to the vashtka spores in the same way that Kavan's lifelines respond. There is a purpose. She feels more comfortable calling them markers rather than lifelines. They go together into a cave in their search and find a memory crystal that reacts to Selene. Kavan’s ancestors had talked of these temples of healing. A crystal formation rose from the floor and as Selene approached, it flickered with faint blue light, responding to her presence, which should not have happened. It actually recognized her as her markings interfaced with their technology. She touched something and a wall moved apart. A liquid metal flowed into the room, coalesced and rose into a humanoid form. Kavan recognized it as a guardian, protecting this area from intruders, but it seemed to be damaged. Then it began to attack them! Would they survive? Is there any way to save themselves and the settlement? Or are they doomed to perish?
Ava York and Bella Blaze have upped the story of the Nyxari Bondmates in book 2, Alien Healer’s Touch! Selene is a human healer who teams up with Nyxari healer Kavan to find a cure for the deadly disease that is threatening the human settlement. Cdr Hammond, as always, fears their collaboration, still believing the glowing symbols on the human women are evidence of contamination. Selene and Kavan face much danger as they navigate through the land being disrupted by earthquakes and acid rain and the fissures and tunnels below where they discover ancient secret tech that aids their abilities to heal and resonate with one another on a whole other level! Now Hammond is taking captured female Claire to another relic site. Can’t wait for book 3!
Stopped at 61% I usually look at the book's ratings and find them high. When I started reading, I realized the story didn't deserve it, in my opinion, so I stopped at 61%. The hero is a healer and the heroine is a doctor, and it makes sense that all their actions are thoughtful and practical. But it went too far; there was no chemistry between the two characters, and I didn't feel a connection between them. Even their first intimate contact was done in the form of a scientific experiment. The world building was good and the plot was intriguing but what made the story uninteresting was the romance aspect and the lukewarm relationship between the characters.

Selene and Kavan are healers, one human and the other a Nyxari. Fascinated with their markings but Selene thinks it’s all scientific. Their romance was more of a slow burn as they navigated the planet’s mysterious past and the hidden underground facilities. Gaining more knowledge and trust in each other, they just may save the marked ones if they can stop the crazy commander. Ugh! That crazy Hammond needs to fall in a fissure and not survive. I shudder to think how much further he will go in his delusional, psychotic mania. I have to hurry off to the next book. Join me on this journey!
Alien Healers Touch: Crash Landing Nyxari Bond Mates Book 2
Loved this one as much as the first book. Almost better because Selene isn't as afraid of whats happening and is embracing it completely. Learning more and more of the Nyxari history. Its fascinating. I love the descriptions of the planet and its animal species. I love the whole concept of the story line. It just keeps getting better and better. The thought of having that deep of a connection to someone is a little scary but also wondrous. I would love to have that with a man of my dreams. Fantastic concepts to the whole series. Kathy A+++++
This is Selene and Kavan's epic survival story. Both healers, both trying to ensure the survival of their people. They set off on a perilous mission to find medicine to help the human settlement, despite the aggressive behaviour of the human commander. The experience so many challenges - predators, tremors, acid rain - all while trying to evade capture by the guardforce of the humans they are trying to help. Great read about a couple with so many shared trials to overcome. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC and am happily leaving a review.
A very adventurous and dangerous story. Selene, a human doctor, and Kavan, a Nyxari healer are the two main characters. Both want to heal and help others. But the planet itself is extremely dangerous and will make their journey almost impossible. Then there is Hammond. A human in control of one of the human settlements. He trusts no one and especially the aliens. Between him and the planet are two healers will go on what seems an insane journey to save the lives of both of their people.
This is book two in the series. The main storyline is that humans crashed in an alien planet and some are willing to interact with the locals and some are not. One Commander Hammond is power hungry and trying to destroy everything that is alien. One human doctor Selene and her bonded mate doctor is trying to save the planet. Each book does focus on a couple but there is not an ending; it’s more like an episode in a series. Read On!
This book explores the links between fear used to control, fear that produces war. It is so reminiscent of our present leader it is profound! The narrative is about bonds freely given in a cooperate manner without a dominate and forced bonds generated from fear, the latter leading to war and planetary destruction.
This book was kind of different. I am not sure if I will continue with the series. The story is interesting, but I often feel like something is missing. The characters are interesting and I like their interactions. I just wish I understood more about what is happening around them.
Your story seems out of order. It jumps around sometimes. Your character development is shakey. Theyres too much one step forward and two steps back. The premise is great, but i kept getting lost, but no it jumps time between two paragraphs without a warning. It needs polishing pretty badly.
I missed reading the first book in this series, so it took a few chapters for me to figure things out, but I loved the camaraderie between Kavan and Selene as they grew closer. I’m definitely going to go back and read the first book, though.
I enjoyed reading this book, the storyline is well written and the interaction between the characters is wonderful. I can't wait to read more from this author. I received this book as a Free ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review
I couldn’t finish the book because it became so technical hence it was boring. I felt overwhelmed with trying to keep up with what lines do what and all of the names for the herbs, etc.
The nexari have very sensitive and unique capabilities. The human females are learning more and more as the markings appeared on their skin and the enhancements that increase the knowledge they already possess. Selene and healer Kavan wow. Great romance .
This was a must read for aliens romance readers. Good characters with a well written world. The story is very interesting and of course the human male can not handle the female choices.
