Ultimate Wolvie continues to be a delight, and this issue is extra sad. Watching Logan hunt his besties is not fun, but in the best way possible. I hope he remembers soon.

#NotMyKittyPryde

As a rule I really enjoy these Ultimate reimaginings. Spider-man, Black Panther and The Ultimates are among my favorites. The X-Men book didn’t do anything for me and I thought it was because it wasn’t any X-men I recognized—but this book has brought in some of the core team and I’m just not feeling it. Wolverine has never been one of my faves, so there’s no emotional connection there. I was ready to drop this after issue 2 but this issue promised my favorite mutant. But yeah, no, this isn’t Kitty Pryde. Sorry! Out!

definitely interested to see where they go with this - funny how gambit is basically the exact same character here as in mainline 616 stuff, maybe a tad bit of a missed opportunity (too early to tell)

Kitty Pryde, Gambit, and Natasha Romanov! Logan is sent to take out all three of em which again leads to a sense of dread this series has done very well to instill. And by god I still can’t get over how good the art is, it does wonders for the tone of the books.

Es curioso. De un 2º número que salvo por la aparición del Hacedor quedaba reiterativo en dejar claro el estatus de Arma X de Logan en el Universo Ultimate, pasamos a algo realmente emocionante como parte del 1º número con un nuevo vistazo a una célula rebelde mutante de la que Logan era miembro. Ahí, Gambito y Kitty dan la bienvenida a una desertora del regimen de los Rasputín. El Soldad de Invierno está activado en el terreno una vez más... ¿Algo cambiará?

While getting the story in motion slowly, this issue does do more than the last to get the story going. Couple this with some stellar art and plenty of entertainment, it makes for a fun read that does well to build this new Ultimate Universe.

Eventually Wolverine was gonna remember or join The Opposition, but I wasn't sure how they'd do it. Now we know. Also, we got GAMBIT!!!!! Peak incoming if there's more Gambit.
