Midnight Black is the second book in Dark Pieces series by Maria McCartan and begins just as Little Dark Pieces ended. Hero Carly is enjoying her time with hero Nick - he seems to good to be true and when he reveals his "secret", Carly breaks up with him. Nick cares about Carly so much that he refuses to believe that their relationship is over and does everything he can to get her back. Thank goodness that book three of this series, Dark Proposal, is available for purchase. So glad that there will be several books in the series!

This was a really quick read - I enjoyed this one a bit more than the first.
