Her inheritance is her only lifeline. But her ex’s family wants to steal it from her.
Tanya is praying for a miracle. Penniless and out of work, she’s tired of struggling just to feed herself and her son. But when she receives a surprise gift from her late ex-mother-in-law in the form of a beautiful beachside house and an ancient antique shop, it feels too good to be true.
But there’s a catch—the tiny town of Magnolia Harbor is the home of her estranged ex’s family... and plenty of long-buried secrets that she’d prefer to leave in the dark. Faced with a jealous ex-brother and sister-in-law who would do anything to rob her and her son of their newfound future, Tanya struggles to bring the antique shop back to life and make friends with the suspicious locals.
And when an old lover unexpectedly steps back into her life, it threatens to drown her beneath a sea of intrigue, anxiety... and a passion that never died. Tanya never expected to see Ryder again. But she’s hiding a massive secret from him—one that will change both of their lives forever.
And in these small towns, secrets have a way of getting out.
The Beachside Summer Shop is a beautiful beachside read with clean romance, summertime vibes, family drama, & second chances.
Tom & Heidi, and Uncle Caden keep harassing Ryder & Tanya, especially Tanya because they are desperate to get the house & shop that was left to Tanya by her ex mother-in-law. No one can understand why she left it to Tanya, especially since she said her mother-in-law never liked her & blamed her for her son’s death. They have Ryder thrown in jail. Tanya doesn’t understand why they want him in jail. This is an amazing story. Tanya was still keeping her secrets, but now her big secret has come to light! Ryder heard Tanya talking in her sleep, letting her BIG secret come to life before she was ready! Ryder is furious & did not wait until she wakes up to confront her. She is startled awake by Ryder & she is pretty sure she was talking out loud in her sleep. He is so mad when she admits it is true that he just leaves & doesn’t come back until morning! Boy is he furious that she has kept this big secret from him all these years. I can’t wait for next book to find out his reaction to all of this once he calms down.
I received this ARC book for free & I am giving my review for free without any assistance from the publisher or the author. Good read!
This starts out with Ryder getting out of jail and realizing he needed to do something to protect Tanya and her son, Myles. So while Tanya is at the store, Ryder goes to meet his attorney and talk to police about Tanyas exes family and their criminal activities. They decide to go thru some boxes and Tanya finds an envelope addressed to officer Brody from Tanyas exes mother in laws attorney. Besides the note there are pictures and jewelry. Tanya decides to hide it for now and doesn't tell Ryder. Then what's left of Tanyas exes family shows up and threatens Tanya and Ryder. Its just about the last straw for her, so Ryder takes everyone back to his house. They get Myles to bed and Tanya falls, asleep on the couch and dreams about talking to her friend, Diane. Unfortunately, she is talking in het sleep and talks about a secret she has been keeping to herself and Ryder hears it

Things either get more mysterious, Tanya talks in her sleep and Ryder knows her secret. What's next for this couple and will other mysterious events finely come to light. Enjoy
The mystery twists and turns just keep getting stronger. The characters are all a different mix of people. Most are friendly and fun. Some are evil and not very nice. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
