The stage is set, the battle lines drawn. War has arrived.
After a brutal operation in Azerbaijan, Reed Montgomery and the battered Prosecution Force barely have time to breathe before they’re pulled into the opening act of a third world war. Russia, Iran, and China are acting fast and violently to tighten their grip, bent on global supremacy.
For the Prosecution Force, stopping the inevitable feels impossible. But wars are won one battle at a time, and the next fight isn’t on the battlefield—it’s in the halls of power. India, the world’s second-largest military power, stands at a crossroads, teetering between Western allies and Chinese threats. And when the CIA uncovers a covert Chinese operation designed to pull India into the enemy’s grasp, the White House is left with no intervene or lose a critical ally.
Now, deep in the streets of Kolkata, Montgomery and his team have their orders—sabotage the Chinese operation, no matter the cost. But the Prosecution Force is beat up, undermanned, and walking straight into the lion’s den.
They have no reinforcements. No second chances. Just a world on the brink of war—and a fight they refuse to lose.

Author Ryles completely nails this 9th book in the series, deftly keeping multiple plot lines going, while rocketing the action from continent to continent. To get full context, start reading with Book 1. What’s even more impressive, is that Ryles’ juggles 2 other excellent series: Mason Sharpe and Ian Hale.
I received an ARC through "Severn River" and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
The story begins with the remaining members recuperating from their last mission. Reed is anxious to get moving once more and requests to go back in the field. Reed is given a mission and is joined by Turk and Lucy, the only members who have recovered. They are handed a simple mission to get evidence of a meeting between a minister from India and a Chinese member. Things do not go as planned and the Indian minister is killed. Reed has been identified as the killer and Reed and Turk escape, but Lucy is captured. Reed requests assistance from Aimes but does not receive it. Reed contacted them one more time and pleaded his case with Rigby and learned that the only way they would receive assistance is if they had proof someone else did it.
Read along and follow Reed and Turk in the quest to clear their name. Read the exciting conclusion to learn what happened in the end. This story is well worth reading, don't miss out!
Thanks to Logan Ryles for allowing me to preview Full Dark, another riveting installment in the Prosecution Force series. While the entire series is remarkably intense, each volume manages to raise the stakes, and this book is no exception.
As usual, Ryles' writing style kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. He has a distinct skill for building plots that reflect today's geopolitical realities, prompting the reader to truly consider these "what if" scenarios. With the urgent threat of global conflict, the mission for the beleaguered Prosecution Force feels more critical than ever. The added subplots involving President Maggie Trousdale and her team further complicate matters, creating a truly dire outlook.
Will fighting against all odds pay off for the Force, and by extension, stave off mutual destruction for the whole world? You'll have to pick up this fast-paced thriller and see for yourself!
PROSECUTION FORCE SERIES: Source: Ryles' ARC team and Severn River Publishing. FULL DARK, #9 - Reed got on my nerves with his selfishness but then the story started rocking and he was off my list. Interesting. Intriguing. Action filled. 5*
FAILED STATE, #4 - My first of this series and I did not miss the first three books. Standalone, interesting with Wolfgang as a member of another "group". 4*
FIRESTORM, #5 - Totally mesmerizing. I could not put down this action-filled, fast-paced, intriguing story with its great, and no so good, characters and interesting story lines. Enjoyed Wolfgang's prosthesis. 15*
WHITE ALERT, #6 - Full of intrigue and suspense, multiple players, and interesting story lines. Add in a few happenings and surprises to make a hard to put down book. 5*
NUCLEAR NATION, #7 - Intense. Intriguing. Interesting. Kinda wonders about the Team's future after reading this quick paced, action filled, twisty-turny book. Man, I love Ivan; he adds so much to the meaty parts. Hope Eight gets published ASAP. 5*
FALLOUT, #8 - Fallout does not disappoint. Interesting. Intense. Enjoyable. Live this series and author! 5*
Reed and his team are on the ship where he is still recovering. They receive an assignment to go to Kolkata, India. Strictly to observe and provide proof that the PM is meeting with the Chinese. It was all a set up to point the finger at Reed and America. Reed and Turk escaped but Lucy was captured. They refuse to leave India without her. Meanwhile Muddy Maggie has become Mad Maggie, losing all grip on reality. She refuses to allow assistance to Montgomery and his team. Tensions are really high throughout as is the action. I don't remember the last time I read a better ending to a book. Fantastic!
I hate that I love this series so much. It is maddening that no book is ever really finished - and that you have to wait months before the conclusion in the next book - which only starts a new story so you have to buy the book! I would have given it 5 stars but there is too much time between books so I spend too much time trying to remember where we left off at the start of each book so I feel like i'm playing catch up.
Now I'm done complaining I have to say why I love it. This series is terrifying. If you close your eyes it is easy to imagine what is in the book coming across the evening news right now. It truly parallels what is happening in our world right now.
What a follow up to White Alert. Non-stop action in this political/military thriller that shows the dark side of Washington politics and how lives are discarded when no longer politically viable. Washington is truly a swamp! I am so glad that there are people like Reed, Turk, Lucy and all the other nameless souls whose efforts help keep the rest of America safe. What a fantastic read! I received an ARC from Severn Publishing and the opinions expressed are my own.
I received an advanced copy of this book for my honest review. This is a continuation of an excellent series. It involves politics and special forces. The story moves fairly fast with action well placed. The reader needs to have read the previous books in series to understand some references to previous events. The characters and story are well developed and believable. I’m ready for the next book.
