Darts night at the Golden Dragon and Fin’s life is about to change forever.

Living in a small seaside resort she thought she was doing fine. Summer flings were great and winter evenings behind the bar were whiled away dreaming of the next conquest in the dunes.

This positively delightful short story shares a magical moment when There Was a Time. Well, it actually shares much more than a moment, but everything except the extended instance is frosting on the cake or all that can make life beautiful for a gloriously centered woman. This bit of a memoir is a pleasurable pearl and perfectly charming. Delectable!

Fin still lives in the seaside village where she was born and decided to stay. It seemed to me like a shining piece of heaven on a coast in Dorset, England. She is comfortable with herself and satisfied with her job. Life is really A-Okay! Terrific!

A very sweet part of the story in a flashback. Actually, it may all have been a flashback, but that would not have altered the transformative telling or re-telling of that perfect moment in time. For an extra touch of drama at the pub where Fin is the regular bartender, a lovely set of fateful concurrences sets the stage for the anticipated dart tournament and how everyone, even the competitors, had their pants charmed off. Though not included in the story, my sense is that night is retold countless times for everyone's enjoyment. Magical!

Fin is the narrator and participant when that moment in time presents its wonder, bedazzling qualities, and miraculous transformations. I thoroughly recommend that everyone take a short break in their routine, read this extraordinary story, and enjoy the glow for a long, long time. So satisfying!
