dry, but that is to be expected. my biggest qualm with this book was the repetitive nature and the way that the book was structured. i think the repetitiveness could have been alleviated a good deal had the book been structured in a different format, focusing say on positivist research, then post-positivist research and so forth.
it was interesting, but i would not have finished it had it not been an assigned text.

A heavy theoretical and historical account to Qualitative research as the author provides a foundation to this method. I personally enjoyed the rich history in understanding Aristotle and Plato philosophical approaches still impacting Western thought today. Although dry, and somewhat of a challenge to read (if you have no experience in Qual methods), the author does provide example articles to help further understanding.
