The Christian life is not meant to be a burden—it's a joy. Yet, we feel burdened by the world, the devil, and even our own hearts as they constantly whisper that we're not doing enough, growing enough, or believing enough. But what if "enough" isn't something we achieve—what if it's something already given to us?
Enough with "Enough" is the next volume in our Letters of Encouragement series. It delivers 23 heartfelt letters written for women who feel the weight of measuring up. In this pages, you will be reminded that the gospel isn't about what we do—it's about what Christ has already done. Jesus is both the fulfillment of the law and the forgiveness of our sins, freeing us from the exhausting cycle of self-measurement.
With grace-filled encouragement, this book invites Christian women to embrace their God-given vocations with joy and confidence. In Christ, we don't have to strive for "enough"—in him, we are enough.
I recently got this book because a friend contributed to it. However, I have to say, I think it might be the best book written for Christian women that I have come across.
It’s full of topical encouragement for just about every moment you can come up with. It is encouraging, convicting, and uplifting; pointing you straight to the cross in each section with its scripture references. It also goes deep without being hard to understand.
I know I’m going to be reaching for it regularly when I need to check in on a topic.
As with any book of essays, some of these were better IMO than others, some were more applicable to me than others. Quite a few of these are specifically for young women, not old tired moms! This is a great collection, though, and most Christian women will find something here to encourage them.
I particularly enjoyed the essays by Deaconess Ellie Corrow, Dr. Bethany Kilcrease, Katie Chester, and Paige Rebber.
