This is a pretty good book, original take on the whole big wild dog/werewolf stories. However in that it becomes a bit hit and miss: Reason...imagine,
This is England meets Trainspotting meets any werewolf horror.
Yeah it's a slow start where the anti-hero is a bit too thug like chav for my liking, in a racist crew (kinda they all stick to their own gangs) and yeah thinks he is the hard nut-okay granted hard life on the council estate as it lumbers on and Pete will tell you about fights and doing drugs and having sex...all the laddish life.
Until he gets an odd belt with a dog shaped belt buckle and then his world is turned upside down as the belt turns him into a big vicious dog and when he uses that to his advantage the higher ups who like to keep things discreet when they do bad things want Pete and when captured, thrown into an odd secret prison he finds other men all in trouble and they form a ragtag alliance.
Will they be hunted by the rich dogs or will they escape.
One thing I do love about this is how the story is told as if talking about the making of the upcoming movie of said story. Makes for an amusing read.
