Secrets have a way of revealing themselves. Sometimes they lead to heartache, but other times they surprise you and give you everything you need.

Edgar is the youngest in a generations-old crabbing family. He’s always known who and what he’d grow up to be. Until everything changes.
From the moment he picks up a welding torch, he knows his life will never be the same. Curiosity about what he can create leads him down the road to producing something truly magical. But how does he tell his family where his heart lies? And what happens when, because of his secret art, he meets an incredible woman who entices him in every way?

Simone, a sought-after art curator from New York City, has spent most of her adult life building connections and establishing an impressive reputation. Unexpectedly, she’s introduced to a new artist whose work stirs up intense emotions within her.
He wants to remain anonymous, but she needs to know more about this mystery man. She travels to his hometown of Kodiak, Alaska, to see what inspires his extraordinary art. While there, she meets a crab fisherman who captivates her, leaving her tied up in knots. The connection they share is intense and life-changing, much like the works of the secretive artist. Only, she can’t answer why. Nor can she figure out what, if anything, happens next with the small-town crabber. Because getting involved with a younger man who lives on the other side of the country seems impractical and foolish.

But could they make it work if all their secrets and fears were released?

Edgar was so cute in this one. From hiding his art from his family, to how instantly smitten he was with Simone and how he took the time to get to know her. I think I liked that latter part best. Both of them really made an effort to get to know each other before anything else happened. The distance and their jobs made this a big reality for them, but they worked it to their advantage. When it was time to take that leap, they were ready. I loved how Simone was the one that took that leap and how instantly Edgar let her know it was the right thing! The ending was perfect for them, loved to see them both thriving in their lives!

This is the third book in the Bearing Sea Crabbers series. Edgar fishes for crabs, but he also has a gift that he has kept hidden from everyone. When he sends off some of his pieces for exhibition, a curator from New York notices them and is immediately drawn to him. Simone takes a plane to Kodiak in an attempt to locate the artist. I loved this slow-burning romance in every way. They had a wonderful chemistry and love for one another. Jessica Buss carefully depicted a fisherman's life, emphasizing risks and companionship at sea. I adore that each of these books teaches us about Alaska and crab fishing. I can't wait to read the next book!!

This book was a little slower for me to get into than the rest of the series, but, once again, I loved it! These crabbers have totally stolen my heart! I love this series so much. It's a refreshing change of pace from the rest of Romancelandia.

After having read Baited and Caught this year I couldn't wait for more! I've been excited for this third installment ever since it was announced. Back to the Bering Sea Crabbers world I went! I loved this story!

I've been wanting Edgar's story and was so happy we were getting it with Released!

Edgar and Simone's journey pulled me right in! Simone is an art curator and Edgar is a crab fisherman with an art secret. As Edgar and Simone are brought together in Kodiak Island, will they let each other into their hearts and create something beautiful, together?

From the start Edgar and Simone got me right into their story! I really enjoyed how these two were brought into each other's lives and that I got to dig deeper with both of them throughout. From truths, art, crabbing life, family, and everything between them, I couldn't wait to see how Simone and Edgar would figure everything out!

Simone and Edgar got right to my heart! I felt so many things with them while reading. I loved Edgar's welded art and the joy that it brought him touched my heart. I adored Simone's true appreciation for art and how Edgar's pieces got to her. Edgar and Simone were all about each other which made me so happy! Their chemistry and mutual love for art all shined throughout!

It was such a treat to be back in Alaska and get more of the Bering Sea, Kodiak Island, and this crew of characters! I really loved what all that welding, art, and family brought to this story!

With Released, Ms.Buss has created such a wonderful age gap romance that brought crab fisherman x art curator, secrets, beautiful Kodiak Island, welding, art, spice, and many feels! 🦀🎨

This series is a breath of fresh air and will have you falling hard! I can't wait to dive back into the Bering Sea Crabbers Series with the fourth installment, Redeem!

I do love diving into a Jessica Buss romance, and once again she’s delivered an unputdownable, captivating read with Released — a reverse age gap romance and the third book in the Bering Sea Crabbers series.

This time, we get Edgar’s story — the younger brother who’s spent months at sea and quietly stolen hearts since the very beginning. When he’s not on the Bering Sea, Edgar loses himself in the art he creates with metal and a welding torch — raw, powerful pieces that reflect the depths of his soul. When another curator discovers his work and brings it to the attention of Simone, an art curator with an eye for beauty and emotion, she’s instantly drawn to the mystery and intensity behind each sculpture.

Meeting Edgar only deepens that pull — their connection is immediate, magnetic, and impossible to ignore. Yet Simone has no idea who he really is or the life he leads when he’s out on the ocean.

Released is a beautifully written, heartfelt romance about finding connection in unexpected places, learning to trust, and discovering that love — like art — can be both fragile and fierce. This story will linger long after the final page.

This is the third book in the Crabbers series, and it’s another wonderful addition! Simone and Edgar are such a charming couple—their chemistry is undeniable from the very beginning, even before they discover their shared passion connection through art. Jessica once again captures the rugged beauty and spirit of life in Alaska, weaving in the warmth of small-town traditions and the unique world of the crabbing industry. It’s a heartfelt story that makes you feel like you’re right there on the docks. I also loved how Jessica introduces readers to the art of welded sculptures—a beautiful, unique and underrated form of creativity that adds a unique layer to this story.

Wow! I had no idea that welding could be so sexy!?! 🥵🫠
This series is truly one of a kind — I don’t think I’ve ever read anything quite like the Bering Sea Crabbers Series!

This book is such a wholesome and heartfelt read. The characters feel so real and relatable that you can practically picture yourself right there with them, living their lives. The chemistry between them is electric, yet it unfolds so naturally that you couldn’t imagine the story any other way.

Jessica has absolutely outdone herself with this one. From start to finish, she kept me hooked with the perfect balance of heart, heat, and emotion. A beautifully written story that hits all the right notes! ❤️🔥

Incredible! This romance showcases original storytelling at its finest. The other two books are just as fantastic! Edgar and Simone's story is an age-gap romance, one of my favorite tropes. Their story is heartfelt, emotional, and incredibly sexy! It touched my heart exactly when I needed it most. Their chemistry sizzled the moment they first saw each other. I adored their story and warmly recommend it. Along with all this wonderfulness, I also enjoy reading and learning about Alaska and the families who make their living conquering the Bering Sea. All the feels. All the stars!

I could not get enough of this book! This is book 3 in the series and it just keeps getting better and better. Edgar and Simone have an age difference but when it comes to love what does age matter. Their chemistry is off the charts! I also love that we are learning about crab fishing and Alaska in each of these books.
Another fantastic read by Jessica Buss!

This is a heartwarming and entertaining story about Alaskan crab fisherman, Edgar, and art curator Simone. It is the third book in the Bering Sea Crabbers Series and my favorite so far. Edgar, who risks his life on the Bering Sea, has a hidden artistic side. When Simone, a Seattle art expert, displays his sculptures, she becomes intrigued by the man behind the art. The characters were great, lovable, interesting, and the friendships were beautiful.

We adored every aspect of this slow-burning romance. The characters were endearing, captivating, and engaging, and the love that blossomed between a couple who initially seemed so different yet shared many commonalities was heartwarming. Simone, a sweet woman, and Edgar, an easy-going and talented man, were a perfect match. Their love and chemistry were beautiful and passionate.

We found ourselves rooting for this couple despite the challenges of their long-distance relationship, and we admired how effortlessly Simone integrated into the small town and Edgar's family. Both led busy lives, but their love was worth the obstacles they faced.

The author skillfully portrayed the life of a fisherman, highlighting the dangers, distances, and the beauty and camaraderie at sea. The narrative delved into the intricacies of their daily lives and the responsibilities that came with their profession.

I enjoyed this well-written and engaging story. The unexpected love story between them was captivating. We laughed and cried as it was a beautiful and touching love story.

I loved Edgar and Simone! This is the 3rd book in the Bearing Sea Crabbers and Edgar is Henrik's younger brother and also a 3rd generation crabber. He spends almost half of each year out on the freezing Bearing Sea doing the most dangerous job. He has recently discovered his artistic side of welding by creating sculptures of junk pieces of metal. Each sculpture represents the sea which is an integral part of his life. He works on these whenever he has any down time at home but keeps this part of his life private from everyone, afraid its not good enough.

Simone is an art curator in New York who sees some of Edgar's work when he finally is brave enough to submit a few to a gallery in Seattle. She feels an instant connection when she sees it and has several clients interested. She flies to Seattle to purchase them and then to Kodiak to try to find the elusive "Island Weld" which is the name Edgar uses for his work.

The chemistry Simone and Edgar feel is amazing from first sight, but he defers to tell her he is the man she is seeking. He wants to know if she can fall for him for himself. This book is so good and I couldn't put it down! We also have Henrik and Carina along with Eirik and Mia and of course baby Aksel, family from the first two books that are wonderful to catch up on! Edgar's best friend Brock, who the next book is going to be about *can't wait!* and Simone's best friend/father figure Geoffrey just bring so much richness to this story! FIVE SEA GLASS STARS!

Released is Alaskan crab fisherman, Edgar and art curator Simone’s heartwarming and entertaining story. It’s book three in the Bering Sea Crabbers Series and so far this is my favorite.
Edgar may have been brought up to spend his days and nights risking life and limb on the Bering Sea to bring the catch in but he also has an artistic side he has been hiding from his family and friends. When a Seattle art expert takes some of his sculptures to display it’s Simone who finds herself drawn to the man but can she find the man behind the art…..
What follows is Simone flying to Kodiak to see if she can track the artist down but all she finds is Edgar the fisherman.
So what happens when secrets are revealed will the relationship be over before it’s even began.
I loved everything about this well written and entertaining story. I fell hard and fast for Edgar and I adored Simone but what took this book to another level watching this couple find love when they least expected to.

4.5/5⭐️
This is my favorite book in the Bering Sea Crabbers series so far. Here the younger Berg brother, Edgar, falls in love with Simone who is an art curator based far, far away in New York.

I loved the delicious slow burn between them that is built on deep conversations, a common love for art and of course, physical attraction too. The long distance and the nature of Edgar’s job leads to the need for a critical decision to be made for them to progress further in their relationship.

And I liked how the author chose to delve into this topic. There was no major drama, but a realistic portrayal of a couple who were willing to put in the effort to support each other’s careers while prioritising each other.

I can not believe how much each of the stories in this series so far has captured my heart.
We have reached Edgar, the youngest in the crabbing family tradition.
Edgar is holding a secret close to his heart. He is not only a crabber but he is also an artist.
It is through his connection in the art world he meets Simone. They are drawn to each other but there is an age gap and a mileage gap.
The heart knows what it wants and these two must work fervently to overcome the time and distance.
I was pulling hard for these two. Edgar not only has a real knack for capturing the elusive Alaskan King Crab but his artistic bend drew me in from the start.

I loved this! It's Edgar & Simone's story & it was awesome!! Edgar is a crab fisherman, but he also has a talent that he's kept from everybody. When he sends off some of his pieces to be shown, a curator from New York sees them & is instantly drawn to him. But he wants to remain anonymous for a lot of reasons. Simone is determined to find the artist & flies to Kodiak. Instead, she meets Edgar the crab fishermen & their attraction to the other is undeniable. Their relationship has a very natural build up & is awesome! I loved the story & the spice was fantastic! Highly recommend this book & author!!

I have enjoyed this series and have been eagerly waiting for Edgar's story. He's been working on a fishing boat as he comes from a crabbing family but also has an artistic side. Simone has made a name for herself in the art world as a curator and finds herself drawn to Edgar's art pieces and travels to Alaska to find this anonymous artist. She is surprised to find herself drawn to Edgar considering he's younger than she is but their relationship was perfect. So far this is my favorite book in the series!

I enjoyed Edgar's side job, his passion for it, while keeping his love for crabbing. I felt his apprehension about going public. Simone fell in love with his art before she met Edgar, but when she met him, their chemistry was instantaneous. They struggled with the distance and work schedules as they got to know each other. The heat grew as they got to know each other. I loved the supporting characters, their acceptance of his art, and their love for family and life. Well worth the read.

I absolutely loved this art world centered story. Edgar, who is a crabber, spends his time on land welding sculptures. He is unsure of his work and does not feel comfortable sharing it with the world. However, when he meets Simone everything changes for several reasons. I truly enjoyed Edgar and Simone’s story, their connection felt so genuine. This book is well written with an engaging plot, I highly recommend you to take time to read it.

This book was everything I wanted for Edgar!!! And if you read the dedication, you will understand… You’re welcome!!! (wink emoji). This time it was Edgar and Simone’s turn, and it was perfect. I definitely fell in love with Kodiak a little more again—and with these fishermen. I love how Jessica Buss is giving us this new place to explore, with new stories and a new type of MMC to fall in love with. I loved all the secrets and that instant connection, and how hard they fall for each other. Simone is one of my favorite FMCs. She is so perfect—strong, intelligent, independent—and she is obsessed with Edgar. You’re going to be obsessed too while reading this book. I love how deeply Edgar loves her, and I love so, so much how Simone helps him embrace his talents and be proud of himself. Their HEA was perfect, romantic, and beautiful. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. Congratulations, Jessica, on another fantastic book.
