Comparative to the other novels in the series this was a disappointing addition to the series. Still not a bad read by any means, but this didn't grip me like the other novels did and for the first time I found myself really wanting the series to end. I'll keep reading to the end, no doubt about that, but sincerely hoping the next book is stronger.
By now the books have seamlessly merged together for me and I am thinking this is probably the effect that the author is angling for all along. This is also the book where I feel like the author has managed to shake it entirely loose from the template that I felt was what held together the earlier books in the series. Good work.
I am loving this series! Each book keeps getting better and better! This one was a lot more about Alex but i liked it, and the story with Hans. I’m really looking forward to finding out what’s going on with the Dreamer Doors competition!
The quest takes Sam to Angkor Wat in Cambodia for the search for the tenth Dreamer. Sam, Alex and Eva all have clear and distinct paths, and the stakes are climbing for each of them. The Last Thirteen race is becoming more widely known to the general public, and it'll be interesting to see the impact this knowledge has in the final three books.
It’s also getting to the point where I can’t say much without giving away the plot – but it’s heartwrenching.
Brilliant. Again James Phelan manipulates the exhilarating world he has created, forever adding plot twists to keep it all entertaining and full of suspense. Sam continues his search for the last 13, and this time he escapes, but with the loss of a dear friend. James Phelan manipulates his story, and everything is planned well, nothing goes wrong like the inner of his tale. Fantastic.
This one had a lot of feels in it, and at one point it had my daughter crying. This may be the best one of the series so far. It is getting close to the end of the series and I hope it has a good ending.
