Game Changing for Any Generation -
Truth be told, I’m kind of surprised I’m actually writing this review. You’d be hard pressed to find a more unlikely reader and reviewer of this book by Travis Hearn. But after finishing this book and sitting here trying to gather my thoughts about it I can’t help but think our Creator has a wonderful sense of humor and wonderful way of using the unlikely things of this world.
First of all, GameChanger is a Christian motivational book which explores core Biblcial principles written around the stories of famous sports personalities and the apostles. But there is a slight problem, I’m not a big sports fan. Not that I don’t respect those who nurture and refine their God given talents but frankly I think it is better to be out there doing not watching.
You see Travis Hearn for whatever unlikely reason followed me on Twitter. I checked out his bio and saw that he was a pastor and author from Arizona and naturally I was curious. So here I am checking out his book trying to decide if I want to risk stepping out of my comfort zone.
In any case I read Mr. Hearns book Gamechanger and let me tell you it had a surprisingly powerful message. Once I got over all the sports lingo and the modern slang I really enjoyed the book. Each chapter focused on a specific attribute of a believers walk in Christ. With depth, wit and a good deal of humility Mr. Hearn addressed Courage, Failure, Action, Grace, Learning, Favor Perseverance, Dreams, Character, Influence and Faith. I can’t say I agreed with everything Mr. Hearn said but there were far too many wonderful insights in this book than can be listed in this review. I especially appreciated Mr. Hearns chapters on Character, Perseverance and Favor and his personal stories which so well illustrated those points. Definitely GameChanging chapters for me.
In summary we all know it’s not good to judge a book by its cover. I would like to add that I learned in reading this book the same can be said about a books author. Travis Hearn showed me that timeless Biblical ideas and principles, no matter how they are presented, can have a gamechanging influence on any generation.

Life Changing
Travis Hearn's book Game Changer is amazing. This humble man, who could easily be vain, teaches us how to transform our lives through faith in an Almighty God and His promise that nothing is impossible with Him. Travis is very open and honest about his life and failures before finding the key to victory. That honesty made me realize that becoming a Game Changer may take a few stumbles but if we persist in faith we can find a peace in knowing God has our struggles and we can live a life far greater than we could even dream. Through scripture, stories and always prayer, this book is a nugget of pure gold for the life of any believer who wants to live an outstanding life for the glory of God. Thank you, Travis Hearn, for showing us a faith in God without borders. If I could give a rating higher than five stars it certainly would go to Game Changer.

I actually loved this book! You could tell that Pastor Hearn shared his whole heart within its pages. Heartfelt examples of courage and perseverance will lead you on a path to find your own inner strength to become the "Game Changer" you were meant to be.
