The First Easter

Rate this book
In the story of The First Easter, as in the story of The First Christmas, there is much that is hard to understand, but if we review somewhat the Blessed Life of Jesus, we shall better appreciate the glorious significance of the day.
Jesus had passed through His human life, everywhere uttering words of pity, and stretching out hands of mercy. To suffer was to have a claim upon Him. He had not used His supernatural powers for His own benefit, but for the good of others. He employed them freely, helping, comforting, healing, blessing, wherever He went.
Come experience the journey of Jesus last days on earth. Experience the Glorious resurrection marking the 1st Easter.
In this beautifully illustrated novel from J. H. WILLARD walk with Jesus as he Comforts and Heals the sick, performs the sermon on the mount, rose Lazarus from the dead, was betrayed and captured and then crucified only to rise again on the third day.
The First Easter is a magnificent story to read with your children as well as people of all ages.

Enjoy and God Bless !

Good over view of Christ life

I thought this book gave a good over view of Christ's life. It is a short synopsis of some of the high points in Jesus's time on earth. I think it may be a good book for anyone getting to know who Jesus is and looking to give their life to Christ

Published in 1906, this short work gives a very basic explanation of the immediate events leading to the first Easter and Easter Day itself. This rudimentary work is a good base for future reading.

I found the following passage interesting:
