When Ridge Parkman comes across the body of a fellow U.S. Marshal, hung unceremoniously in a tree in the wilds of the Colorado Rockies, he knows he cannot rest until the murder of his friend is avenged. The trail of the murderers eventually leads him to a notorious outlaw strongholds, The Havens, where another marshal is being held captive and facing an ugly execution.
