My best friend’s little sister is the one woman I can’t have—but the only one I want.
Hiring Clara Evans as my nanny was never part of the plan.
The sharp-tongued redhead has been driving me crazy since we were kids and wrapped in a too-tempting smile.
She challenges me, pushes my buttons and sees through my defenses.
And worse, she’s living right next door.
But when a business crisis leaves me desperate, I have no choice but to ask for her help.
Now she’s in my house, making my son laugh when I barely remember how.
Chipping away at the walls I’ve spent years building.
She doesn’t know the past I’ve buried under my wealth.
Or that she’s the only one who makes me forget how grumpy I am.
Right when I fall for her, my trusted business ally betrayed me.
And Clara is caught in the middle.
If this goes wrong, her brother, my closest friend, will never forgive me.
Nanny for the Grumpy Boss is a swoony, slow-burn sweet romance for fans of sweet billionaire and brother’s best friend romances. Packed with banter, heart-melting moments, and forbidden feelings—minus the steam, all the feels.
The beginning of the book had me hopeful. I like the playful banter but then it just became a book of thoughts and looks and a crisis at his work that really didn’t make any sense to me because his job is cyber security yet he doesn’t know what’s going on in his own company. The writing made the storyline drawn out and undoing skipped whole chapters because it was a repeat of what’s already said just worded differently.

Celia Zayne gives her readers a super cute story bringing two people back together who have known each other since childhood. Her newest clean romance focuses on Grayson and Clara and their second chance at love.
Reading about Grayson and Clara was enjoyable and fun. Grayson is all business, except when it comes to his son Theo. Needing some extra help, his best friend’s sister seems like the perfect fit. Giving Grayson the help he needs and the woman figure Theo has been missing in his life, Clara truly does slide into her role easily.
As she spends time with Theo, she of course finds herself in close proximity to Grayson. These two have known each other for a long time, bickering like brother and sister, but the feelings they are both experiencing now are definitely not brother and sister like. I loved watching them grow closer and fall for each other. Even moreso, I adored watching Clara and Theo grow closer and closer.
Celia gives us romance, sizzling heat with sweet kisses, and even a dash of mystery to keep the intrigue throughout the story. A quick, but good read.
As always, review any author notes before reading.

This book left me with more questions than answers. The plot had potential but it seemed to get lost under the desire for drama and big reveals.
Nanny for the Grumpy Boss is supposed to be about Grayson Stone and Clara Evans falling in love, in the midst of a crisis in Grayson's company all while Clara has stepped in as a nanny for his son. While this book does have those elements in some capacity, the development was lacking, with plot inconsistencies and a flow that was hard to keep pace with.
The book reads more as a story of Grayson trying to get a handle on his company and balancing his life with a side of slight romance. Clara's relationship with Grayson felt like it was swept under the rug. It was underdeveloped, overshadowed by other events then followed by some kind of big admission, and even with those admissions it feels like it went nowhere only to repeat the cycle. Even just the time that she spent as a nanny seemed to be brushed over, we don't see how her relationship with Grayson's son develops to what it is, just brief descriptions of the days that passed.
Grayson and Clara were delightful to get to know. First off is Grayson, our grumpy mmc who is Clara's brother's best friend. These two have known each other since childhood and bickering just as long! There is a seriousness surrounding Grayson except when he interacts with his son, Theo. He just made my heart melt as he went into daddy mode and then also into protector mode. Clara is super sweet and creative and can give as good as she gets when it comes to banter. She is fierce in her loyalty and support. These two were awesome to watch as they battled trials and tried to protect each other and Theo. This book kept me up reading until the early morning hours. I just couldn't put it down. You will love it!
Clara, coming to stay with her brother for a few months, gets complicated by his best friend, Grayson, living next door. She thinks of him as the one who tormented her. She is asked to fill in for Grayson's son's nanny when she can't come and he is called in for an emergency board meeting. Theo and Clara bond immediately, and she continues to care for him. The three months she planned to stay turns into six months as she gets involved in a crisis at Grayson's company. Both feel their friendship becoming something more. But both are afraid to say it. This is a story of two people with complicated backgrounds who find they are better together. It's a sweet story of second chances.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. Grayson isn’t happy when his best friend’s sister, Clara, moves in next door, but he has no idea what is in store for him. His son manages to run off another caregiver and has attached himself to Clara. Having to as for her help is galling enough but when his son is so happy with her, what is he to do but to “temporarily” hire her to care for him. Soon she’s not only having fun adventures with Theo, but she’s able to handle his moods. This is a fun story that will have you alternating between laughing and shaking your head at Grayson’s cluelessness.
I love Grayson and Clara. Watching them grow into the little family was such a cute story to follow. Seeing Clara step in and be the mom that Theo needed was also cute. Even though Grayson was such a grump and was hard to get along with most days but Clara was able to stick with it and be there for them. I would recommend this book for others to read! So happy for others to read this cute adorable book.
Mystery conspiracy with a full on second chance at love for Grayson and Clara. Theo is the cutey that binds the story together but what is going on at the office.... read it to find out. The girl next door comes into his life to awaken the feelings that have been dead a long time.

Oh boy! It’s been a while since I’ve read a true stinker. The plot was hard to find. While the main characters feeling shifted, my interest faded. Two stars may be generous.
