FIRST ~ This is a collection of full length novels. They are all strong, wonderful romances, often with a touch of mystery.
Each novel has similar characters: a strong hero with unique susceptibilities, a heroine with strengths that are frequently unknown, even to the lady herself.
The supporting characters always include a villian, although the actual evilness of the character varies from unredeemable to easily fixed (indeed, some of the villians could easily re-appear as heros!).
Additional supporting characters include family and staff, as well as friends.
All in all, since there are no "bad" stories - this collection was a win-win-win...however many stories - situation.

What a fantastic book package! I must admit that I have already read most of the stories in this bundle - all of which I loved!
The great thing about each of these authors is that they have a distinct flare to their writing, so there is no getting 'muddled up' in the story lines after reading each book.
In Jerrica Knight-Catanias 'More than a governess' you have a fantastic story, based around tragic events that lead the heroine to take up a position as a governess. the story had great pace and I just love "seeing" familiar faces pop up from previous stories in this series, though it is a fantastic book as a standalone.
In Ava Stones 'A Scandalous Past' you are taken on a journey with Cordelia, who after seeing her friend find love and happiness with a man know for being a Rake in the past, has decided that she wants to find herself a Rake to find her happily ever after, the only problem is, she has increasing feelings for someone who does not fit her criteria.
In Rose Gordons 'His Jilted Bride' you are reunited with the Banks family, with this story centering around Elijah and his childhood neighbor Amelia. after watching Amelia be jilted at the alter, Elijah decides to take matters into his own hands and Marry her himself.

WOW! Loved it! Who does not enjoy not one but nine amazing authors, all in one fabulous boxed set! If you love Regency Romance, I would highly recommend this collection. While, one or two where new to me authors, most were not! Each title, is unique in their way, by unique and wonderful storytellers. Well written, with engaging characters and wickedly delicious heroes!

I have to do a mild review here on good reads as I usually do my reviews on Amazon...but Amazon no longer has this book on the market...so I would say, this book has a mix bag of good stories. My favorite has to be "My Lady Of Deception" by Christi Caldwell...I like Markham and his love for Georgina...I just wish she could have been more honest with him...you could really tell that he loved her. Ava Stone "A Scandalous Past" was also a good read but you would have to read "A Scandalous Wife" before because they both go hand in hand...and You can't ever go wrong with Rose Gordon in my opinion..."His Jilted Bride" was also one of my favorites.

It has taken me ages to read this set of books. The reason being you come to one you cannot get into it, and you keep trying. On the whole most of them are good stories, and deserve to be read!

I can only give this anthology 3 stars. There were several book that I enjoyed. I love Rose Gordon, so that was a win. However there were several books withing this box set that I just couldn't make myself read. The writing was so bad. The characters...terrible. I just couldn't slog through:
Ava Stone's A Scandalous Past: I couldn't get past the protagonist in this one. She irritated me to no end. I don not recommend.
Rose Gordon's His Jilted Bride: Always a good read. Highly recommend.
Jerrica Knight-Catania's More than a Governess: I've read a few of the other books in tis series. Nice to see it go on and remember other beloved characters. Good read.
Catherine Gayle's Twice a Rake: this book was okay, but not up to par with Gayle's other works.
Deb Marlowe's The Love List: I enjoyed this book. There was more to this than a typical historical romance. I loved the added depth.
Julie Johnstone's Bargaining with a Rake: This book was okay, but not good enough to search out other books by this author.
Claudia Dain's Much Ado About Dutton: I couldn't even finish this book. I don't think I even made it through chapter 2. I do not recommend.
Jane Charles's A Reluctant Rake: Couldn't finish this one. Hated the characters.
Christi Caldwell's My Lady of Deception: Poor editing. Finished, but wouldn't recommend.

I couldn't finish this yet, and am setting it aside to finish at some later date. I prefer more realistic regency stories - the characters and situations in this anthology seem to be just 'back-dated' chick flick stories, with little connection to the actual regency period culture.

Well worth purchasing!
Good collection of historical romances including many of my favorite authors. A couple of these I had read previously and delighted in reacquainting myself with the characters. The perfect set to curl up with for a long weekend.

This is a collection of full length novels. My Lady of Deception by Christi Caldwell was wonderfully written.
