My first read by Suzanne Halliday was a decent one! It was definitely a HOT one! Wilde Forever is book one in Halliday's series following the three Wilde sisters as they navigate through life.

Brynn Wilde is the oldest sister, a Type A gal focused on work and making her family's bakery and tea-room her main focus after a failed marriage. She is strong and determined to live her own life all while fighting the family's push for her to experience more. She even has a feisty grandmother dropping bombs on her such as a "marriage clause" in order to maintain the deed to her business. NO WAY, this woman has sworn off relationships!

Enter Jackson Merrill, ex military man, on a mission to fulfill his father's demand to help and old friend. His mission puts him in Brynn Wilde's bakery and while her "sinful buns" are definitely to die for, she is not so easy to resist herself! While this man may be all alpha, he will have quite a bit of work cut out for him...or will he?

This relationship is fast but fun. It is quite predictable but nonetheless good. Both Brynn and Jax have some protective walls up but they have no problem when it comes to intimacy. This read is wowzers hot with both blushing dirty talk and the action to back it up. I like Brynn a lot...she was strong and sweet and determined. She also let go and took and gave as needed. I did struggle a bit with Jax. His coming to town was a great spark for Brynn. He was strong and powerful with a hint of danger but he was a bit sugary sweet. Yes, he delivered the heat and the dirtiest of talk, but he also had a bit of overly sweet talk that just isn't my cup of tea! The "love" and the "sweets" and the inner workings of his mind made a lot of that demanding bedroom activity seem pointless. That rough demanding sex doesn't seem so hot after he starts apologizing! Own it man!!! Brynn definitely didn't complain!

I am looking forward to the next book in Series as Rhianna and the dark, corporate Liam as he maybe just the right kind of jerk I like!!!

Absolutely love Suzanne's book. Amazing story teller. Have yet to read a book by this lady that I have not fallen in love with.Absolutely love Suzanne's book. Amazing story teller.

When our lead male Jax arrives you are instantly hooked, this man has Alpha all over him. Ex-military, still suffering the effects of the war and living with PTSD. When he meets our lead Brynn you can feel the intense chemistry that simmers with them both.

The story flowed, moved at a quick pace and had you engaged from start to finish.
A must read.

Wilde Forever was a book that I absolutely loved every freaking aspect of whole heartedly. Though that didn’t surprise me one bit since every book I’ve read by Suzanne Halliday has hit it out of the damn park. This author’s books are phenomenal with a capital P, and I heart her characters and books something fierce.

They’ve just got a certain magic to them that I simply cannot resist. And let’s be honest, who would ever want to resist pure unadulterated magic between the pages of a book? (The answer to that question is no one, in case you were wondering.)

Wilde Forever begins with a vibrant and highly enchanting opening in which you meet the Baron-Wilde clan and all their amazingness. I was on about page 1 and a half of the prologue when I KNEW this book was going to be a 5 star read for me. Those characters just sucked me in like a hoover vacuum cleaner. Literally.

The remainder of the story that flowed between those pages had me falling in love more with every word, and I couldn’t get enough of this story, its characters, and its overall magnificence on the page.

What I simply adored about this book:

Brynn’s got some chutzpah. Brynn is a strong female who is extremely determined, and she doesn’t give up for anything. Some may call that stubborn. I call it being fantastic and real. I loved that she was sassy as all get out, and the sarcasm flowing from her mouth was beyond fabulous. The thing though that stands out most about Brynn is her tenacity and strength in every situation. That girl is stronger than I could ever imagine, and she is a force to be reckoned with. It was such an outstanding delight to read a strong and independent female with one hell of a charming and fierce personality. Like I said, that girl has some chutzpah, and you will absolutely adore her for that.

Jax and his fiercely protective ass. Jax has a fierce and heartfelt protectiveness towards Brynn. You feel this in the way he looks at her, the way he thinks of her, and the way he acts towards her. It just warms your heart, and exemplifies how good of a guy he is. Even in those moments of darkness and pain he has, this light and goodness shines from him. Jax also feels with all he’s got. He puts it all out there, and is unapologetic for that, which practically made me swoon for him. He’s also got a lovely little dirty mouth on him that had me wanting to climb him like a tree. Basically: I LOVED Jax.

Jax and Brynn have an instant and heartfelt connection that just drew me in. Their initial meeting is highly memorable, and you will feel how deep their feelings for one another are immensely. It also helps that they have chemistry out the yin yang, and their banter will have you cracking a smile on just about every other page. All of that combines to make an insanely amazing connection you will feel in your bones. Jax and Brynn both have a spark about them, and when that spark comes together with them, it skyrockets off the page. You feel that spark in what they’re saying, in their innuendo, in the looks they give, in everything. The spark between them makes for some pretty awesome heat that’ll have you searching for a fan, while also exemplifying what it means to feel that “spark” with someone.

There is an immediate sense of family in this book that continues to weave its way beautifully throughout the entire book. (And in any of Suzanne Halliday’s books for that matter.) Her books truly shine in this respect. You feel the love and care these characters have for one another, and that is just magnificent. Even though this book isn’t necessarily about them, you will get to know them too through this story, and you will love every encounter you have with them. They are highly memorable in their own unique way (cough, Nana, cough), and they help make this book exceptional.

The moments of vulnerability. These moments will take your breath away. There are moments for both Jax and Brynn when they both put all their vulnerabilities on the table. All their emotions, fears, thoughts, doubts, and everything else in between. Those moments show them at their best and not so best, but will have you feeling for them both immensely. They’re going to speed your heart up, melt your heart in the same instant, and put you back together again before all is said and done. The level of vulnerability from these characters is exceptional.

The authenticity of the events, feelings, and emotions in this book was wonderful. It all just felt so real, and Suzanne Halliday creates a world that is so easy to sink right into. You will feel as if you know these characters personally while reading, and their story is so utterly believable for who they are and what they go through. The realness of these characters and story make it simply easy to connect with every aspect of the book.

This book has so many emotions and feelings weaving their way through it. At times this book is funny, sexy and hot as hell, and full of emotion and vulnerability at others. These characters experience it all, and their feelings that you will feel yourself are just astounding in the way they come across on the page. These feels will have you feeling for them, connecting with them, and you’ll just want to reach in and hug them both because of the level with which they feel.

I like books that make characters fight for the happiness they so rightfully deserve. This book was no different. Jax and Brynn have both been through hell and back in situations that are wholly their own. They come together and have a remarkable connection, but then have to figure out where to go from there. They have to fight for that happy together that they so truly deserve and want. Reading how they go about that fight is the reason why reading this book was such a magnificent and unforgettable reading experience.

This is just the beginning for both Jax and Brynn and their families that make some unforgettable appearances, and I know that I am going to love every additional book to the world Suzanne Halliday has created in Wilde Forever. It is truly exceptional to read a book where you’re fully invested with the characters you are currently reading while also having a strong connection to characters you’ve really yet to meet. That’s powerful, and speaks to the wonderful and unforgettable characters thoughtfully crafted within Suzanne Halliday’s books.

Clearly I could continue on about this book, but I’m going to try and reign it in a smidge. But just a smidge, because I absolutely enjoyed every single aspect of this highly engaging book. There wasn’t one thing I didn’t like, and this book is just another example of Suzanne Halliday’s fantastic writing and character creation.

I am really coming to find that reading a book by Suzanne Halliday is like coming home. The characters in the story just envelop you with their warmth, care, love, humor, fun, and everything else in between. They just make you realize why reading an honest to God good book is all it’s cracked up to be. I promise you that if you read any one of her books, but especially Wilde Forever, you will feel like you’re coming home. The book and its characters will capture you in, and they won’t ever really let you go. That doesn’t often happen when you read, so take that as a sign that this book at its foundation is truly exceptional in every way.

Remember that. Feel that. And cherish that feeling you’ll have after reading this outstanding book.

"You're in for a bumpy ride my sexy baker, Feel free to scream as loud as you want. It'll only make me fuck you harder."

Yupp...I enjoyed reading this book. We definitely have a hawt, strong alpha male here.

This book is about Brynn Baron-Wilde who has been through a crappy marriage and is not looking for another man in her life. She owns a bakery and just doesn't want or need a man because in her mind, men were entirely too much trouble.

That was until Jax Merrill walked in to Brynn's bakery and into her life and shook her world up. Jax is a former Army Medic and now he is a talented preservation and renovation specialist.

He’s a bit on the dented and dinged side after his military service and she’s dealing with a stealth attack from her grandmother who’s added manipulative clauses to her will that threaten Brynn’s hold on her house and business.

I will confess it did take me a little bit to really get going on the story. Some parts of the book seemed a little wordy, like telling the story in her point of view, then his point of view and then maybe a third persons point of view. After I got over that style of writing, I really enjoyed this story and Jax and Brynn's story had its ups and downs, I suppose like all the romance books you read about. But it was a lot of fun with Jax going all alpha male on Brynn. OMG I loved the scene where she is undressing in front of the window while she knows he is watching and he goes all crazy on her ass.. lol I also liked Brynn's sisters, they added some fun and sillyness to the book that made it fun to read.

Sometimes fate and destiny have a sense of humor along with some questionable timing. Are these two destined to be together or will her reluctance and his issues keep them apart? When a stunning turn of events complicates things even more, things sure do get interesting – meddling parents and all.

Make sure you add Wilde Forever to your to be read..You will really enjoy it :)

I gave this book 4 Smooches

Jackson will make you wild!!!!!

Jackson Merrill was your all American boy, he had it all going for him, he was smart, good looking, wanted to be a doctor. Of course he joins the military after 9/11 – that’s what an all American boy would do?! Unfortunately, he comes back broken and his whole life changes.

Brynn Baron-Wilde is a really smart girl who comes from a very well to do family and thinks she has it all figured out. That is, until her jerk of a husband shows her otherwise and she has to start all over.

These two were great together. Brynn is sassy, independent and beautiful and Jax is hot and dominating. They both have some serious issues, but Ms. Halliday brings them together and helps them heal each other and in the process brings you a great story.

This story has a little of everything, swoon worthy alpha, heroine that isn’t a door mat, lol moments and melt your kindle hot sex scenes….

“Suppose you’ll be texting your sister… Brynn seemed surprised… Why? … Make sure to let her know you got your wish and gave the Butt Whacker a memorable blow job that will keep him hard and aching for you the rest of the day”

I really enjoyed getting to know the main characters as well as all the side characters. This was my first read of Suzanne Halliday’s, but it certainly won’t be my last.

Review for Wilde Forever (Wilde Women #1) by Suzanne Halliday

Review done for Hooked on Books

4 ½ stars out of 5

Brynn Baron Wilde is a single, successful businesswoman. She is divorced from her cheating, douchebag husband and does not believe in HEA anymore. She spends all her time working at her bakery.

Jackson Merrill has his life all planned out, or so he thought. After his tour as an Army medic, Jax could not go through with his plans to become a doctor. He is now a renovation specialist.

When their parents do some intervening, sparks fly when these two meet. They both are immediately attracted to one another.

Brynn fights her feelings because she is scared to love again. Jax does everything in his power to show her that he loves her.

HOT, HOT, HOT… that is how these sex scenes are. The author has written some of the best sex scenes I have read in a long time.

Jax is super sexy. Dominating and always in control, his dirty mouth will have you swooning in no time.

This story was fantastic, but just a little too long. I cannot wait to read book 2, which is about Brynn’s sister Rhiann.

I can hardly believe I'm saying this, but this one would have been better without so many sex scenes. I love reading smutty books, but this time around it seemed like some of the sex got in the way of the story, it was more "see how hot the sex is, this couple is perfect". I liked the quieter scenes when both Jax and Brynn talked about their issues, how they would freak out then come back to talk some more. I loved it when Jax was there for Brynn when she went off on her grandmother, who quite frankly deserve it. It's too bad that Jax couldn't trust Brynn when his issues blew up. I loved how Jax's mother first ripped him a new one, then went undercover to see Brynn and help her see things.

I loved seeing Brynn and her sister go crazy and support each other and look forward to seeing Rhiann face her past in the next book.

ho hum

This book was long winded. It was over written for sure. Inner monologues were done way too much, entire chapters? There was zero relationship building, just sex to sex to sex scenes. Instalove was unbelievable, had no foundation.
It made zero sense for Brynn’s ex-husband to be showing up at her house with her cousin. It’s been four years since they divorced. She and her cousin never hung out, there was no reason for her ex-husband to be involved. It very much was just dumped in for drama sake and it did not even fit. At all. Should’ve just left it with the cousin.
Max up and disappeared and received no backlash from Brynne? He was gone for near 3 weeks with no contact and she just accepts that? Because his mother visited her? Ridiculous.
Skimming and skipping is only way I made it to the end. Not interested in reading the sisters stories.

In theory, the plot is good. In practice, it wasn’t as good.
I feel like the author wanted to jam every single trope in there. Never thought I would say this but there were far too many smutty scenes. I found myself skipping over them.

Also, somewhere in the middle of the book, pronouns just started falling off the face of the earth. So many sentences started with the verb. It drove me nuts !!
There were a few grammar mistakes as well but nothing dramatic.

I’ll read the next books only because I hate to leave a series unfinished.

The story of Jackson and Brynn was a good one. But I thought it was too long. There were a lot of scenes that could have been shortened. Jackson came back from the military with PTSD and has a lot of trouble keeping it secure. He is working as a restoration man who helps people put their places back together. His father is friends with Brynn's and send him to her to help her fix her home up. They both fall in love with each other, but drama does happen. The book was good and I am looking forward to reading the next one in the series.

Wilde Forever is book one in the all new series Wilde Women featuring the stories of three sisters and their meddling family. This is my first book by Suzanne Halliday, and I'm an instant fan. Her characters are engaging, the story line attention-grabbing, and the sizzle enough to trigger a hot flash.

Summary:
Brynn Baron-Wilde has sworn off men. After a brutal divorce, she is ready to get on with her new life in an upstate touristy town, and make her bakery and tearoom a success. With a firm plan in her mind about the direction of her business, located on her grandparents' estate, and the renovations she'd need for the house, Brynn has no time for distractions. Suddenly, her life is turned on it's head and full of distractions. Fed up with her eldest granddaughters lack of a social life and unwavering attention to business, Brynn's grandmother and the Baron-Wilde matriarch, takes it upon herself to instigate a little nudge in the marital direction. Much to Brynn's horror, her grandmother added some manipulative and repugnant clauses to her will that could cost Brynn her home and business. To make matters worse, an impossibly sexy and talented renovation expert has just charged into her well-ordered life and proceeded to shake it up even more. Jackson Merrill is on the road to recovery after surviving and retiring from being an army medic. Once he had a successful career as a doctor mapped out, but those dreams were quickly dashed after seeing the horrors and heartaches of war. Now, he finds joy and peace as a renovation specialist. Jax isn't looking for a relationship after a disastrous end to his engagement, but after meeting Brynn the sizzling attraction is hard to ignore. Despite their obvious sexual compatibility and undeniable connection, nothing is easy for Jax and Brynn. Brynn still carries scars from her previous experience, and Jax still struggles with having been to war and re-joining the civilian world. Are Jax and Brynn in the good graces of fate and destiny or will personal issues succeed in tearing them apart. With a surprise turn of event thrown in the mix, and two sets of meddling parents, Jax and Brynn's Wilde ride just got more complicated.

I picked this book up on a recommendation from a fellow reader, and I loved it! Brynn was so feisty and independent, but also sweet, loving, loyal, and a great big sister. I connected with her right away, and I was rooting for her throughout, especially after learning of her ugly divorce. The bond between the sisters was something else. Their love for one another leapt off the page. Jax was absolutely swoon-worthy. If you didn't already fall for the very sexy handyman right from the start, you definitely will after hearing of his time at war. It touches you so deeply. PTSD is a very serious condition, and the author handled the description and reactions to events with respect and care. The way Jax was with Brynn totally blew me away. I loved it. They were sweet, sexy, and enviable. I loved the Baron-Wilde family, getting to know some of them, learning of their hi jinks, it was all fantastic. I cannot wait for book two, Rhiann's story. I've also decided to go back and read her Justice Brothers series. Get this book! Now. <3

I ABSLOUTELY loved this book and savored this beautiful story page by page. I really wanted the story to keep going.

Best Suzanne Halliday Book so far for me.

This book was such a refreshing read. It was hilarious the burping contest had me laughing so hard! I loved that this was a dual POV book. It made the book so much better to get into the mind of Jackson Merrill. He was so swoon worthy, dirty-mouthed and delicious. Definitely one of my new favorite book boyfriends.

Jackson is a war vet with PTSD issues. He meets Brynn Baron-Wylde and is captivated instantly. Brynn has other ideas. I love Brynn she is strong and takes no junk off anyone but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have some baggage that our lovely Jackson must weed through. Jackson is on HOT alpha male that like to be in control. Brynn likes to be in control as well.

This is one hot/steamy book. The love scenes in this are off the scorching charts. Fogged up my glasses steamy! Suzanne’s writing makes you feel as though you are right in the room with Jax and Brynn. Beautifully descriptive!

As we trudge through all the baggage this couple is carrying we see a beautiful love develop and a whole lot of healing by both parties. You watch a transformation of two souls into one. What more can I say but I would put this on my re-read list for a couple more go-arounds.

I read Suzanne Halliday’s Justice Brother’s series and loved it but this book tops all of those books for me. I am a huge Halliday fan!!! Read this book and her others you will not be disappointed. Her men are hot and the love stories so fulfilling.

My Favorite Quotes:

When she fell apart he was overcome by a sense of deep fear that he might have hurt her with his runaway passion. – Jax

“I’m not going to pretend with you, baby. I want to f*** your body, yes. But I also need to f*** your mind.” – Jax

“Would it be alright if I uh, held you in my hand as I fall asleep?” “Jesus Brynn. I’m all yours. Hold me. Kick me. Bite me. Whatever you want.”

She was the light shinning in the shadows of his soul. – Jax

Jax swore that the pieces of his heart and soul that had been ripped apart were stitched back together by the power of her remarkable love.

“If I used thick-headed language last nigh, let me make things crystal clear to you right now. Me? Hopelessly, helplessly in love with you.” – Jax

“To you, my love. And to f****** the s*** out of your inner slut while I think of you as the Queen of my heart.” - Jax

Suzanne Halliday has done it again. Her incredible talent at writing believable characters and plausible storylines - has sucked me right in. Rather than reading a book, I feel as though I spent time visiting with friends and catching up on their lives.

Brynne Baron-Wilde has had a tough go in the relationship department. A failed marriage that has finalized her ideals of relationships in an "I don't need a man" approach on life and has scratched out the lenses of any "rose-colored glasses" when it comes to love. She's the eldest of three sisters and is the self-appointed "task master". In her mind, there is a list to detail everything. She's made a success of her bakery and tea room and life is going perfectly until her grandmother changes the rules.

It was common knowledge that Brynne would eventually inherit the family property that her business and home resided on, but her grandmother decided that she needed a man and introduced a marriage clause into her will. If Brynne wasn't married at the time of her grandmother's passing, her cousin will inherit the property.

On top of this, family matchmaking (by way of old friendships) send Jackson "Jax" Merritt to her door. Jax, a former Army medic with PTSD issues and a renovation guru, has been sent on his father request to offer advice to his old college buddy's child. His relationship past isn't any better. His former fiance only dreamed of being the doctor's wife. When his stint with the army was over, Jax decided the life of medicine wasn't for him and the engagement was called off. He is your quintessential alpha male and "sir" knows just what he wants... Brynne.

What ensues is pure genius! When Brynne and Jax meet for the first time, you know that (as a reader) the road isn't going to be easy for them - but you're so down for the ride!

I love the verbal sparring and initial struggle for the upper hand between these two. The writing is pure magic. Brynne's character is the perfect blend of assertiveness with a submissive side that reaches to Jax's dominant persona. I cannot wait for the continuation of the family's story.

Wilde Forever is the first Suzanne Halliday book I have read and it won't be the last!

From the first chapter when she introduced the family I started to fall in love with them! And although the book was very detailed and at points I was thinking I could do without all this, in the end it was great having the same scenes from Brynn, Jax, and sometimes other characters points of view. This had to be tough for Ms Halliday to write in the fashion she did but what a great job!

Brynn is the oldest of three sisters. She's the one who is by the book, does what has to be done believes in rules and proprieties at all times while her little sisters are the romantic and gypsy souls. Brynn is the Type A, does what she is supposed to do big sister. Someone needs something, Brynn is there whether it's friends, family or strangers. She has a heart of gold and just wants to do the right thing and even went as far as having the career and marrying the person she thought she was supposed too. And boy did that backfire on her! When we meet Brynn she has been through a loveless marriage, crappy divorce and even quit her job and moved to the family land to open a Bakery. She has everything in control until her Grandmother - the matriarch of the family - throws a kink in her plans.

Jackson - Jax - is the epitome of strong Alpha male. He served the country in war for years and has the mental scars to prove it. After being engaged to a woman that he was with because he thought he should be he got home from war and she couldn't deal so they split. He now has a successful restoration business and when his father sends him to do a 'favor' for a friend he shows up on Brynn's door step and couldn't resist her "sinful Buns" - cinnamon rolls that is - where is your mind!

Will these two strong controlling people fight it out or ignite and burn? You have got to read it to find out! I'm telling you I wasn't expecting this! I am already anxious for book 2 after that short epilogue!

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest opinions.
