Il libro è semplice e vale la pena leggerlo. Fra le pagine si possano trovare cose interessanti: trattandosi di biografia, il testo scritto ripercorre il lato più umano (nel senso di
sentimento
) di Albert Einstein. E' stata descritta una parte della sua esistenza che evidenzia che la vita medesima del Premio Nobel non è stata fatta solo di numeri ed equazioni.

October 13, 2016Einstein was a genius, but his problems were very similar to that of ours. He cared for people around him,but also contradicted people around him. Historical events: off-course they were events in Einstein's life . How he responded to it ? wether they changed his course ? ...The Book records expressions and inclinations of Einstein. It is a good read. Narration in chunky blocks is some how interesting.

Un libro che si intitola "Il lato umano" e sembra essere stato scritto da Albert Einstein? Incuriosisce, anzi, a dire la verità è quasi irresistibile.
Einstein è una figura affascinante, un archetipo del genio dell'uomo moderno. E leggere della sua vita nei giorni in cui la relatività ristretta è stata scoperta inesatta è conturbante.
Il libro non è stato scritto da Albert Einstein, e questa è la prima delusione. Sono solo pagine di diario, stralci di lettere e articoli contestualizzati da Helen Dukas e Banesh Hoffman.
La seconda delusione è che non ha nè capo nè coda, va cronologicamente a sbalzi, non ha un filo logico. Le citazioni non sono nemmeno divise per argomenti, vengono lanciate nella mischia con tre righe di spiegazione.
E pretenderebbero di svelare il lato umano di Einstein.
Non perdete tempo ad acquistarlo, piuttosto spulciatevi Albert Einstein su Wikiquote.

Although it is not well ordered cronologically and make me feel like reading some random letter, you can easily understand his perspective about life, world and universe. If you know a lot about him already, this book may seem quite simple but there are still good points to read apart from clichés when we talk about him. Einstein is not a simple scientist for sure. He is also one of the best maybe just the best philosoph of 20.century. Inspite of this, he is completely decent and fair person as well. It can be easily seen also in this book. I find worth to read especially the letters which were written in the period of increasing power and pressure of national socialists

Interesting perspective into Einstein, but not a great layout. The letters are not topically organized so there's no flow to the book. And they were only segments from the letters, so it further disrupted the flow. There were only a few notable quotes in the whole book from a life that is utterly fascinating. Not the best read, but Einstein is so fantastic that it's hard to not recommend at least browsing this book.

August 3, 2015ผมชอบวิธีคิดของไอสไตน์ เพราะตั้งอยู่บนพื้นฐานของความจริงแท้ที่ไม่แปรผัน เขาคืออัจฉริยภาพในหมู่มนุษย์ด้านวัตถุที่เป็นสสารทั้งปวง แล้วที่น่าสนใจไปกว่าสิ่งใดก็คือ เขาทิ้งบทความอันหนึ่งไว้ให้แก่มนุษย์ในโลกได้ฉุกคิด และเกี่ยวข้องกับ "พระพุทธเจ้า" อย่างน่าสนใจ แน่นอน..ไอสไตน์เขายังคงต้องการทำความรู้ที่เกี่ยวกับพระพุทธเจ้าพระองค์นี้ให้ปรากฏ แต่ว่าเวลาของเขาเหลืออยู่น้อยมาก เขาจึงฝากบทความในหนังสือเล่มนี้เอาไว้ให้มนุษย์ในโลกนี้ได้ร่วมกันศึกษา คือ พระพุทธศาสนา นั่นเอง.

this is an incredible book. it does exactly what its title hints at: or shows Einstein as a full human being, with science as just one part of his identity; not his entire identity. the way in which he spoke out against oppression, acted with kindness and love towards everyone (dear friends, family, and strangers alike) sheds huge light on what it takes to actually be a figure that history cannot forget.

Einstein'ın nasıl bir kişiliği olduğuna dair çıkarımlar, bu kitapta bize sunulan mektupları vasıtasıyla daha iyi yapılabilir. Bu kitap sayesinde Einstein'ın daha çok 19. yüzyıl insanı olduğu ve 20. yüzyıla ayak uyduramadığını daha iyi anladım.
Çok renkli bir kişiliği olduğu da rahatlıkla anlaşılıyor. Son sayfalardaki saf ve iyi niyetli bir kız ile mektuplaşmasını çok güzel buldum.

Giờ mới biết là thời ấy, thuyết tương đối của Einstein ở Đức thì bị Nazi cho là có tính Do Thái và Cộng sản, có thể đầu độc những suối nguồn của nền khoa học Đức; ở Xô thì còn đang bị tranh luận xem rằng nó có phù hợp với Chủ nghĩa Duy vật Biện chứng, nền tảng triết học của Chủ nghĩa Mác, hay không =)))

Insomma... Una raccolta di lettere di Einstein che mettono in evidenza le doti di questo personaggio non da troppo tempo scomparso. Sicuramente curioso, però dal punto di vista più libresco, è giusto una mera raccolta senza una direzione precisa.

An interesting book. Easy to read a little and put down and pick up later. It does show a different side to Einstein that is good to know. He was a good person, encouraging those who wrote to him and explaining his point of view.

Như chính ông đã nói rằng, đam mê nghiên cứu khoa học nên tách rời với công việc mưu sinh, càng xa càng tốt, vì những công trình thực sự đến từ sự sáng tạo, thì không nên để nó bị kiềm kẹp khi đứng trước áp lực phải "công bố".
Einstein cho rằng giá trị thực sự của con người là nằm ở đạo đức. Và đúng như vậy, ngoài những công trình khoa học, ông còn dành cả cuộc đời để lên tiếng và đấu tranh cho quyền con người (thẳng thắn từ chối bằng tiến sĩ danh dự ở Đại học ... tại Mỹ vì trường đại học đó không chấp nhận người da đen; Phản đối Đức quốc xã với sự lãnh đạo của A. Ông chơi nhạc từ lúc 5 tuổi, có khả năng cảm nhận âm nhạc độc đáo và chơi đàn vĩ cầm rất giỏi. Ông thích chơi nhạc thính phòng, đặc biệt là các bản nhạc của Mozart và Beethoven.
Đời sống riêng tư của ông cũng nhiều khó khăn và đau khổ. Với tư cách là một con người, không phải là một vị Thánh như xã hội vẫn thường tung hô, ông cũng có những quan điểm cực đoan và không quá lý tưởng như truyền thông vẫn đề cao. Ông nhiều lần thẳng thắn rằng ông hoàn toàn không ưa gì sự phóng đại quá mức tầm vóc của một cá nhân, và ông muốn sống bình yên, tha thiết sống bình yên.
Einstein ăn vận giản dị, thậm chí luộm thuộm, và cũng đúng với cách ông đối nhân xử thế, cũng đơn giản và gần gũi. Nhưng ông cũng thừa nhận rằng ông có thể sống tốt trong biể n trời tung hô có, hạ bệ có... đều nhờ lá gan của mình. Interesting glimpses into Einstein's mind and moods. It was ironic to be drawing inspiration from writings he never intended to be analyzed and sometimes even said as much. His attitude about several subjects was straightforward and bold, and he was not afraid to reply to letters with truth.

Collection of (mostly) unpublished texts by Albert Einstein, which are more useful to shed light on his personality (in particular, on his sense of humour) than on his scientific work.
The texts (pieces of letters, short poems, notes, etc.) are divided into unnamed (why?!) and unnumbered (again: why?!) sections, according to their main topic (?), and introduced by some short notice and comment by the editors, without a clear order.
Some single texts are more better than the whole book itself; which is, however, quite interesting and fun.
After finishing to read it, I'd like to read much more from A.E.

Many exchanges of social pleasantries and lofty, idealistic utterances. Nonetheless I found what I initially sought: how a great mind retained his freedom from distractions with an unwavering devotion to his idealistic pursuits. Politics of today and yesterday are so transient. Ideals are not.

Çok enteresan; kitapta herhangi bir ara başlık, alt bölüm gibi bir şey yok. Doğrudan başlıyor ve bitiyor. Einstein’ın mektuplarından alıntılar, yazdığı ama göndermediği notlar, küçük notlar, yazılı olan ve Einstein’ın düşünce dünyasını yansıtan notlar, kendi kaleminden anekdotlar.
