If one respects the fact that this series is aimed at young people (young enough to need things like "geometry" and "Fascism" defined for them) then I think this is quite a good little book. It's short and inevitably superficial but I'm not sure how it could be anything else considering the intended audience. Nevertheless it gives an insight into Einstein's character and at least an indication of the significance of some of his work.

This book is a biography about Albert Einstein. It goes through his life from when he was a young boy to after his death. Some things that you might not know is that as a young boy he was very quiet and had lots of temper tantrums. Also he hated school, but a college student gave him science books and he loved them. Einstein hated Germany and decided to go to the Swiss Polytechnic. ON his first try he didn't get in, but they told him to enroll in a local high school. The next year he got into the Polytechnic. Once he graduated from the Polytechnic he tried for his PhD. He was declined multiple times,but finally got it. Einstein is most famous for his Theory of Relativity (3=mc2). In one year he published 5 papers. Einstein was a pacifist (someone who believes in peace). He thought war was wrong, but later in his life (during WWII) he stated that some wars were necessary (WWII). During WWII Einstein moved to the USA to get away from the Nazi's. Albert Einstein helped the world understand science better. Without him our world wouldn't be the same. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to read about Einstein and his life in a quick book.

Albert Einstein's life story from his birth to his death is thoroughly told and well documented in this biography written by Frieda Wishinsky. It is so thorough that it starts and the day he was born and has every life achievement or tragedy in Albert's life until the day he died.
The difference Culturally from America is when Albert was a young man he had severe anger issues. That, back then was considered the fault of the parents not disciplining the child enough. His parents didn't take him to counseling instead they simply tried to force this behavior out of him. In America parents would seek help from councilors from school and also doctors to help their child.
The authors purpose for writing this was purely her job. She is known around the world for her educational books and has won many awards. She wrote this book as an educational book, for students to learn more about Albert Einstein. I know this because there is a short paragraph on the last page of the book that describes the Author and her works of literature.
The theme of the text is Albert Einstein's life. I know this because it is a biography about his life's accomplishments and his very life itself.
I would recommend this text to anyone and everyone! not only is it interesting but it provides insights to his life that many people never know about Albert. Also who doesn't like a good visual as their are plenty of pictures of places and people that were in Albert's life that go along with the books contents.

The book Albert Einstein by Frieda Wishinsky is a very detailed biography about the life if Albert Einstein and how he became the most famous theoretical scientist that ever lived. This book was very interesting and made me come up with questions like if being Jewish affected him at all. I think this is the best biography I have ever read and I liked it because I also want to either be a physicist or engineer when I grow up. I recommend this book to all who enjoy like biographies and science/physics.

This was an amazing biography on an even more amazing person of our history. Albert Einstein is a well-known scientist and great thinker, but after reading the book and learning what a family man and unsocial man he was, you learn how real he really was and you admire him more. This was a very well put together book, and Albert would be proud of this as a bio on him.
Surely a great book if studying in school, but also if you have an interest.

Albert Einstein by Frieda Wishinsky is a book about the life of the famous scientist Albert Einstein. Throughout this book there are many people that Albert both worked with and knew very well, and these people are discussed through the book. The biography starts off with the childhood of Albert and how it was very difficult for both him as well as his family. The book then goes on to talk about his school life and how he really excels in the classroom, and with his thoughts about scientific theories. Throughout this part it talks about how he moves from Germany to Italy, then to Switzerland. It talks about how he goes to college, and meets what will become his wife named Mileva. The book talks about his life a scientist, and all the work he did to benefit the science world. This is just a brief summary of what the book will talk about. I feel like one point the author could have touched on more is during the making of the atomic bomb, it never really went in depth about this, which would've been interesting. In general the I think the author should've talked more about his later life. Some of my favorite points throughout this biography is when he is at college, and when he is a child, because it really talks a lot about his thinking and the developments of his scientific theories. This book appealed to me in a logical way, because it is very interesting to learn about Albert Einstein, and about his life and what he did. I thought this book and biography was very good and interesting.

Albert Einstein's name is synonymous with genius, and rightfully so. What few know, however, is that as a young person he struggled with learning, and had trouble finding a stable means of securing a job as a teacher. Or, some quirkier tidbits like how he found socks to be useless, and irritating, so he did not wear them.

Some of these golden nuggets about Einstein were found in this book. This book is a go-to for a young person looking for accurate information for a report on Einstein. It is organized with pictures and neat text, which is easily accessible for middle-grade readers. However, for those looking for substantial information on the topic of Einstein the man, and his physics work, look elsewhere.

The lower rating is not for the content as much as for the editing. A later edition of this book would be ideal, as there are too many spelling errors and typos for them not to be noticed, and interfere with the reading of what would have been a great book for basic information on Einstein's life.

Contrast is Beauty.

The biography is one-sided which I did not like. Here should the last words of Einstein be included. He said "If I were to live again, I would never want to be a physicist". Moreover, his great discovery, the theory of relativity is still unclear in his biography. Furthermore, his habit to bathe for hours playing with bubbles is not written in this book.

So far while reading this book it has become even more interesting than I thought it would've been because it shows alot of facts about when he was a child through an adult and his experiences about something he had created or worked at .It shows how smart he was, how his personality was and at how hard he worked at something he wanted to achieve at.

This is the story of a great guy, a great scientist (Albert Einstein).It tells you everything about really.Like i bet you didn't know he played violin or that he was a bad student.Anyways that obviously didn't affect him in adulthood.If you wan to learn about h this is the book for you.

I thought this was great book and it really described how Albert Einsteins life was.He had a hard life and helped win world war 2.If you like biographies then I think you will like this book.I think that the author did a great job on all the parts of the book.

I read this book mainly because I am interested in how he became one of the most important scientists in the world and how he's able to think of so many things. This book is a great biography that starts with Albert Einstein as a baby to his death.

In the beginning, there were some descriptions of him. For example, one day at the age of 5, when he was sick, his dad brought him a campus; he was fascinated and curious about how it always points in one direction. He also thought about his sentences before actually saying them out. During his college times, he only took classes that enjoyed and skipped the classes that he disliked. Although he was smart and did good on the entrance exam and the first and second-year exams, he didn't try-hard for his finals and scored relatively lower than his previous exams. This biography also touched on many things that Einstein did in his life and how he worked with a lot of people.

I would recommend this text to everyone since this text is mainly aimed at an education level. It's a pretty informative book that's good to learn other people's lives from. I would also recommend people who enjoy science-related topics!

Some things that I liked about the book Albert Einstein by Frieda Wishinsky is all the information the book gives about what happened to Albert Einstein and the type of situations he was in. For example, it tells us that he was alive in World War 2 and that when he attended school he wasn’t the best student and oftened skipped classes. It also tells us about how his first child with his first wife either died when she was a baby or was set for adoption. It also tells us how Albert Einstein was always so caught up in his work that he couldn’t spend any time with his family and that he was always busy. It also tells us that Albert Einstein was always viewed as fun by his students and that Albert Einstein hated wars and he won the Nobel Prize in 1922. These are some things I liked about the book Albert Einstein by Frieda Wishinsky and I recommend this book to 6th graders and above.

This biography about Albert Einstein goes through his childhood all the way to after his death. The content, length, and word choice is definitely more for upper elementary, possibly middle grade. There are a total of 17 chapters, but it is not a very long book. There are also images throughout the book that oftentimes include captions or are otherwise related to the content on the page. The content does cover some difficult topics, especially related to WWII. There is a chapter about the Nazi party/Hitler, and words like "tranquility," the concept of McCarthyism and Communism, etc. make this biography most appropriate for older readers. I think this book accurately told the story of Albert Einstein and included details that are not normally talked about when you hear about Einstein. It is a very interesting book that I think students would enjoy as an independent read.

The reason why I gave this biography a 5 star rating because ever since I was in third grade I loved reading books based on the most famous Albert Einstein! BUT the main reason why I gave this book a 5 star rating is because in my opinion I love the fact that the author puts a bunch of pictures on every single page in the book so you can see how Albert and his family looked like in the past.I also liked how the author puts captions in the picture so it tells you whats going on in the picture.Last but not least,I like the fact that on the very last page of the book it has a time line of the MOST IMPORTANT events in Albert Einstein's life.Not all biographies have time lines in it.I highly recommend this for you to read!

I personally love reading about people like Einstein. History isn't for everyone, especially not for me, but inventors, geniuses, and people of the sort catch my attention. I personally love the fact that he is considered one of the smartest people throughout history, but dropped out of college as noted in the biography. He is one of the most important people in the history of the human race, creating the theory of general relativity, and also contributing to the creation of the atomic bomb. Although, his controbutions were indirect in the atomic bomb's creation.

It is strange to think about how a person's life can be captured in a book and much more so in a book that seems so short and simple. Although is anything but simple, this book captures a great part of a life, as this book’s content has been so complete. From the historical perspective it presents to the importance of Einstein's scientific advances and his human side. Through the photos and anecdotes I felt that I really managed to connect not only with the book but with the essence of Einstein.

I really enjoyed this biography of Albert Einstein. Before reading it, I didn’t know much about him, as just a person, and this book made me learn quite bit. I found it very interesting to go through his life, and learn about the different achievements he accomplished and decisions he made. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to learn more about Albert Einstein.

I never knew very much about Albert, so it was fun learning about the major aspects that had happened during when he was alive, like his contributions to the study of physics. I would say that the book is best for someone in 5-6th grade.

My second grader picked it out at the school library, but didn’t have enough interest to finish reading it. He’s more focused on the “who was” series-and this title has much more detail and was a little above his ability to concentrate.

I liked it as an easy read with enough information to satisfy my curiosity about Einstein.

It is an excellent book for a young. Reader, it is written in an easy to understand manner and explains other things going on in the world at the time. An area of improvement may be the discussion of world war two. The author seems to have some the timing and events a little confused. However, a great starter book for Einstein, or biographies in general.

Kind of basic. I'd recommend it to a middle schooler, it does a fine job injecting humanity into the nominally mythical atmosphere of Albert Einstein but it leaves a lot to be desired.
