The Story of Samantha Smith #1-3 Three full-length novels: Fearless, Reckless, and Painless
At the age of sixteen, Samantha Smith’s innocence was shattered in the blink of an eye. She kept the pain to herself for three years, burying her terrible secret beneath black clothes and black makeup, afraid to tell anyone. The price for her silence was the loss of her happiness and all of her friends.
After moving from stuffy Washington D.C. to laid back San Diego, where Samantha is now a freshman at San Diego University, she is determined to find new friends and reclaim her optimistic spirit. Having thrown away her goth exterior, she hopes that her new sunny look will heal her wounds.
Dreaming of adventure, she wishes to escape the humdrum middle-class existence that has repressed her fiery nature for as long as she can remember. But her parents are pressuring her to major in Accounting because it’s the safe thing to do. Samantha secretly considers ditching the business major to study Art, a choice that would horrify her parents if they ever found out.
When Samantha crosses paths with a troubled, handsome, tattoo-clad bad boy, her life spins into overdrive, and Samantha finds herself juggling more adventure than she ever dreamed possible.
What a great series, I didn’t want it to end !!! Christos and Samantha’s Love was so beautiful ❤️ The words that came out if Christos mouth had me melting !!! So many awesome characters in this series , I want to read more on all of them . I was shocked mostly by Tiffany, in the beginning I really disliked her but by the end she had me amazed by what she did for Christos . Awesome series !!
Loved this series so much, I literally could NOT put the books down (I mean literally) when I wasn't reading them all I could think about was what would happen next in the lives of Christos and Samantha. The insight into the art world was a very refreshing read and helped keep everything interesting especially how volatile and demanding the industry can be. I think I've slightly fallen in love with Christos after finishing all three (Adontis is a prick), while I'm sure devons mix between YA and NA genres only spurred that further, I'm sure I will find out when I read more of devons work. But As a 25 YO mother of 2 this is just the writing style I have been looking for. I really enjoyed The characters and plot progression both had many moments that were funny as hell, I spend many times over the last few days looking like a fanatic randomly laughing out loud at the crazy language and character banter in all three books.
Samantha grows so much as a person finding her way through her first year of college! She has many challenges to face from parents, her own past, finding what true friendships are, and finding her true love. Christos is also remarkable throughout the series, he has to also face his past mistakes while working through his true feelings for Samantha. This box set is full of love, suspense, heartache, and comedy relief. I love Romeo and his zero filter on his mouth, Kamiko and her determination, and Mads and her true friendship and loyalty. It's an excellent read and very hard to put down, always something going on. Wandering how it's going to turn out in the end, love the ending as well. Can't wait to read about other characters in different books from Devon!!!
It kept me interested just enough to finish, but I don't think I will go for anymore from this author. Perhaps I am not the target audience. The main characters are 19 and 22. They go from acting like college kids to making more adult decisions, back to being stupid college kids, with no rhyme or reason. Also, Romeo (a side character) is just a sexual harassment case waiting to happen. I did not find him funny at all, just really annoying. The Tiffany character was also over the top, and the motivations behind her actions do not fit. She goes too far, and it is very hard to believe. Ugh...the more I write the sorrier I am for finishing the books....two weeks worth of evenings I will never get back.
This series was so enjoyed that I found it hard to read it because I never wanted it to end. Fell in love with the characters and having been a part of the Art world in real life it brought back so many memories and my love of art. Devon I want to be your friend and hang out in your writing please. So hope you do write another book that continues their lives, so much more to be written about. This is a book series you should definitely read and I am going to be telling everyone that will listen to do just that, Thank you Devon, Cheers

I loved this series so much! I fell in love with Samantha and Christos from Page one. They stole mu heart. But another thing that kept me hooked to this series wasn't just the love story that is Chistos and Samantha it was ROMEO! Holy moly that guy is funny! I was literally LOL'in all over the place reading some of the stuff he same out with! He should so have his own book! That would be awesome! :)
So my heart was in my throat some of the time, I laughed half of the time out loud. The characters were so full of amazing personalities even the Professors. I will read the entire series Again.
The book one eas nice and funny, Sam is a little bit simple and dump, Christos is perfectt, the book two was a little be boring I really hate Sam a Little... The book three oh boy It was a pain! Sometimes the dialogues and the story not have any sense...
