Straightforward plot and a great read.

Enjoyable read, it was a bit slow for my personal tastes with a predictable outcome at the end. However, I did fall for both Kai and Denali and their romantic relationship.
Kai certainly annoyed me in the first quarter of the book with his rude behaviour. He’s a workaholic perfectionist, which is admirable, but that doesn’t excuse his child-tantrum behaviour towards people. I mean he fires or looses people faster than his company can hire. However, Love and Denali’s take-no-bull attitude softens him up, and he becomes very protective and nurturing towards her, which I loved how she mellowed him.
I adored Denali. Although she’d been beaten down, she had a really strong take-no-bull attitude, which was fantastic as she would put her foot down with Kai and certainly didn’t take any of his nonsense, often calling him out. This was really fun.
Denali was in a bad position in the beginning, all because of her stalker ex-boss, who had her fired and blacklisted within the industry, all because she said ‘no’ to his sėxūal advances and cøercíon.
As luck would have it, Denali meets Arita, a liaison for an entertainment company, who sees something in her eyes that reminded her of herself a long time ago, so she offers Denali a job. Unfortunately (or fortunately ‘eventually’) she is hired to be an assistant to Kai. And this job ends up being 24/7 on call with Kai’s demanding diva behaviour.
Their relationship was quite combative to begin with, but over time they started to have feelings towards each other. Nonetheless, they’re boss and employee, so nothing can happen between them…….right!
Denali's ex-boss starts to make an appearance, slow at first but ramps up as the story progresses. Kai begins to observe something is upsetting Denali and this is when his protective nature starts to rise. He certainly turned out to be a sweetheart when he realised he’d fallen hard for Denali and once Kai had said out loud how he feels, he went 100% all in!
Nice, sweet, easy read, with a little action at the end ⭐️

You know Ms. Risque gives readers dark. This one was sweet with some dark undertones. Not as dark as Ms. Risque normally gets. Ms. Risque is giving readers range and I am here for it. Denali Stone has finally met someone who could help her. She met Arista Simmons by happenstance. That meeting will lead to her life changing. After hitting yet another brick wall, Denali called Arista and Arista quickly offered Denali a job. No, not the job she usually does. She will be a personal assistant to a kpop star that was just signed to kNight Entertainment.
Kai Kobayashi was new to the scene and had been out of the music scene for a while. He was known for being difficult. Denali is stepping into a line that two other personal assistants has walked away from. Arista saw something in Denali. Because she had worked with stars in the past as a social media manager, she knew how to handle the difficult situation she had been thrust into. Denali needed this job. She and her cat, Taco, were struggling before this job came along because of one person. Denali's previous boss had blacklisted her. Yes, he had the pull to do it. Not only that, he left her with a bad case of PTSD. He also made sure she knew he was always watching. Denali was afraid she would lose her job, but could not stop the feelings of helplessness that came when he surfaced again.
Denali handled Kai well and did her job. The more time they spent together, the more they got to know each other. Of course feelings start to develop. This book gets steamy but it takes a while. Ms. Risque makes readers feel the slow burn right along with the characters. Denali tries to stay professional but feelings refuse to be contained. Denali refuses to let Kai be in danger because of her situation. It might be something that even she can't prevent. This slow burn love story with a stalker will have readers unable to put this book down.

If she writes it, I will read it.
I gobbled this book right up. Denali and Kai had me in a trance as I watched them fall for each other. The banter and the chemistry, as expected, were top tier. And they’ve made their way onto my favorite couples list. Kai in particular is definitely one of my favorite Heleva Risqué mmc’s. He was stubborn and a bit of an a-hole, but I couldn’t help but fall for him once those layers of that rough exterior were peeled back. And he was so cute at times, especially when it came to how he was falling for Denali. He just stole my heart as I kept reading.
And Denali had me right from the start. She’s struggling and trying her best after a terrible past experience that’s still haunting her. The world, and some of the terrible people in it, have beaten her down left and right. But she’s tenacious and refuses to give up. I loved her fire and how she refused to let the past continue to hinder her.
I’m so ready to keep diving into this world.

I loved this! It's Kai & Denali's story & it was awesome! She was in a bad situation with her old boss & he blacklisted her everywhere after she left. She was lucky enough to land another job, but being a PA to Kai has its own issues; he had pretty much fired everyone else. Their chemistry was great & she handles him like a pro. But her past catches up to her; her former boss is stalking her & it's freaking her out. Kai does everything he can to help with the situation & the feelings they have for one another comes to the surface; but danger surrounds her & her old boss finally goes too far & it puts both of them in harm's way. I loved the spice & the storyline was fantastic! Highly recommend this book & author!

Honest, wasn't sure about this one. Then... well cant help but fall for the story.
Fire and gas, that's what these two are. Even when they dont admit to the chemistry burning.
How it started. She needed a job. He needed a social walking calender. He pretty much fired most of the staff around him... ir they walked. Sometimes you just get what you need. Denali was on point.
Then the creepy happens . The not so past shows its face promising the dark and twisted.
For this story the heat is just right. The story holds its own.

A hot, close proximity story between Kai and Denali. Denali is trying to get her life back on track after her stalker ex-boss gets her blacklisted in the industry, so she takes the assistant job offered to her for the difficult idol, Kai.
The main characters have a great back and forth with a bit of a power struggle of who is in charge. Their relationship progresses over time, but the ex-boss soon causes problems.

Sometimes a guy just needs a woman to put him in his place! Our fmc does just that! Shes the perfect amount of sass n spunk to match his big ego and asshole ways. Kai is really a golden retriever but on the exterior a German Shepard. He really stood no chance in not falling for his assistant. This was a semi fast paced but slow on the burn love story. I’m excited to see where these next stories take us!

Kai and Denali have an interesting start to their relationship. Kai is a bit of a jerk of a boss, but Denali knows how to put him in his place. However, over time we see Kai soften a little towards Denali. I loved how once her personal life started to get tumultuous, Kai noticed and did what he could to help her. He was a great and protective presence for her and helped her overcome some of her demons. Great story.

I really enjoyed this read, Heleva Risque does it again. We are following Denali as she searches for a new job after being blacklisted by her ex-boss. After meeting someone at a bar she is offered a job to be the assistant for Kai, an idol who over works and needs everything a certain way. Denali needs this job too much to let him push her around cause she pushes right back. I loved how their relationship grew and his character growth was great. I can’t wait to see what’s coming next.

Denali needed a job badly and couldn't refuse the offer to be an assistant to Kai. Kai turns out to have a ridiculously busy schedule. He has either fired most of his staff or they have left. Denali is made of tougher stuff plus her former boss shows up to complicate things. The two end up together at the end of the night while on a business trip. Denali and Kai are perfect opposites and match each other.

Oh is he ever so grump and has high demands! Four assistants fired until her! She blew him away with how well she did. But she is carrying some scary things with her. But the moment he stood next to her and showed that he was there for her no matter what, was the true moment of pure sweetness, because she needs some good in her life. I can’t wait for the next book!

I received this as an ARC. Heleva does it again. This isn’t a Port Wylde book but some old friends do make an apperance. Angel, my favorite, I’m looking at you. Kai and Denali is this book are so good and I am looking forward to the other books in this series as they come. Heleva keeps us edging in this one. We meet Kai via Angel and thier shared Violet eyes are drool worthy. Honestly this read was a little tame compared to Angel's introduction. I felt this is totally the right call as the culture is different and I think she's done a great job paying honor to that.

Considering Kai is an idol he comes across so human and reasonably normal. I really enjoyed this story and Kai and Denali are just perfect for each other. I loved the build of their relationship and the banter. Cant wait for the next one.

This was a fun story! A boss and his assistant, with some stalker drama thrown in.
I adored Denali, the FMC. She was just sassy and so not afraid to say whatever she thought in order to get Kai wherever he needed to be.
I liked the banter between them and their relationship. They had great chemistry, working and otherwise!

Quick fun read. If you love a bossy FMC who falls for her boss this is for you. I loved the suspense and mystery as well as the we can’t do this vibes. The spice was hot but the banter was what really sold me! There’s a lot less violence than the Port Wylde but still you get all the excitement.

If it is a book written by Heleva, I am reading it! I gobbled this sweet, slightly dark romance, up. Kai was the definition of simp for Denali. I loved the witty banter, spice and storyline. I look forward to reading the 2nd book in the series.

Wow what a story. He falls first, he’s famous she is his assistant. Hot and spicy when they finally get to it lol. Stalker drama that unfolds in the worst ways. Overall a very good story and I can’t wait for more.

Hands down one of my favorite authors and this book did not disappoint!! While it wasn’t as dark as her usual books I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this book from the plot to the characters!

This book had me completely hooked — especially with the stalker storyline adding that constant edge of tension.
They fell fast, but the chemistry and buildup were so good that I didn’t even mind. The tension? Chef’s kiss. Loved it.
But I can’t be the only one who needs more depth from this world. I wanted so much more about Kai’s brother, the other two, and especially his group mate. Their stories felt like they were just starting to unfold, and I need the details. There’s so much potential there — give me the backstories, the drama, all of it.
