Superhumans, cyborgs, and monsters have become a regular occurrence, resulting in the establishment of the Counter Meta Initiative (CMI) to deal with such threats. Amidst all of this, Dr. Hisako Uchida is hired by millionaire Andy Daily to create a new kind of superhuman, someone who possessed the ability to manifest a biological suit to survive hostile conditions. Using a DNA sample of unknown origin, she, through genetic engineering, gives birth to this superhuman, her son Kai Joseph Uchida. When he comes of age, his power emerges, but with a monstrous the bio-suit not only takes the form of a large, powerful reptilian creature, but he becomes more ferocious in this state. Horrified by what she did to her son, Hisako aims to instead have him live a normal life. Later, she is kidnapped by Typhon, a terrorist group that seeks to exploit Kai’s innate power for their own sinister cause. Luckily for Kai, he finds himself under the protection of CMI. With guidance from the organization’s unusual agents, he endeavors to learn how to control the beastly side he fears so he can take the fight to Typhon and save his mother. What is the extent of his power? Is he a hero of justice or a monster in the making?
