Nathanael Hummel doesn't pull any punches in his debut novel. From first page to last, Treasure Is My Trade keeps you hooked with action packed adventure. Nate Colt's sense of humor and questionable morals make him great to tag along with (unless he double crosses you). Looking forward to future entries in this series!

Treasure Is My Trade by Nathanael Hummel is a riveting debut. Nate Colt, a roguish treasure hunter, chases the lost writings of Socrates in a thrilling, fast-paced adventure. Hummel’s unique and charming writing voice blends wit, tension, and vivid settings, gripping you throughout. Classic Action and Adventure
This is action packed adventure for fans of things like Uncharted and Clive Cussler. The focus is narrower, centering mostly on the exploits of a single two-fisted character with smaller, more personal stakes. If I had to leverage one piece of criticism, I'm not the biggest fan of 1st person narrative. That said, the style does lend this work a certain noir-ish sensibility that works for the characters and situations. This is an easy recommendation for fans of Pulp-y adventure.

Non-stop action! This is a glorious throwback to the pulps, old movie serials, and a glorious tribute to the action adventure genre.

I’m such a sucker for this genre. It’s just fun adventure. I’ve loved everything I’ve read from Veritas and this one hits just like all the others. Can’t wait to read more Nate Colt adventures!
