When her mother becomes engaged to the high school principal, Kayano's life gets even more complicated since the principal's son, Takeru, constantly bullies her.
I like that the family is sticking together, letting everyone have a chance at happiness!
Now, the whole Takeru’s mother and Italy thing??? I don’t understand why Takeru would even think about going if he hasn’t seen/talked to his mother in 10 years… Do you even feel like that’s your mother after 10 years apart????
And one last thing… Kayano is getting more pretty as time goes on in this series!!! The characters are getting older. The mangaka did a great job at showing that!
Aww, Takeru and Kayano are so cute together!! Since everyone knows about them dating, they are able to go around doing couple things. No more worrying about being found out. I'm happy for them because the two of them are able to be free and not hide their feelings. My favorite scene was when Takeru was in bed and he asked Kayano to sit with him. Then the dad walked in later and saw them asleep and holding hands. Gah! That was so adorable!
I hate the mom already. She hasn't really done anything horrible yet, but I'm not liking her. She seemed a bit selfish to want to take Takeru away with her. She can't be away from her kid and then one day waltz back in and try to buddy buddy it. I don't blame Takeru for wanting to distance from her. Also, I don't want Takeru to go with her to Italy. The whole scenario makes me madder at the mom for messing up Takeru and Kayano's relationship. They went through all this angst about secretly dating. Now that everything is finally okay, you'd think that things would be happy, but NO! Since it's a manga, they have to throw in one last conflict before the end.
Confessing to the person you like is never easy, having the attention seeking Edogawa Tekeru know who you like is even worse. Kayano thought high school was going to be hard enough but take on running errands for Takeru and it is almost unbearable especially when their parents are getting married and they have to move in with one another.
I loved the storyline development and growth of the characters. This is a series that I was really excited about reading. The romance does not start at the beginning but it grows stronger because of everything the couple has to overcome and go through. Kayano is a lovable personality and even though most people do not like Takeru in the beginning, he grows on you too.
Note: This review was completed after reading volumes 1-11.
Finally, Takeru and Kayano can be happy and open about their relationship. Whew! Of course, there has to be drama somewhere, and so the new drama is coming from Takeru's mom, who abandoned him as a child but now claims to want him back, and wants him to move to Italy with her. Why he would do that, I don't know. I guess we'll see.
