Alpha Bully (Alpha Kings Island Book 1)

Alpha Bully (Alpha Kings Island Book 1) ~~ I read this book on Kindle, and it definitely pulled me right into the world of Alpha Kings Island. If you enjoy rejected mates, secret baby storylines, and brooding Alpha males, this book delivers exactly that kind of drama.
The story follows Ava, who has secretly loved Callum, her brother’s best friend and the future Alpha, for years. Callum is the typical powerful Alpha — arrogant, intense, and completely convinced he’s in control of everything. The problem is that when Ava finally gives her heart to him, things do not go the way she expected. Instead of claiming her, Callum rejects her in the most painful way possible.
What really kept me reading was the emotional tension between them. Ava goes through so much after Callum pushes her away, especially when a secret baby becomes part of the story. Meanwhile Callum slowly starts realizing that his decision might have been the biggest mistake of his life. Watching him struggle with his feelings while Ava tries to rebuild her life added a lot of drama and angst to the story.
There are plenty of classic shifter romance elements here—pack politics, Alpha power struggles, and the whole fated-mate tension—but the emotional push and pull between Ava and Callum is what really drives the story forward.
If you like possessive Alphas who eventually have to grovel for forgiveness, secret babies, and emotional second chances, this one is definitely worth reading.
I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself ~ you won’t regret it.

Ava has been ostracized and bullied her entire life. Her parents are criminals and alcoholics who live on the outskirts of the pack. When everyone is gone at camp, the alpha’s oldest son, Callum is hurt. He and Ava work together on a project for school. When things turn hot and heavy between them, she is happy. One day, she is going to his house, he comes down to greet her, is mean to her and rejects her…his father has passed. Now, he has to step up. She leaves in tears!

Her brother never stood up for her and he became the alpha’s beta. Ava was taken hostage by a couple of rogue shifters. She had a daughter that displayed her father’s magic. When Ava takes her away to escape, the others chase her. Callum comes to the rescue and takes them back to his home for protection. Ava hates being back. She hides as long as she can indoors. Charlie’s mate has always been friends with her and starts renewing that bond. Rogue attacks are becoming bolder and more frequent.

Callum and his two brothers will have to make a plan to protect their packs. They are after Harper, Ava’s daughter. Will he ever find out she is his also? Will he take her from Ava? Will Ava’s wolf come back? So much occurs! Love this story and new series. The world building is fantastic. This is a story to keep and reread.

Ava is rejected by her Alpha mate and flees her pack. The wolves who find her turn her into their household slave and when she gives birth they use her daughter to keep her in line. Her wolf had been absent ever since Callum rejected them and she had no way to defend Harper. Overhearing the couple discussing a plan to dump Harper off somewhere while keeping Ava, she sneaks out with the child while they sleep. When they track her down she knows she can't beat them in a fight, just then a wolf comes out of nowhere and runs the others off. Somehow she isn't surprised that it is Callum, the last person she wanted to see. He convinces her to come back to town with him where she will be safe. But will she? She can't tell him Harper is his daughter. He might try to keep her. And then there is her traitorous she-wolf who sudden seems to be lurking in her mind, still wanting her mate.

Loved little Harper. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Ava and Callum
This is one emotional rollcoaster. My heart went out to Ava. She had to endure her packs disdain, being rejected by her fated mate, give birth to her mates daughter alone while being a slave to an awful couple, having that couple threaten her daughter, same couple caught her running away from them to keep her safe, back with the mate who rejected her and more of the packs disdain, her daughter kidnapped, and let's not mentioned her wolf hi away from her for years after her mate rejected her. She showed more strength than any of the other characters including Callum. He allowed other opinions and perception cloud what was really important. At least throughout the story his grew up and managed to be a true mate and alpha.
I really got into this story. It's well written, action packed, plenty of danger, steamy, and HEA.

I enjoyed this first book in the Alpha Kings Island series. In it, we are introduced to Ava and Harper, who are on the run and trying to evade rogue wolves who want to take her child from her and use her magic. Things look pretty dire, and you wonder if there is a way out, and that's when Callum arrives and offers his help.

Ava finally makes it back to her childhood pack but then must face her father and come to terms with her past. The story flows well and has lots of unexpected twists and turns.

Pretty simple straightforward rejected mate story. Nothing special but I did appreciate that there wasn’t any jealous ow drama, and the twist with the villain at the end was different (definitely more to come from him I think).

Beware, there were a lot of editing mistakes, and I don’t like that there wasn’t any meaningful resolution with how the pack treated her so terribly throughout the story.

second chances

Alpha Bully is book one in the series Alpha Kings Island by author Kayla Wolf. This is quite the tale. I almost want to hate the MMC along with some other MCs one in particular, however the groveling is adequate. Now the MFC is very sweet, lovely and fierce when she needs to be.
There’s more of course- a bad character is out there and he wants a certain someone and their magic.
The angst in this one is so top level.
