I read this book because what I knew about Go was some superficial knowledge that is already a couple of years ago, and I wanted to be able to have an informed opinion on the language. Matt is doing a really good job at giving a quick overview of the language for experienced programmers. Even though the book is lacking in-depth information on some of the topics, I found it to be quite helpful – there a quite a few well-done exercises and lots of references to additional material.

Great introduction for the working programmer. It is a thin and fast paced book. It includes pointers towards other recommended resources on the internet.

This is a great book for getting an overview on Golang.
Quick read, simple and focused.

Great formatting. Good intro. Lacking in details, especially for the meaty topics such as concurrency and pointers.
