From the Pacific Northwest to the Big Apple, the Incarnate Watch is spreading the Emery and Caden are tying the knot! It’ll be the largest intermingling of incarnates and mortals in decades, maybe centuries.
Wedding planning can be stressful for anyone—and most couples don’t have to worry about vendors being struck by sudden plagues or historic venues turning into crime scenes. Emery and Caden are in love, determined, and on a deadline. Emphasis on dead. So when they find a remote, charming bed-and-breakfast with a full complement of staff committed to making their day special, the lovebirds pack their things and head out for the most exciting weekend of their lives… if they can survive it.
The date is set, the guest list is finalized, and catering, gratuity, and attempted murder are all included in the price. But you never know who’s going to turn up at a wedding…
It was another mysterious adventure with Emery, Caden, Rachelle, plus some new and old characters! This story had everything from romantic wedding details, nods to past books, action, and of course murder.
I love the concept of this series - it's an interesting take, and well-built - but this one was *rough*. Way too much exposition and repeated explaining of the protagonist's situations, and even if the last quarter was full of action and surprises, it never felt like there were any stakes.
Holy cripes …. This was a great book! The tear jerking ending got me, but wow I’m counting down the 1001 days to the next book. A true genius in plotting out a loophole of a book series
