How can one twin forget the other? And what will it take to remember, twelve years later?
Samantha Singh, a 28-year-old interior designer and Park City shop owner has no memory of her life before the age of 16, of growing up in Georgia, or having a twin sister, Alli. After finding a clue to her past in some old boxes belonging to her deceased parents, Samantha and her younger sister, Laila, travel to a quaint suburb of Atlanta, where her past begins to unravel. Samantha discovers how one innocent night camping in the nearby woods with long forgotten friends changed everything after a gut-wrenching scream and a deadly discovery. Now, she alone holds the key to uncovering what happened to Alli, but the answer is locked deep inside Samantha’s mind. An answer that will change the lives of everyone she loves. This book is a story of young love cut short, stolen innocence, and a surprising twist that will lead to Samantha’s forgotten past.
Searching for lost memories can be like chasing fireflies in the night sky. The truth can illuminate. But it can also burn.
This was a great read! The author hooks you into the story so you are desperate to find out what happens next. I loved the characters and want to be their friends...well, most of them, and you'll know who the exception is after you read it. I felt the emotions of the characters along with my own. It was suspenseful, engaging, and heartwarming. I definitely recommend it!
Very entertaining read from start to finish. The author is talented in describing a scene. From minute details of the furniture all the way to how each character is feeling in that moment, it’s very easy to place yourself in the room with them, and it’s exactly this talent that makes some scenes difficult to read. I would very much look forward to a series based on the lives of these characters and their north Atlanta universe.
An excellent read—engaging from start to finish. I found it difficult to put down, as it held my attention throughout. Those with an appreciation for psychological mysteries will find this novel especially compelling!
