Sometimes finding love at the wrong time and in the wrong place can be exactly what is needed.

Sammy has dedicated her life to helping others. She doesn't have an enemy in the world, so why is she suddenly on the Dark Walkers most-wanted list?

Jonty, a soldier from the future, has been sent back to the twenty-first century to eliminate the Dark Walkers. He hates this time period and wants nothing more than to get in, perform his duties, avoid all distractions, and get out. But that changes when he meets Sammy. There is something about her, beyond her beauty and courage, which he can't resist.

When Sammy is saved by Jonty, it's insta-boom-lust. There is nothing complicated about how this strong, sexy man makes her feel. And she knows Jonty feels the same way, so why does he resist her?

With humanity under threat, and both their lives in danger, there are greater things at stake than a little romance. Or is there? Destiny may have other plans. And their deep sexual attraction may just be the key to saving them all.

Content contains steamy sex, mature language, and some violence

"I really liked this story, it's sweet and romantic with a sexy alpha but has elements of danger and lots of suspense in it as well. It was entertaining and had me hooked from the first chapter, it has the right amount of romantic build-up, heat, and action." Cocktails and Books

One word to describe this story: different. I've read time-travel stories before. Most have been present to past or past to present, but I haven't read one that's future to present.

It's clear from Jonty's POV that he wants nothing to do with Sammy. She's beautiful and courageous, but she's a magnet for Dark Walkers, demons he's been sent to hunt and kill. He can't figure out why they want her or why she even appeals to him, but he's a soldier and he'll do what he does best: protect the innocent.

I liked Sammy. *chuckles* I liked her freak outs, shows of courage, and moments of vulnerability. But I loved her passion, her determination, and her faith in Jonty. She didn't have a reason to trust him, didn't have to take him for his word, but she did and it was so cool to see what giving that little bit to Jonty did for her, him, and them.

Point to you, Ms. Underdown. The reason for Jonty's trip back to the twenty-first century was completely unexpected. Their relationship was nicely written, but I'm in awe of how you took your time revealing the reason for them being together. And the ending? I like how you didn't forget that only one of them can time travel and it isn't Sammy.

This is a great story for anyone looking for a quick read that's fast paced and action packed with the perfect amount of romance. The characters are developed and their relationship happens naturally, which was surprising for such a short story.

Will you write anymore about this dynamic duo and their role on the future? I hope so.

When I started reading Demon Hunter by Jacquie Underdown, I did not know what to expect. I was drawn into this book from the first chapter and could not put it down. I fell in love with the characters and wanted to know what was going to end up happening to them. This was not the typical Demon Hunter book that I am used to but so much better!

I fell in love with Jonty from the moment I met him in the story. The way that he felt the need to protect Sammy from the beginning was so comforting and gave me a warm fuzzy feeling for him. I loved that he was honest with Sammy and that he knew exactly what he wanted and was willing to go the distance to prove his love for her. Jonty added plenty of sexual scenes to the book to keep it on fire too. The way that Sammy and Jonty connected is what others dream about having with that special someone.

I love the way the storyline kept you wondering what was going to happen and kept you wanting to read to find out. I read this one in two sittings which is very rare for me but I wanted to know how it was going to end! I loved that there was a HEA ending and that these two could start their lives together without having to worry about anything. Thanks Jacquie Underdown for a great quick read. Look forward to more from you!

This was a different take on time travel. It had some hot sexy scenes and some good romance. It had a paranormal aspect to it as well. Good writing. I would like to read more by this author.
