A chilling and deeply personal journey into the unseen battle between good and evil, My Confrontation with Hell - Real Demonic Encounters of an Exorcist, unveils the harrowing reality of demonic possession and the relentless fight to overcome it. Drawing from his firsthand experiences as an exorcist, Msgr. Stephen Rossetti delivers a gripping and unflinching account of real-life encounters with the forces of darkness-cases where malevolent entities sought to destroy, and only the power of faith and the divine stood in their way.
Through riveting narratives and detailed case studies, Rossetti takes readers into the heart of spiritual warfare, where the struggle against evil is both terrifying and transformative. With meticulous insight, he exposes the tactics of the demonic and the unwavering strength required to resist them.
In a powerful and unique addition to the book, Rossetti shares the first hand testimonies of three individuals who endured the torment of Satan himself. Their courageous stories offer an intimate look at the darkness of demonic affliction, the excruciating struggle to break free, and the ultimate triumph of hope and renewal.
Raw, revelatory, and deeply moving, My Confrontation with Hellis more than a book-it is a testament to the enduring power of faith in the face of unimaginable evil.
For several years now I have been subscribed to The St. Michael Center and receive blog posts as well as numbered Exorcist Diary entries written by Msgr. Rossetti. He is considered the foremost exorcist in the country these days. At a time in the world when almost no one can deny that evil is on the rise, it is good to be forewarned.
In this book, Msgr. Rossetti's third, he covers a number of topics which he has seen firsthand and/or his fellow priest exorcists have during exorcisms. He describes what has worked and what has gone wrong, meaning where Satan has succeeded. Msgr. describes the "Occult Third Eye", some type of bonding to demons which is given when a person practices divinization and the horror of trying to free the individual from this. But he also talks about those who help him on his team; people who have been given special gifts from God, such as spiritual sensitives and burden bearers. He insists that he never goes into an exorcism alone, but always with a team of prayer warriors.
Msgr. Rossetti's descriptions of how the Saints and Our Lady help in this work is incredibly inspiring. As he did in his other book, Diary of an American Exorcist, he explains that Jesus never intervenes in exorcisms. Although he doesn't say for sure why this is, he believes it is because Satan is a mere creature and it is beneath God's dignity to battle with a creature. Instead, Jesus asks His Mother to go, which absolutely infuriates Satan to be overpowered, as he is, by a mere humble maid. When Mary comes, the demons HOWL! As Msgr. Rossetti insists, the demons are Catholic. Not practicing of course; they hate the church! But they are nevertheless bound to respect all the prayers, traditions and truths taught by the magisterium of the Catholic Church. He warns new exorcist priests not to think they can come up with something new which will defeat Satan on their own. Stick with what the Church has taught for hundreds of years. It may not sound glamourous, but it works.
If you don't believe in Satan or you do, you will be more than ever convinced after reading this. At the end, there are three real cases which are presented. The really sad thing for me to read here was that there are Catholics and even Catholic priests who don't believe in the devil. God, please help us!
Our Lady of Victory, pray for us! St. Michael, the Archangel, pray for us!
This was an absolutely fascinating book! And instead of scaring me like I thought it would (although that was not my intention for reading it), I actually found it to be strangely comforting. There is no power of evil that can overcome the power of God. And that is a very happy thought. This is a great book for those interested in learning about this ministry or for those who fear that they may be caught up with forces beyond their control.
